Hobert Long
STANFORD -- Hobert Clay Long, 93, of Lancaster Street, died Friday at Stanford House Nursing Home.
Born Dec. 26, 1906, in Madison County, he was a son of the late Daniel Boone and Effie Singer Long.
He was a former Stanford police chief; a former Stanford City Council member; and a former owner/operator of Stanford Produce Co. He was an active member of Lincoln County Senior Citizens. He was the widower of Cynthia Lou Long.
Survivors include a son, Henry Clay Long of Brentwood, Tenn.; two daughters, Mary Lee Bullock of Charlottesville, Va., and Sue Woodall of Somerset; two grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are 2 p.m. today at Buffalo Springs Cemetery by Wayne Galloway.
Pallbearers are grandchildren.
Memorials may go to Stanford EMS.

Jalie S. Price
LANCASTER -- Jalie Sutton Price, 89, of Highland Avenue, died Saturday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital.
Born July 2, 1911, in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Henry Green and Rissie Herrin Sutton. She was a homemaker, a member of Drakes Creek Baptist Church and a member of Owen's Chapel Homemakers.
She was the widow of Carles B. Price.
Survivors include three sons, Bobby E. Price of Nicholasville, Shirley O. Price of Lexington and Gerald W. Price of Lancaster; two brothers, Oscar Sutton of Lexington and Edwin Sutton of Lancaster; a sister, Geraldine Parson of Lancaster; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Revs. Everett Priddy and Zora Oliver. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Reggie, Gary, Bobby, Chris and Greg Price, David Clark, David Fallis and Herb Lutz.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today.

Rodney Smith
MORELAND -- Rodney Smith, 56, of Hustonville, died Saturday at his residence of apparent natural causes.
Born February, 1943, in Casey County, he was a son of the late Bill and Maggie Russell Smith.
Survivors include six nieces and nephews, Sharon Caldwell, Stephanie Wilcher, Shannon Smith, Kenny Atwood, Jackie Atwood and Billy Joe Atwood.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.

A memorial service for David E. Wilson, 46, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Danville, will be 4 p.m. Saturday at the Danville Church of the Nazarene.

Rosalie Sutton
PATHFORK -- Rosalie Vivian Matheney Barnes Sutton, 83, of Pathfork died Wednesday at her home.
Born April 23, 1917 in Charleston, W.V., she was a daughter of the late E.J. and Ura H. Weeks Matheny. She was a member of the Insull Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Survivors include four sons, James, Keith and Earnest Barnes, all of Pathfork, and Paul Barnes of Rio Vista; three daughters, Mary Ealy of Pathfork, Glenna Brooks of Bulls Gap, Tenn., and Barbara Tirey of Harrodsburg; a brother, Harry Matheny of Berea; 20 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Barnes.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Pathfork Baptist Church by the Revs. Jim Green and John Ledger. Burial will be in Saylor Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Friday at Pathfork Baptist Church.

John C. Trisler
HARRODSBURG -- Services for John C. Trisler, 85, of Boswell Street will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by the Revs. Kenneth Whitehoue and Robert DeFoor. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
He died Wednesday at Haggin Hospital.
Born June 26, 1915, in Mercer County, he was a son of the late John and Lucy Baer Trisler. He was a retired tobacco grader for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He was a member of Harrodsburg Baptist Church and Glad Hand Sunday School class.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Jackson Trisler; two sons, John D. Trisler and Larry T. Trisler, both of Harrodsburg; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Gerald Sheperson, Harold Ballard, Tony Pinkston, Paul Devine, John Markel and Lee Dean.
Honorary pallbearers are members of Glad Hand Sunday School class.

Robert L. Wardlow
LANCASTER -- Services for Robert L. Wardlow, 78, of Hagan Court will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Rev. Rev. Bryce McGowan. Burial will be in Manse Cemetery, Paint Lick.
He died Thursday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital.
Born Oct. 19, 1921 in Garrard County, he was a son of James C. and Margaret Ball Wardlow. He was a retired Army colonel and a veteran of World War II. He served as part of the 4th Marine division in Iwo Jima, and participated in several other major operations. He was a member of Old Paint Lick Presbyterian Church, a past president of the Rotary Club, a member of Dix River Country Club and the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Meadors Wardlow; a daughter, Dr. Linda R. Wardlow of Stockholm, Sweden; a brother, Harold Wardlow of Columbus, Ohio; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Wardlow, Rusty Wardlow, Carl Baker, James Hicks, Burand Brown and Ben Arnold.
Honorary pallbearers are Russell Hester, Cecil Sanders, Everitt Henderson, Dan Ledford, Smith Ledford, Ernest Combs, Phil Price and Adrian Boyle.

Fred A. Anderson
Services for Fred Arnold Anderson, 80, of Madison Avenue will be 2 p.m. Friday at Stith Funeral Home by the Rev. Tim Mathis. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
He died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born July 18, 1920, in Duluth Minn., he was son of the late Matti and Lydia Hannila Anderson. He was a former owner of Anderson Builders and owner of Anderson Crafts. He was a member of First Baptist Church and a World War II Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Emma Hays Kennedy Anderson; two daughter, Dixie A. Taylor of Warsaw and Phyllis A. Robinson of Paris; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be nephews, John Hancock, Jimmy Peak, Charles Yates, and Carl, Powell, Russell, Fred and Dennis Martin.

SOMERSET -- Billy Jean Durham, 70, of Lucas Street, Junction City, died Monday at his residence.
Born March 31, 1930, in McCreary County, he was a son of the late Claude and Pernetta Lamb Durham. He was retired from Corning Glass Works.
He was the husband of Aldean Warman Durham.

Durham of Junction City; four daughters, Clela Ann Reynolds of Danville, Elizabeth Kay Foster of Stanford, and Juanita Curtsinger and Sharon Sue Franklin of Junction City; a brother, Claude Durham Jr. of McQueary County; three sisters, Ruby Taylor of Danville, Leona Clark of Orlando, Fla., and Georgia Owens of McCreary County; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Lange & New Brothers Funeral Home by Frank Sheene. Burial will be in Blue John Cemetery.
