William Benton
LIBERTY -- William Benton Jr., 72, of Shugar Hill Road died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born March 1, 1929, in Garrard County, he was the son of the late William and Alma Farley Benton. He was a machinist at Kelsey-Hays Co. in Detroit, Mich., a Navy veteran and a member of Temple Baptist Church in Detroit.
Survivors include his wife, Margie Campbell Benton; a son, Joseph A. Benton of Titusville, Fla., a daughter, Susan A. Emery of Ann Arbor, Mich.; two brothers, James and Carl Benton, both of Dayton, Ohio; a sister, Lois Belcher of Spring Hill, Fla.; and five grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Larry Davis. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Orville H. Howard
LANCASTER -- Orville H. Howard, 80, of Colony Road died Sunday at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Born Feb. 16, 1921, in Madison County, he was the son of the late Fred and Jessie Moberly Howard. He was a retired farmer, a World War II Army veteran, and a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Long Howard; a son, Wayne Howard of Berea; a daughter, Phyllis Bray of Berea; two brothers, Clyde Howard of Richmond and Buford Howard of Lancaster; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ramsey Funeral Home by Allen Keith and Bobby Greene. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Billy Hume, Doug Howard, Wendell Howard, Jimmy Howard, Glyndon Howard, Ricky Howard and Freddy Howard.
Honorary pallbearers are Travis Hume, Nolan Prewitt, Frank Moberly, Lloyd Moberly, James Ross, Ronnie Horn and David Short.

LIBERTY -- Clayton Rogers, 72, of Red Hill Road, Dunnville, died Saturday at his home.
Born Nov. 5, 1928, in Hamilton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Welby and Flora Bland Rogers. He was a machinist for U.S.A. Brick Co. in Cincinnati.
Survivors include his wife, Emma Lee Rogers; five daughters, Phyllis Styles, Kathy Mullins, Darlene Hooks and Diana Rogers, all of Cincinnati, and Sue Ridner of Florence; three sons, Gary Rogers of Lexington, Kenny Rogers of Cincinnati and Bobby Rogers of Galliton; 20 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Clifford Dehart. Burial will be in Whited Cemetery.

LIBERTY -- Lena Ann Wyatt, 87, of Ky. 206 died Friday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Nov. 24, 1913, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late John and Bessie Norman Mills. She was a homemaker, a member of Rhever Nazarene Church and the widow of Wayne Wyatt.
Survivors include four sons, Gene Wyatt of Chicago, Glenn and Burl Wyatt, both of Liberty, and J.B. Wyatt of Debary Fla.; five daughters, Betty Burton, Ines Goforth and Lavonia Helm, all of Cincinnati, Loretta Emerson of Millville, Ohio, and Anna Huff of Campbellsville; four sisters, Bertha Cleary and Edith Garrett, both of Dunnville, Nettie Howard of Miami, Fla., and Priscilla Brown of Yosemite; three brothers, Ernest Mills of Liberty and Lawrence and David Mills, both of Cincinnati; 21 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rhever Nazarene Church by Darrell Karnes and Darrell Pelston.
Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.

LANCASTER -- Graveside services for William Duvell McPherson, son of Stacy Strunk and Deborah McPherson, were held today at Duncantown Cemetery by the Rev. Barry Bowman.
He was stillborn Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville.
Other survivors include his sisters, Draven McPherson and Bryanna Strunk.

She died Saturday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Nov. 19, 1927, in Boyle County, she was a daughter of the late Ernest L. and Fannie Case Johnson. She was a homemaker and a member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church. She also was a graduate of Junction City High School.
Survivors include her husband, Alfred D. Royalty; two daughters, Janice E. Royalty of Danville and Charlotte K. Royalty of Lexington; and two sisters, Desarie Daugherty of Louisville and Thelma Hinkle of Independence.
Pallbearers will be James McDaniel, Chuck Daugherty, George Royalty, Lee Johnson, Justin Zornes, Matt Evans, and Joe and Jim Gibson.

Survivors include two sisters, Mildred Jones of Danville and Mabel Johnston of Dallas, Texas; and a brother, Roy Lee Jones of Michigan.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bellevue Cemetery by the Rev. Thomas Valentine.
