WAYNESBURG -- Graveside services for George Denny Hogue Jr., 67, of Louisville, formerly of Waynesburg, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Double Springs Cemetery by the Revs. Vola Brown and Scott Alewine. Military rites will be performed by Caswell-Saufley Post 18 of the American Legion and Masonic rites by Waynesburg Masonic Lodge 328.
He died Tuesday at Norton Audubon Hospital.
Born Feb. 20, 1934, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late George and Alpha Greer Hogue. He was a retired barber and an Air Force and Army veteran. He was a member of Waynesburg Masonic Lodge and Double Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Duane Hogue of Norway, S.C.; two sisters, Netha Marinos and Charlotte Dodson, both of Akron, Ohio; and a granddaughter.
Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Saturday until time of service at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home.

Larry Hardy
Graveside services for Larry Hardy, 71, of Oxford, Fla., will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Buffalo Springs Cemetery by the Rev. James Erwin.
He died Tuesday in Oxford.
Born July 8, 1930, in Four Mile, Ky., he was the son of the late Albert and Otie Gray Hardy. He was a retired long-distance truck driver.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Ann Hardy; three brothers, Virgil Hardy of Stanford and Ben Hardy and Billy Dean Hardy, both of Greenville, Ohio; a sister, Vivian Smith of Greenville; a half sister, Alberta Rake of Spring Lope, Mich.; three half brothers, John, Danny and Albert Hardy Jr., all of Greenville; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home.

Margaret Lucille Clark, 76, of Highfield Road, died Saturday.
She was born Sept. 26, 1924.
Survivors include her husband, James F. Clark; two sons, David Clark of Lexington and Merle Clark of Danville; a brother, Eugene Milburn of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Jewell Lester and Catherine Lowe, both of Danville; and four grandchildren.

Ada H. Hedland
Ada Henson Hedland, 93, of Logsdon Court, Louisville, died Saturday at home.
Born July 4, 1908, in Moreland, she was a daughter of the late John W. and Eliza Frost Henson. She was a 43-year veteran teacher, most recently at Middletown School. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Middletown. She was the widow of Victor O. Hedland.
Survivors include a daughter, Dixianna H. Sleadd of Middletown; a son, Victor A. Hedland of Fairborn, Ohio; a brother, James W. Henson of Vine Grove; four sisters, Leota Warner of Bloomington, Ill., Thelma Wilson of Louisville, and Juanita Rice and Ruth Scott, both of Middletown; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.
Visitation will be noon-2 p.m. Wednesday.

LIBERTY -- James Clyde Foster, 90, of Watson Chapel Road, died Thursday at home.
Born Dec. 28, 1910, in Casey County, he was a son of the late Clayton H. and Minnie Wesley Foster. He was a farmer and attended Watson Chapel Christian Church and Valley Oak Baptist Church.
He was the widower of Stacy Watson Foster.
Survivors include a daughter, Wilma Wesley of Liberty, a son, Dale Foster of Bethelridge; a brother, Paul Foster of Bethelridge; a sister, Mertice Vaught of Eubank; four grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Troy Merrick. Burial will be in Watson Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kenney Roy Wesley, Fred Shelton, J.C. Foster, Kevin Alexander, Chris Watson and Roger Hatter.

STANFORD -- Services for Ralph G. Padgett, 78, of Waynesburg, were held Saturday at Pleasant Point Baptist Church by the Revs. Dan Gutenson and Cecil Roundtree. Burial with military rites was in the church cemetery.
He died Thursday at Stanford House Nursing Home. He was a former bus driver and a member of Caswell Saufley Post 18 of the American Legion.
Survivors include a son, Craig Padgett of Waynesburg; two daughters, Elaine Brockman of Lancaster and Lynn McFalls of Waynesburg; two sisters, Beatrice Meek of Louisville and Ruby Privett of Waynesburg; seven grandchildren; four step grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Goodin, Barry Leach, Don Leach, Wayne Alford, Kenny Bruner and William Moore.

Alan Lewis Eddy
Alan Lewis Eddy, 50, of Pontiac Avenue died Sunday at his home.
Born Sept. 6, 1950, in Columbus, Ohio, he was a son of the late John P. and Leona M. Siders Eddy. He was a retired sales consultant for Lowe's and a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of Northeast Church of Christ in Ohio and a former employee of Conrail Railway Co. where he was a brakeman.
Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Hoover Eddy; a son, Daine M. Eddy of Danville; three daughters, Anna A. Eddy and Allyn R. Eddy, both of Danville, and Misty R. McLeod of Wickliffe, Ohio; two sisters, Linda Lenihan of Lewis Center, Ohio, and Cherie Hobbs of St. Claire, Mich.; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Stith Funeral Home.

WAYNESBURG -- Fannie Combs, 77, of Jacobs Loop Road died Saturday at Stanford House nursing home.
Born Jan. 20, 1924, in Knott County, she was a daughter of the late John E. and Loretta Ashley Kelly. She retired after 24 years as an employee of Palm Beach in Danville and was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Paul Combs of Columbus, Ohio; four daughters, Mary Ann Barnett of Campton, Lura M. Combs of Stanford, Loretta Brock of Pikeville and Ruth Reinhardt of Carmel, Ind.; two sisters, Mae Knox of Stanton and Sue Burton of Deland, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home by the Revs. Brad King and Johnny Adamson. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Paul and Darik Barnett, Andy and Ben Brock, Brad Reinhardt and Shawn Sizemore. Honorary pallbearers are deacons of Double Springs Baptist Church and Ray Price.

Born Sept. 10, 1926, in Jessamine County, she was a daughter of the late James W. and Frances Earl Bruner. She was a homemaker and a member of Bryantsville Missionary Baptist Church. She was the widow of Virgil H. Ray.
