Elizabeth W. Gibson
Elizabeth Wheeler Gibson, 80, of Lisa Avenue died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Oct. 7, 1920, in Danville, she was a daughter the late Martin L. and Jessie B. Thompson Wheeler. She was a retired manager of Britts Department Store and employee of J.J. Newberry. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she was a member of the of Prime Timers choir and a pianist for over 50 years. She was a 1939 graduate of Danville High School .
Survivors include her husband, Billy Joe Gibson; a brother, Cecil Wheeler of Danville; and two sisters, Lela Terrell and Geneva Robertson, both of Danville.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Johnny L. Belcher
Services for Johnny Lee Belcher, 49, of Georgetown, formerly of Parksville, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Gary Story. Burial will be in Parksville Cemetery.
Born Aug. 8, 1951, in Marion, Ind., he was a son of the late John H. and Dorothy Westerfield Belcher. He was a stone and brick mason and a Faith Mission Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Vicki Vaught of Parksville and Jessica M, Williams of Lebanon; a son, Darrick J. Belcher of Virginia Beach, Va.; and a stepson, Jason Palms of Milwaukee, Wis.; a sister, Linda Holley of Parksville; three brothers, Mike Belcher of Danville, David Belcher of Landis, N.C., and Gary Belcher of Lancaster; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ricky, Randy and Lee Belcher, Billy Pike, Ricky Johnson and Danny Caldwell. Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Satterly, Bart Lamoy, Jerry Wilson, Eddie Leigh, David Wilson and Jimmy Riley.

Dorothy S. Miller, 78, of Stevenson Avenue died Monday at Hospice Care Center in Lexington.
Born Nov. 22, 1921 in Huntington, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Covey and Amy Purdue Smith.
She was a retired hospital admissions clerk and former bookkeeper, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Miller; a son, Michael D. Miller of Danville; a daughter, Susan M. Smith of Flatwoods; a brother, Forest Smith of Mount Olivet; and a grandchild.

Forest Ashford
HARRODSBURG -- Services for Forest "Doc" Ashford, 77, of Cornishville Street will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by John Hockersmith. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery with military rites.
He died Sunday at his home.
Born Dec. 7, 1922, in Mercer County, he was a son of the late James and Annie Kurtz Ashford.
He was a retired farmer and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Joseph Chapel Methodist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.
Survivors include a son, Ron Ashford of Lexington; a daughter, Debbie Klausing of Louisville; a brother, Garnett Ashford of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Eva Lay of Harrodsburg and Cora Ratliff of Lexington; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Ashford.
Pallbearers will be Marvin, Charlie and Jimmy Ashford, Eddie Lay, Rodney Noel, Paul and Daniel Klausing and Donald Goodlett.
Honorary pallbearers are grandchildren.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. today.

LIBERTY -- Luther "Taff" Wesley, 83, of Bethelridge died Wednesday at Russell County Hospital.
Born May 2, 1917, in Casey County, he was a son of the late Guy and Tilda Spears Wesley. He was a retired farmer and a member of Bethelridge United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Charles Wesley of Illinois; two daughters, Elsie Wesley of South Carolina, and Neola Welsey of New York; and a niece who was his caregiver, Norma Watson of Liberty.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethelridge United Methodist Church by Brian James. Burial will be in Bethelridge Cemetery.

Survivors include cousins, Elizabeth Singleton of Danville and Rose Graves of Liberty; and a companion, Sopronia Reese of Danville. She was preceded in death by a son, Harrison Rogers Jr.

Survivors include her husband, Tom Fielder; a brother, Marion Vorhies of Frankfort; two grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Scrogham Key.
Pallbearers will be Richard Key, Gerald Key, Ed Fielder, Donald and Gene Fielder and Douglas Vorhies.
