STANFORD -- Joseph Thomas Goode, 73, of Maupin Road, Lancaster, died Monday at his residence.
Born June 19, 1929, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Eugene Emil Good Sr. and Mary Bernice Brown Good Cooper. He was a painting contractor and a furniture builder.
Survivors include his wife, Audrey Bernice French Goode; a daughter, Beverly G. Embry of Georgetown; two brothers, Billy Lee and Eugene E. Good Jr., both of Richmond; and three sisters, Sue Osborne of Louisville, Eugenia Young of Lancaster and Margaret Lunsford of Union; and a grandson.
A private memorial service will be held later. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Marvin J. Kinnard
Services for Marvin Jackson Kinnard, 58, of Lancaster will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Rev. Johnathan Ward. Burial will be in Manse Cemetery.
He died Sunday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital.
Born Nov. 18, 1944, in Garrard County, he was the son of the late Anna Sparks Kinnard. He was a retired employee of Bluegrass Army Depot. He was a member of Paint LIck United Methodist Church and a former member of the Lancaster Lions Club.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Kinnard; a daughter, Tonyia Kinnard Mitchell of Lexington; three brothers, Kenneth Kinnard of Science Hill, Frank Kinnard of Liberty and Phillip Kinnard of Moyock, N.C.; a sister, Romama Finley of Fort Meyers, Fla.; and a grandson.
Pallbearers will be Dallas Kinnard, Stephen Kinnard, Lonnie Roy Sparks, John Wesley Simpson, Sherman Sparks, Larry Sparks and Cecil Sparks.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today.

Stephen G. Price, 59, of Cheryl Lane in Danville died Tuesday at his residence.
Born Jan. 25, 1943, in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late George Price and Evelyn Voight Price of Clearwater, Fla.
He was a self-employed accountant, an Army veteran, a member of the American Legion and a volunteer for Operation READ in Lexington. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Stagliano Price; a son, Michael Price of Bethpage, N.Y., two daughters, Stacy Price Miller of Dayton, Ohio, and Cheryl Robinson of Crofton, Md.; a brother, Michael Price of Lindenhurst, N.Y.; a sister, Susan Wall of Clearwater, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church by the Rev. Linh Mguyen.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. today and 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

GEORGETOWN -- Michael E. Shipley, 44, of Lexington died Sunday at St. Joseph Hospital East, Lexington.
Born July 19, 1958, in Scott County, he was the son of Elmer Shipley Jr. of Georgetown and the late Addie Jo Smith Shipley. He was the owner of Studio One and was a songwriter and musician. He was a member of Georgetown Baptist Church.
Additional survivors include his wife, Jan Cupp Shipley of Lexington, formerly of Lancaster; a son, Michael Paul Shipley of Georgetown; a daughter, Amber Shipley of Frankfort; two brothers, Robert Gilmore Shipley and Floyd Calvin Shipley, both of Georgetown; and a sister, Jeannie Shipley Graves of Stamping Ground.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home by the Revs. Sandy Powell and James Prater. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brady Seals, Del Gray, Al Tackett, Fred Griffin, William Marshall, Bobby Adams, Skip Sasser and Danny Lynn.
Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Wednesday.

Grace N. Hamlin
Grace Nancy Hamlin, 91, of Charleston Health Care Center died Saturday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Sept. 27, 1911, in Nashville, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Dora Murphy Williams.
She was a retired restaurant manager in Winter Park, Fla., and a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. She was the widow of Donald W. Hamlin.
She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Thomas Hamner.
Survivors include three sisters, Gladys Caddell and Helen Anderson, both of Danville, and Hazel Thomas of Saint George, Utah; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

HARRODSBURG -- Christine Curtsinger Bishop, 87, of Bonny Lynn Drive died Saturday at Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation.
Born July 17, 1915, in Gravel Switch, she was the daughter of the late John and Hattie Curtsinger.
She was the widow of Howard Lee Bishop.
She was a retired seamstress at Mercer Dress Co. and a member of Magnolia Street Christian Church.
Survivors include three sons, Leslie Bishop of Salvisa, Don Bishop of Springdale, Ark., and Robert Bishop of Harrodsburg; two brothers, Russell Curtsinger of Harrodsburg and J.T. Curtsinger of Orlando, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Matthew Alha.
Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery.

A veteran of the Air Force, he was a retired lieutenant colonel.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Dennison Godbey; a brother, Therman Godbey of Bethelridge; and a sister, Audrey Callaham of New Carlisle, Ohio.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bethelridge United Methodist Church by the Rev. Brian Janes.
