SPRINGFIELD -- Betty Bugg Graves, 92, of Perryville died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born April 30, 1909, in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Emma Lawson Bugg. She was a member of Perryville United Methodist Church and the widow of Emmett Graves.
She was preceded in death by a son, Charles T. Graves. Survivors are nieces and nephews, including Ina Staten of Perryville.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Carey & Son Funeral Home by the Rev. Gerald Gaddis. Burial will be in Peter Cemetery, Mackville.
Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. today.

Anna L. Maybrier
STANFORD -- Services for Anna Louise Maybrier, 69, of Waynesburg will be 2 p.m. Friday at Fox Funeral Home by the Rev. Gary King. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
She died Tuesday at Fort Logan Hospital.
Born March 28, 1933, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late William O. and Anna Hale Rice. She was retired after 40 years with Corning Glass/Phillips Lighting in Danville and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. She was the widow of Noble F. "Pete" Maybrier.
Survivors include a daughter, Vicki Perkins of Waynesburg; a sister, Ruth Ballard of Stanford; and two grandsons.
Pallbearers will be Joey, Rodney and Scott Rice, Ronny and Tom Mullins, and Dwayne Green.
Honorary pallbearers are Shay and Chris Mullins, Danny Reed, Joe Dan and John Reed, Charlie Rice and Jonathan Green.
Visitation is 6:30-9 p.m. today.

Jack Portwood
STANFORD -- Jack Portwood, 64, of Dix River Estates, a former Lincoln County High School principal and assistant superintendent, died today at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.
"He was a great school person. What sticks in my mind is his wealth of knowledge and his willingness to share it with others," said current Superintendent Danny Godbey.
Portwood was one of three principals who opened Lincoln County High School in 1974.
"Jack was assistant superintendent which I started teaching. He was my mentor when I became principal. ... He was personable and always willing to show someone the ropes," said Godbey.
When he or others had a problem, Godbey said, Portwood was always willing to listen and offer advice. "He made us realize that others had dealt with the same problems."
Even after retirement, Portwood was willing to offer his counsel. When superintendent Bruce Johnson resigned to go to Mercer County, Portwood was called back to serve as interim superintendent before Godbey was hired.
Portwood was serving as principal of Stanford Elementary School when he became principal at the high school.
He was the husband of Donna Reynolds Portwood.

Majorie Ann Lunsford Bunch
CRAB ORCHARD -- Marjorie Ann Lunsford Bunch, 72, of Lancaster Street died Thursday at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Born Nov. 13, 1928, in Indiana, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Jewell M. Price Lunsford.
Bunch served on the Crab Orchard City Commission before going on to serve two terms as mayor. Although she did not remain active in politics after leaving the mayor's office, her interest in the welfare of the city never waned.
"She was a wonderful person and a concerned mayor," said Shirley Harris, former Crab Orchard city clerk. "She cared a great deal about this town during and after her years as mayor."
She was a former employee of Palm Beach Co. in Danville, a member of Crab Orchard Baptist Church, and the widow of Elmer Bunch Jr.
Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Underwood of Lancaster and Connie Kidwell of Crab Orchard; a son, Joe Bunch of Crab Orchard; a brother, Melvin Lunsford of Crab Orchard; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at McKnight-Martin Funeral Home by Cecil Roundtree. Burial will be in Crab Orchard Cemetery.
Visitation is after 6 p.m. Saturday.

Rexford M. and Darrell A. Reece
WAYNESBURG -- Services for Rexford M. Reece, 65, and Darrell A. Reece, 59, both of Eubank, will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Eubank Baptist Church by Shelby Reynolds, Sammie Adkins and Gerald Sims. Burial will be in Eubank Cemetery with military rites by Caswell Saufley Post 18 of the American Legion.
The brothers died Wednesday. Natives of Pulaski County, they were the sons of Iva Williams Reece of Eubank and the late John M. Reece.
Rexford was born Feb. 18, 1936. He was a member of Eubank Baptist Church. He was a Navy veterans, a Kentucky Colonel, and a member of NRA, Disabled American Veterans-Kentucky Chapter 162 and North American Hunting and Fishing Club.
In addition to their mother, Rexford's survivors include a son, Aaron M. Reece of Somerset; two daughters, Pam Reece of Dover, Tenn.; and Myra Reece of Somerset; two stepsons, Steven and Morris Daulton Jr., both of Somerset; two brothers, Landis Reece of Somerset and Harold Reece of Orland Park, Ill.; three sisters, Linda Reece of Eubank, Delores Wesley of Louisville and Jo Ann Hargis of Eubank; and a step granddaughter.
Memorials for Rexford may go to Gideons International or Polly Ann Baptist Church building fund.
Darrell was born Aug. 18, 1941. He was owner and operator of Reece's Service Station and Reece's LP Gas, both in Eubank. He also was a member of Eubank Baptist Church where he sang with the church choir.
Darrell's survivors include his wife, Geraldine Hughes Reece; a daughter, Jennifer Reece Hyden of Eubank; their brothers and sisters; and three grandchildren.
Memorials for Darrell may go to Gideons International or Eubank Baptist Church building fund.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Born March 11, 1930, in Indiana, he was a son of the late John L. and Ethel Anderson Banks. He was a retired Ohio Taxi driver, a Navy and Air Force veteran, and a member of American Legion Post 52.

Survivors include three daughters, Penny Logan, Midge Ison and Beatrice Perkins, all of Lancaster; four sons, Paul VanDyke, Curt Ison and Butch Ison, all of Lancaster, and Melvin Ison of Harrodsburg; a brother, Anderson Ison of Lancaster; 24 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Cedric Leavell, Brunell West, Simon Norris, Cecil Dunn, James Warren and Taylor Leavell.
Honorary pallbearers are William Hocker, Willie Mitchell, John Penman, Michael Logan and James Buford.
