William O. Butt
CRAB ORCHARD -- William O. "Bill" Butt, 78, of Crab Orchard died Saturday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Feb. 23, 1924, in Crab Orchard, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Lucy Lafevers Butt. He was the retired owner of Bill's Water Hauling, a member of Crab Orchard Baptist Church, and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a recipient of the American Theater Service Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the Victory Medal.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine Butt of Crab Orchard; a son, Keith Michael Butt of Crab Orchard; a daughter, Carole Ann Taylor of Crab Orchard; a brother, Tom Butt of Crab Orchard; a half sister, Florence Edwards of Crab Orchard; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at McKnight Funeral Home by Dan Gutenson and Norman Young. Burial will be in Crab Orchard Cemetery.
Visitation is after 6 p.m. today.

Shawn D. Hall
HARRODSBURG -- Shawn Douglas Hall, 20, of Ashley Street died Sunday in Danville.
Born Feb. 25, 1982, in Danville, he was the son of James D. "Doug" Hall of Harrodsburg and Patsy June Downs Coomer of Gravel Switch. He was an employee of Matsushita and attended Southside Christian Church.
Other survivors include his grandparents, James and Barbara Hall of Harrodsburg and Eva Downs of Junction City; a brother, Tanner Hall of Harrodsburg; and two sisters, Taylor Hall of Harrodsburg and Jessica Coomer of Gravel Switch.
Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by the Rev. James Harley and Rick Snyder. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Patsy Coomer, Brad Coomer, Shawn Williams, John Massey, Thomas Massey and Dudley Brummett.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today and after 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

J.H. Bugg
Services for J.H. "Achie" Bugg, 82, of Hustonville Road will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by Stuart Powell and M.L. Holmes. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post 46.
He died Saturday at Charleston Health Care Center.
Born May 21, 1920, in Boyle County, he was the son of the late James H. and Hattie J. Pelley Bugg. He was a retired self-employed truck driver, a former Penn Ventilation employee, and a former manager of the Danville-Boyle County Airport. He was a member of Salt River Baptist Church and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Evelyn Landers Bugg; two daughters, Peggy Webb of Clarksville, Tenn., and Jane Noland of Danville; a brother, Martin "Snook" Bugg of Danville; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Webb, Jeremy Noland, Nicholas Noland, Larry Bugg, Steven Landers and Gary Brown.
Honorary pallbearers are Edwin Waits and Homer Kurtz.

Maymie G. Cornett
WAYNESBURG -- Services for Maymie Godbey Cornett, 79, of Kings Mountain will be noon Tuesday at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home by the Rev. Bill Rhodus. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery.
She died Friday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital.
Born April 16, 1923, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Mitchell and Ethel Brittney Godbey. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Hebron Baptist Church. She was the widow of Glen Cornett.
Survivors include four sons, Charles, Earl, Glenwood and Jerry Cornett, all of Kings Mountain; six daughters, Alice Faye Foley of Waynesburg, Geneva Lanigan of Brooksville, Fla., Linda Coleman of Kings Mountain, Brenda Coleman of Stanford, Mary Ann Coleman of Waynesburg and Helen Ryan of Stanford; a brother, Jesse Godbey of Waynesburg; three sisters, Opal Groenenburg, Agnes Kidd and Flossie Jean Smith, all of Waynesburg; 27 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Eulan Cornett; and a daughter, Anna Lee Cornett.

STANFORD --Services for Earl D. Hutchison, 77, of Ky. 1247, Highland, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Highland United Methodist Church by the Revs. Dennis Spencer and Norman Young. Burial will be in Highland United Methodist Church Cemetery with military rites by Caswell Saufley Post 18 of the American Legion.
He died Saturday at his home.

LaVern E. Wilcher
MORELAND -- LeVern E. Wilcher, 64, formerly of Hustonville, died Tuesday at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Born May 28, 1938, in Casey County, he was the son of Betty Lay Morris of Liberty and the late Elzie Wilcher. He was retired from the Lincoln County school system and was a former Hustonville police officer. He was a member of the Lions Club, Hustonville Ruritan Club, and First Church of God in Hustonville. He was an Army veteran.
Other survivors include his wife, Mildred Van Pelt Wilcher; a daughter, Pamela W. Byers of Crab Orchard; two sisters, Linda Smith of Liberty and Delitha Ellis of Hustonville; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Paula W. Muse.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Don Burton. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chris and Dwight Wilcher, Justin Muse, Kenneth Lay, Scott and Mike Smith and Cedric Byers.

Michael Lane Hamblin, 51, of Ann Arbor, Mich., died April 24.
Born Jan. 28, 1951, in Pineville, he was the son of Charles and Josephine Parks Hamblin of Danville. He was a theater prop man, a1969 graduate of Danville High School, and attended University of Kentucky, Memphis State and University of Michigan.
Other survivors include his wife, Donna Peck Hamblin; a brother, Steve Hamblin of Danville; and a sister, Elaine Harris of Moreland.

HARRODSBURG -- Christine Proctor, 81, of Burgin died Tuesday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 13, 1920, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Atwood and Hattie Smith Proctor. She was a retired teacher, having taught in Burgin for 46 years, and a member of Burgin Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Ruby Proctor and Annie Lou Herrell, both of Burgin.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by the Revs. Mike Handy, Proctor Riggins and Bob DeFoor. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

LIBERTY -- Rosemary Allen, 70, of Scotts Chapel Road died Monday at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
Born Feb. 13 1932, in Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Cora Whited Boyd. She was a homemaker and attended Grace Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Arlis Allen; three daughters, Barbara Dawson of Liberty and Linda Alsip and Brenda Newton, both of Cincinnati; a son, Gregory Allen of Atlanta; a sister, Norma Barnes of Ohio; five brothers, Tony, James and Leon Boyd, all of Ohio, Bobby Boyd of Indiana, and Bill Boyd of North Carolina; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Dwight Coffman and Rudy Allen. Burial will be in Whited Cemetery.

Born July 11, 1950, in Mercer County, he was the son of Mary Frances Jackson Crossfield of Mercer County and the late Charles Crossfield. He was retired from the Harrodsburg Fire Department and was owner of Fantasy Sound Productions. He was a member of Ebenezer Church of Christ and Mercer County Chamber of Commerce.
Other survivors include his wife, Lela Hope Isham Crossfield of Mercer County; two sons, Christopher S. Crossfield of Louisville and Charles T. Crossfield of North Carolina; a daughter, Lori N. Baker of Mercer County; two sisters, Linda R. Murray and Cathy T. Sexton, both of Mercer County; and five grandchildren.
