John W. Hudson
John W. Hudson, 87, of Jefferson City, Tenn., died Tuesday.
Born Dec. 31, 1914, he was a retired farmer, and a teacher, coach and principal. He also was a crop hail adjuster for 54 years, past president of Jefferson City Lions Club and District Governor of Lions Club International. He was an elder and member of First Presbyterian Church in Jefferson City and the widower of Marjorie Cates Hudson.
Survivors include a son, John W. Hudson Jr. of Danville; five daughters, Jane E. Hudson, Libby Gardner, Mala Skeen and Marjorie Helton, all of Jefferson City, and Julia A. Warren of Centerville, Va.; a brother, Floyd N. Hudson; three sisters, Dorothy Walker, Jenny Quarles and Betty Jo Kinnick; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Services will be 8 p.m. Friday at Farrar Funeral Home, Jefferson City. Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Westview Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday.
Memorials may go to First Presbyterian Church, Jefferson City.

LIBERTY -- Edith Jane Money, 87, of Corbin, formerly of Liberty, died Tuesday at Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin.
Born Aug. 11, 1915, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late B. Roy and Nancy Belton Marples. She was a homemaker, a member of Gum Lick Christian Church and a Kentucky Colonel.
Survivors include her husband, Churchel Money; two sons, Welby Gene Farris and Joseph Money, both of Corbin; two daughters, Georgie Black of Florida, and Barbara McCormick of Corbin; a sister, Hester Allen of Liberty; a brother, Kermit Marples of Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Gum Lick Christian Church by Jim Knifley. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. Friday at the church.

Audrey Hargis
Services Audrey Bryane Leigh Hargis, 74, formerly of Gose Pike, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Gethsemane Baptist Church by the Rev. Clyde Strunk. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
She died Wednesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Feb. 4, 1928, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Ruth Green Leigh. She was a house parent at Kentucky School for the Deaf and the widow of Edward L. Hargis. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church, a former waitress at Freeland Pharmacy and had worked at Fram Industries.
Survivors include four daughters, Barbara Hargis Satterly of Danville, Margaret Ann Daugherty of Junction City, Juditha Hargis Mehok of Hiram Ga., and Bonnie Sue Miracle of Lexington; two sons, James L. "Bo" Hargis of Lincoln County and Michael A. Hargis of Junction City; a sister, Rose Ellen Haeuser of Norfolk Va.; 24 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Hargis Case.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Ben and Jeremiah Satterly, Samuel Mehok, Eddie and Miles Daugherty, Michael and James Hargis Jr. and Lee Burton.
Honorary pallbearers are grandsons, Trace Daugherty, Scott, Steve and John B. Burton.

STANFORD -- Services for Ray Hargis, 80, of Stanford will be 11 a.m. Friday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Rev. Dale Denton. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery with military rites by Caswell Saufley Post 18 of the American Legion.
He died Wednesday at his home.
Born Jan. 28, 1922, in Pulaski County, he was the son of the late William C. and Lina Ellen Barnes Hargis. He was a retired carpenter and a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church. He was a former member and deacon of Drakes Creek Baptist Church. He also was an Army veteran of World War II having served in the Pacific theater.
Survivors include his wife, Vera Hargis; three daughters, Brenda R. Scogham of Louisville, Wanda K. Elkins of Stanford and Regina S. Hooper of Berea; a sister, Bertie Hargis of Ohio; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Weaver, Steve Patterson, Robert Elkins and Ed Hardin.

Wallace Roy
LIBERTY -- Services for Wallace Reid Roy, 77, of Liberty will be 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church by the Revs. Jerry Browning, Larry Davis and Jimmy Brown. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
He died Tuesday at Central Baptist Hospital.
Born Sept. 1, 1925, in Pulaski County, he was the son of the late Samuel C. and Polly Schoolcraft Roy. He was a state highway department engineer, retired after 37 years. He was a Marine veteran of World War II, a member and deacon of First Baptist Church and minister of music for 20 years.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Durrett Roy; a daughter, Teresa L. Bourne of Lancaster; a son, Dennis Roy of Anchorage, Alaska; a sister, Anna Porter Richardson of Liberty.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Richardson, Merle Hogue, Keith Bourne, Tony York, David Adams and Garland Sharp.
Honorary pallbearers are Billy and Eugene Weddle, George Reed, J.O. Wilkinson, Janet Worley, Curtis Wilson and Garland Rigney.

LANCASTER -- Hazel Della Turner, 91, of Cowden Court died Tuesday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital.
Born April 9, 1911, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Hattie Morris Cornelius. She was retired after 34 years with Palm Beach Co., and a member of Lancaster Baptist Church. She was the widow of J.C. Turner.
Survivors include a son, Burl Cornelius of Lancaster; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Rev. Barry Jeffries. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be great-grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers are members of Lancaster Volunteer Fire Department.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Friday.

W. Herford Nikirk
Willard Herford Nikirk, 88, of South Third Street died Tuesday at Veterans Administration Hospital in Lexington.
Born Jan. 20, 1914, in Boyle County, he was the son of the late Ed and Clara Wilson Nikirk.
He was a member of the Christian Church.
He was an Army veteran and the recipient of a Purple Heart. He had been a prisoner of war in Germany and Italy.
Survivors are nieces, including Ann Preston of Danville; and nephews, Thurman Preston and Bruce Paynter, both of Danville; and a sister-in-law, Amelia Nikirk of Danville.
Services will be noon Thursday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by Gary Story.
Burial will be private in Bellevue Cemetery.
Visitation is 10 a.m. to noon Thursday.
