Margaret L. Hood
LANCASTER -- Services for Margaret L. Hood, 74, of Lancaster will be 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church by the Rev. David McPherson. Burial will be in Duncantown Cemetery.
She died Tuesday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital.
Born Sept. 4, 1926, in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Lige and Georgia Robinson. She was self-employed and a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Robert L. Dunn, Charles Hood and Tony Hood, all of Lancaster, and Gary Robinson of Lexington; a daughter, Tina Hood of Lancaster; two sisters, Minnie Drake of Dayton, Ohio, and Bernice Johnson of Cleveland, Ohio; a brother, Bobby Johnson of Cleveland; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Catherine Dunn.
Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the church.

She died Tuesday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital.
Born Feb. 18, 1898, in Madison County, she was a daughter of the late John and Marian Dargavell Beasley. She was a retired employee of Cowden Manufacturing Co. and a member of Slate Hill Baptist Church in London.
Survivors include two daughters, Genea Wells of Middletown, Ohio, and Jewell F. Barnett of Chesapeake, Ohio; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Donald Garver, Mike Long, Joe DeBord, Larry Tillis, Chip Evans and Jerry Bell.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday.

Joseph Jones
LANCASTER -- Joseph "Joe" Jones, 70, of Lancaster died Sunday at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Lexington.
Born Jan. 22, 1931, in Indianapolis, he was a son of the late Henry and Pearl Hamilton Jones. He was a retired Navy hospital corpsman and a member of Hyattsville Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Maude Beasley Jones; two daughters, Tonya Jones of Stanford and Melody Jones of Lancaster; a brother, John Jones of Indianapolis; a sister, Sarah Jones of Indianapolis; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Spurlin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery with military rites by Caswell Saufley Post 18 of the American Legion.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Tuesday.

Homer Shelton
CRAB ORCHARD -- Homer Shelton, 82, of U.S. 150 east of Crab Orchard died Sunday at Rockcastle County Hospital.
Born March 11, 1919, in Crab Orchard, he was a son of the late Henry L. and Alka Saylor Shelton. He was a retired merchant, a farmer and a bus driver for Lincoln County schools. He was a member of Watts Chapel Baptist Church and an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Christine L. Shelton; a son, Homer Shelton Jr. of Lexington; a daughter, Nerissa L. Baker of Crab Orchard; three sisters, Wathena Fins, Dolly Holcomb and Henrietta Smith, all of Crab Orchard; two brothers, Charles Shelton of Rising Sun, Ind., and Johnny Shelton of Boulder, Colo.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruby I. Shelton.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at McKnight-Martin Funeral Home by Bobby Turner and Dan Gutenson. Burial will be in Crab Orchard Cemetery.

LIBERTY -- Bradley Lewis Weddle, 18, of Liberty died Saturday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.
Born July 29, 1982, in Casey County, he was a son of Chris and Connie Hatter Weddle of Liberty. He was a 2001 graduate of Casey County High School and a member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church.
Other survivors include a brother, Joshua Weddle of Liberty; two sisters, Aimee Weddle and Kristin Weddle, both of Liberty; grandparents, R.C. and Alma Weddle, and John S. and Mildred Hatter, all of Liberty; great-grandparents, Laura Weddle, and Melvin and Rose Hatter, all of Liberty.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Clifton Cowan and Danny Bailey. Burial will be in Fair Cemetery.
