LIBERTY -- Services for David J. Miller, 53, of Ky. 1547 will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bartle Funeral Home by the Revs. John Routh and Dwight Coffman.
Burial will be in Peavey Cemetery.
He died Sunday at his home.
Born May 16, 1949, in Casey County, he was the son of the late Dave C. and Hazel Hughes Miller.
He was a truck driver for D&T; Transport in Westmorland, Tenn., a member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church, and an Army veteran of the Vietnam era.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Marple Miller; a daughter, Melanie King of Liberty; four sisters, June Choate of Indianapolis, Betty Derringer and Margaret Caudill, both of Liberty, and Kay Kendall of Tompkinsville; three brothers, Tommy Miller of Sterling, Ill., Mike Miller of Junction City, and Terry Miller of Yosemite; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, David A. Miller.
Pallbearers will be Marion, George and Michael Choate and Ryan, Josh and Bryan Miller.
Honorary pallbearers are Dennis and Shelby Miller.
Visitation is after 6 p.m. today.

Michael Robinson
LANCASTER -- Services for Michael Robinson, 57, of Paint Lick will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Rev. Samuel Sowders.
Burial will be in Manse Cemetery.
He died Monday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center, Lexington.
Born May 25, 1945, in Garrard County, he was the son of Travis and Catherine Bullock Robinson of Paint Lick.
He was a farmer and a member of Mount Tabor Baptist Church.
Other survivors include a son, Russell T. Robinson of Paint Lick; a sister, Charlotte Baker of Riverside, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tom and John Robinson, Mark Kitchen, Donald Lear, Ronnie Rhodus and Joby Watkins.

WAYNESBURG -- Jamie Nicole Adams, 16, of Elm Street, Crab Orchard, died Wednesday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center, Lexington.

Garland E. Carpenter
STANFORD -- Garland Edward Carpenter, 63, of Ky. 698, McKinney, died Wednesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Aug., 3, 1938, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Edward O. and Virginia Moore Carpenter. He was a retired employee of American Greetings Co. where he worked for 30 years. He was a member and deacon at Green River Pentecostal Church and also served as church custodian for 23 years.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Moore Carpenter; three daughters, Debra Todd, Kimberly Turner and Jessica Payton, all of Hustonville; two brothers, Lester Carpenter of London and Hershell Carpenter of Hustonville; four sisters, Mary Jo Brown and Linda Lewis, both of Hustonville; Wanda Lawson of Cold Springs and Kay Hogue of London; and three grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Green River Pentecostal Church by Rick Naylor. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Eugene McGirr
FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. -- Eugene "Gene" McGirr, 75, of Navarre, Fla., died Tuesday at home.
Born April 2, 1927, in Stanford, he was the son of the late James and Pearl McGirr.
Survivors include his wife, Erna G. McGirr; two daughters, Denice Walls and Angela McGirr; two sons, Curtis and Maurice McGirr; three sisters, Blanch Gaddis, Lila Whitson, and Agathe McGirr; a brother, Morris McGirr; a grandson; and a great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Michael and Dale McGirr.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.

LOUISVILLE -- Nancy B. Weber, 83, of Louisville, formerly of Danville, died Wednesday at Parkway Medical Center.
She was the daughter of the late James H. and Janie Wood Fox Bean. She was a homemaker and a member of Big Spring Country Club, Pendennis Club, Louisville Women's Club and Highland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband, James Weber; three sons, Doug, Bob and Rick Weber; a daughter, Anne Bironas; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews in Danville. She was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Weber III.
Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday at Cave Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Grant Tackett; a son, Joe Tackett of Stanford; two daughters, Kathy Owens of Waynesburg and Shirley Hamilton of Lancaster; two brothers, Larry Newsome of Vermilion, Ohio, and Rex Newsome of Amherst, Ohio; four sisters, Geneva Newsome of Wakeman, Ohio, Roberta Walbon of Lorain, Ohio, Willa Jean Tackett of Teaberry, and Clara S. Hall of Grethel; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two sons, David and Tommy Tackett; and a daughter, Brenda L. Tackett.
