Services for Clara Elsabe Koerner Klipfel, 82, of Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation will be 2 p.m. Friday at Stith Funeral Home by the Rev. Dale Denton.
She died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Feb. 11, 1920, in Detroit, Mich., she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Clara Retzlaff Koerner. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra K. Dewitt of Danville; and a son, Gary T. Klipfel of St. Louis, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold A. Klipfel.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today.

STANFORD -- Services for Jerry Deem Hines, 62, of Lancaster Street, Crab Orchard, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Fox Funeral Home by the Rev. Ernest L. Martin. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery with military rites by Caswell-Saufley Post 18, American Legion.
He died Monday at Fort Logan Hospital.
Born Jan. 31, 1940, in Marion, Ind., he was the son of the late James and Ruth Deem Hines. He was a warehouse manager for BPI in Stanford and attended Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Ashley Dale Deem of Indianapolis, Ind.; two daughters, Tina Hines of Crab Orchard and Chastity Leigh Cash of Indianapolis; and two brothers, James and Mike Hines, both of New Castle, Ind.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today.

PERRYVILLE -- Graveside services for Frances Cox VanArsdale, 85, of Hardee Street will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, by the Revs. Guy McCombs and Greg Warren.
She died Monday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Oct. 21, 1917, in Boyle County, she was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Hope Robertson Cox. She was the widow of Edwin L. VanArsdale. She was a homemaker and a member of Perryville Christian Church.
Survivors include a brother, Robert L. Cox of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday at Wilder Funeral Home.

Sue W. Williams
Sue W. Williams, 93, of Lexington, formerly of Danville, died Monday at Hospice Care Center.
Born Dec. 4, 1909, in Boyle County, she was the daughter of the late Elihue and Minnie Frances Shackelford Wayne. She was a member of Lafayette Christian Church in Lexington and former member of First Christian Church in Danville.
She was a member for more than 50 years of the Christian Womens Fellowship, a member of Danville Homemakers Club, a former saleswoman with Hub-Frankel and a bookkeeper with O.S. Williams Co.
Survivors include a son, Oliver S. Williams of Louisville; a sister, Alma Wayne Long of Danville; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, George Williams.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at W.R. Milward Mortuary-Southland in Lexington by Rev. Todd Layne. Burial will be in Burgin Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 11:30 a.m. Saturday until time of service.

James F. Stamper
WAYNESBURG -- James Freeman Stamper, 64, died Monday at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, Ind.
Born Nov. 21, 1938, in Waynesburg, he was the son of Madge L. Bitner Stamper and the late Eugene G Stamper. He was a self-employed tool and dye maker for 40 years and former apprentice for Western Electric.
Survivors include his mother, Madge L. Bitner Stamper of Indianapolis, Ind.; a son, James E. Stamper of Dumfries, Va.; a daughter, Julia A. Stamper of Hertford, N.C.; a brother, Richard E. Stamper of Terre Haute, Ind.; a sister, Donna Kay Smith of Indianapolis, Ind.; and five grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Double Springs Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.

AVA, Ill. -- William Perry "Bill" Vancil, 62, died Sunday at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro, Ill.
Born April 20, 1940, in Ava, Ill., he was the son of the late Murray A. and Kathryn Virginia Wilson Vancil. He was a Navy veteran and retired truck driver for Leggett-Platt in Nicholasville.
Survivors include his wife, Charlene Vancil of Ava; four sons, Richard and Eric Vancil, both of Springfield, Mo., Adam Vancil of Anaheim, Calif., and Larry Ledford of East Peoria, Ill.; two daughters, Michelle Vancil of Austin, Texas, and Genny Vancil of Cutler, Ill.; a sister, Ruth Weavers of Greenville, Ill.; four brothers, Glen and Jack Vancil, both of Ava, Dan Vancil of Marietta, Ga., and Robert Vancil of Gilbert, Ariz.; and four grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. today by the Rev. Keith Tingle at Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava.

Services for William Dobies Jr., 61, of Fox Run Trail were today at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church by the Rev. Lynh Nguyen. Burial was in Danville Memorial Gardens.
He died Sunday at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Born Nov. 1, 1941, in Wilmington, Dela., he was the son of Helen Davis Dobies of Wilmington and the late William Dobies Sr.
He was a retail grocery store director for Red Apple Grocers in New York. He was a graduate of Brown Vocational High School in Wilmington and member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Clementine Dobies; two daughters, Andrea M. Galloway of Hustonville and Donna M. Dobies of Fairbanks, Alaska; six brothers, John, James, David, Anthony, Michael and Richard Dobies, all of Wilmington; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Scott Galloway, Billy Rose, John, Jimmy and Anthony Dobies, and Tony Bandira.

William "Bill" F. Stearman
Services for William "Bill" F. Stearman, 79, of Lisa Avenue will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Indian Hills Christian Church by the Rev. Otis Clark.
He died Sunday at Thompson-Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore.
Born May 18, 1923, in Greensburg, he was the son of the late Foster Ray and Myrtle Marcum Stearman. He was a grocer and antique dealer. He was a charter member and elder emeritus at Indian Hills Christian Church. He also was chairman of the church board and mission committee, a Sunday school teacher and charter member of Men for Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Douglas Stearman; two daughters, Cheryl J. Stearman and Beverly K. Wolfe, both of Danville; a son, William Douglas Stearman of Lebanon, Tenn.; four brothers, David and Eudell Stearman, both of Hodgensville, Lee Stearman of Elizabethtown and James Stearman of Greensburg; a sister, Rachel Conrad of Butler; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ben and Jeremy Wolfe, Kevin Stearman David Hoskins, and Bill and Melvyn Douglas.
Honorary pallbearers will be elders and deacons of Indian Hills Christian Church, Hollis Perry and Garland Vest.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Thursday at the church.
