LANCASTER -- Christine Sebastian Long, 93, of Long Branch Road died Wednesday at Darby Square in Lexington.
Born Sept. 12, 1907, in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Leslie and Josephine Anderson Sebastian. She was a homemaker and a member of Lancaster Baptist Church. She was the widow of Johnny Long.
Survivors include a daughter, John Ann Long Owens of Garrard County; a sister, Virginia Chance of Perryville; and a grandson.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Revs. Wayne Howard and Barry Jeffries. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bill Chance, Charles, H.D. and Curt Sebastian, Charles Rose and Steve Lane.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today.

Avery Meeks
LIBERTY -- Avery Meeks, 72, of St. Bernard, Ohio, died Tuesday at home.
Born Set. 26, 1928, in Dunnville, he was a son of the late Charlie and Eva Walters Meeks. He was retired after 26 years with Emery Co. and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine Wilkerson Meeks; a son, Larry Meeks of Mason, Ohio; a daughter, Regina Meeks of St. Bernard; a brother, Hollis Meeks of St. Bernard; a sister, Shirley Ballingher of Redding, Ohio; and three grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Donovan Smith and Everett Delk. Burial will be in Oak Grove Church Cemetery.
Visitation is after 6 p.m. Friday.

LANCASTER -- Lillie Satterly, 77, of Danville Road died Wednesday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.
Born Oct. 26, 1923, in Boyle County, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Celo Phillips Smith. She was a retired homemaker and a charter member of Willow Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph Satterly; a son, Clyde Satterly of Campbellsville; two daughters, Betty Pass and Sadie Cain, both of Lancaster; three brothers, Bradley Smith of Lancaster, Glave Smith and Ralph Smith, both of Danville; four sisters, Francis Barnes and Laura Hurst, both of Harrodsburg, and Nancy Barger and Patricia Byrd, both of Burgin; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and four step great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Spurlin Funeral Home by Johnny Thompson. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.

Fanlee B. Reed
STANFORD -- Services for Fanlee Ball Reed, 62, of Hubble Road will be 11 a.m. Friday at Fox Funeral Home by the Revs. Tinsley T. Ball Jr. and Jerry Beck. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
She died Tuesday at Fort Logan Hospital.

Thomas E. Lane
HARRODSBURG -- Services for Thomas Elmer Lane, 86, of Providence Road will be 11 a.m. Friday at Ebenezer Church of Christ in Salvisa by John Kesel and Richard Easterling. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery.
He died Tuesday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born June 26, 1915, in Mercer County, he was a son of the late William H. and Sue Hurst Lane. He was a magistrate on Mercer Fiscal Court for 29 years and a retired farmer. He was a member of Ebenezer Church of Christ and a World War II Army veteran having earned three bronze stars, American Defense Service Medal and a Purple Heart for service in France.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Shirley Lane; four sons, W. Larry Lane, Bentley S. Lane and John David Lane, all of Mercer County, and James C. Lane of Cleveland, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas E. Lane Jr., and a daughter, Laura S. Lane.
Pallbearers will be Bentley Lane, Clayton Lane, Jonathan Lane, Ryan Lane, Robert Wallace, Joe Warner, Joseph Lane and Timothy Lane. Honorary pallbearers are members of Ebenezer and Hopewell Sunday School class.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. today and prior to the service on Friday.

Lenzie Poynter
PERRYVILLE -- Services for Lenzie Poynter, 70, of Mitchellsburg will be 11 a.m. Friday at Wilder Funeral Home by Larry Moore. Burial will be in Chambers Cemetery in Boyle County.
He died Tuesday at his home.
Born April 14, 1931, in Pulaski County, she was a son of the late Albert L. Poynter and Betty Denny Huff. He was a retired employee of George O. Tucker Construction Co. and Tim McCoy Construction Co. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church. He was active with the Boyle County Fire Department having served as captain of Engine 5 in Mitchellsburg.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Webb Poynter; three daughters, Debbie Padgett of Gravel Switch, Sandy Grubbs of Junction City and Donnita Satterly of Danville; a son, Dewayne Hardin of Mackville; two sisters, Jewell Hutchinson of Nicholasville and Clara Mae Keller of Indiana; two brothers, Wilmer Poynter of Somerset and Johnny Poynter of California; two half sisters, Mary Philpot and Jenny Tillett, both of Shephersdville; a half brother, Lee Huff of Shephersdville; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Henry Lutes, Tim McCoy, David Crain, Dean Holt, Randy Belcher and Tim Webb.

She died Wednesday at Stanford House nursing home.
Born Feb. 13, 1925, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Sue Logan Smith West. She was a homemaker and a member of Stanford Church of the Nazarene. She was the widow of Loyd Tucker.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy J. Greer and Loretta S. Muse, both of Stanford; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Gertrude Dunne, 83, of Lebanon Road died Thursday at Central Baptist Hospital.
Born July 10, 1918, in Cleveland, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Ben and Mae Austin. She was retired and a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church in Harrodsburg and the Danville Lions Club.
Survivors include her husband, Chester Dunne; two sons, Cliff Dunne of Danville and Terry Dunne of Harrodsburg; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Services will be conducted at Holy Name Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Cayahoga Heights, Ohio.

Born Dec. 24, 1921, in Casey County, he was a son of the late Silas and Mary Roten Davis. He was a retired farmer and a member of Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church in Taylor County.
