James M. Rowland
James Michael "Earl" Rowland, 21, of High Street died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born July 15, 1981, in Danville, he was the son of Vicki Rowland of Danville and Dennis Lister of Burgin.
He was an employee of CDR Co. in Harrodsburg.
Survivors include his stepmother, Angie Lister of Burgin; a daughter, Haley Rowland of Danville; a son, Devon Michael Rowland of Danville; two brothers, Jeremy Rowland and Adam Lister, both of Burgin; a sister, Renita Rowland of Danville; and a grandmother, Liz Rowland of Danville.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Revs. Buddy Turpin and John Rowland. Burial will be in Parksville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Rowland Jr., Brad Baker, Chris Johnson, Michael Yates, Bobby Carpenter, Jeff Baker, Chad Whitis and Ricky Baker.
Honorary pallbearers are Adam Lister and Jeremy Rowland.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Tuesday.

Carl L. McAninch
LIBERTY -- Carl Leland McAninch, 65, of Liberty died Sunday at Liberty Care Center.
Born March 7, 1937, in Argyle, he was the son of Nellie Morgan McAninch of Liberty and the late Ed McAninch. He was a truck driver and the widower of Eula Rayburn McAninch.
Other survivors include three sons, Carl McAninch and Timothy McAninch, both of Liberty, and Leland E. McAninch of Vine Grove; two daughters, Debbie Murphy of Eatonton, Ga., and Laura M. McAninch of North Vernon, Ind.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were today at Casey County Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Dennis Morgan.

LANCASTER -- Mary Frances Noel, 80, of Cincinnati, formerly of Lancaster, died Saturday at Jewish Hospital, Cincinnati.
Born July 4, 1922, in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Auther and Millie Brown Noel. She was a retired homemaker and a member of Lancaster United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a brother, Henry N. Noel of Eunice, N.M.; and a sister, Louise Baldonia of Denver, Colo.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Rev. Walter Arnold. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Geneva Pollard
LANCASTER -- Geneva Pollard, 74, of Hill-N-Dale died Saturday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital.
Born Sept. 30, 1928, in Garrard County, she was the daughter of the late Adron and Evelyn Wilson Saylor. She was a homemaker, a member of Lancaster Church of the Nazarene and the widow of Robert D. Pollard.
Survivors include a son, Robert H. Pollard of Lancaster; four sisters, Louise Barrett, Jo Ann Miller and Stella Thomas, all of Lancaster, and Opal Bourne of Danville; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Spurlin Funeral Home by Jim Cook. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
Visitation is 5:30-9 p.m. today.

CRAB ORCHARD -- Gladys Mae Johnson York, 75, of Crab Orchard died Saturday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.
Born March 1, 1927, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Luther M. and Allie Mae Siler Johnson. She was a homemaker, a member of Pine Grove Church of Christ and the widow of Ernest W. York.
Survivors include her companion, Jack Saylor of Crab Orchard; two sons, David G. York of Preachersville and Marris E. York of Burkesville; five daughters, Helen M. Hart of Avon, Ind., Linda L. Brown of Carmel, Ind., Joyce W. Shafer of Brodhead, Earlene Tuggle of Stanford and Lesa M. Adams of Crab Orchard; two brothers, Morris and Raymond Johnson, both of Stanford; three sisters, Margaret Hunt of Rishing Sun, Ind., Fanny Crawford of Stanford and Hazel Wilder of Crab Orchard; 20 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Denny L. York; a grandchild; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pine Grove Church of Christ by Rick Estes and Ron Meece. Burial will be in Pine Grove Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Adam and Matthew York, Scotty Hart, Eddie Brown, Thomas Shafer, David York II, Wayne Hinds and Jacob Manuel. Honorary pallbearers are Justin and Jason Manuel.
Visitation will be after 5:30 p.m. today and 8-11 a.m. Tuesday at McKnight Funeral Home and after 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

Ruby K. Watts
Ruby Katherine Watts, 70, of Frankfort, formerly of Mercer County, died Saturday at her home.
Born March 9, 1932, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Ethel Riley Sanders. She was retired after 38 years as an employee of Fitzgerald Drug Store, Frankfort, and a member of Bellevue Christian Church, Frankfort. She was the widow of Fred J. "Joe" Watts.
Survivors include two sons Fred J. "Buster" Watts and Mark A. Watts, both of Frankfort; a sister, Frances Gaines Lexington; and two granddaughters.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home. Burial will be in Kirkwood Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. toda y and after 7 a.m. Tuesday.

Born July 30, 1952, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of Corene Galloway of Loris, S.C., and the late Jesse Galloway. She was a customer service representative with Winn-Dixie Co. and the widow of Sam Darwish.
Survivors include a son, C.J. Galloway of Payne, Ohio; two daughters, Jessica and Tammy Lick of West Palm Beach; two brothers, Jesse and Jimmy Galloway, both of Loris; and two grandchildren.

Linda M. Elliott
WAYNESBURG -- Services for Linda Marie Elliott, 87, of Danville, formerly of the Mount Olive community in Casey County, were today at Barnett and Demrow Funeral Home by Lonnie Daugherty. Burial was in Salyers Cemetery in Yosemite.
She died Friday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Marvin W. Christerson
HARRODSBURG -- Marvin Wallace Christerson, 91, South College Street, Harrodsburg, died Thursday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 10, 1911, in Washington County, he was the son of the late George H. and Mamie Vest Christerson. He was a retired mail contractor and the widower of Ethelyn Campbell Christerson. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in both Europe and Germany, earning a Purple Heart with two Oak Clusters, the Bronze Star, four Battle Stars and numerous other citations.
He was a member of the V.F.W., American Legion Post #52, the Disabled American Veterans, and served 20 years on the Selective Service Board in Mercer County. He was a Kentucky Colonel and a Harrodsburg City Commissioner from 1951 to 1955. He was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church, where he served as Sunday School teacher and usher. He enjoyed working outside, especially with flowers, and won several ribbons during the Mercer County Fair.
Surviovors include a son, Kenneth E. Christerson of Harrodsburg; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Clona C. Curry.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home by Dr. Robert DeFoor. Burial with military honors will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jackie Springate, Carlos Lester, Orban Mayes, Marvin Claunch, Loyd Bradley and Calvin Wiley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Edwin Elliott, Armond Bottoms, Kenneth Burns, Marvin Robinson and Robert Royalty.
Visitation was 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday and after 7 a.m. today at the funeral home.

WAYNESBURG -- Linda Marie Elliott, 87, of Danville, formerly of the Mount Olive Community in Casey County, died Friday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born June 25, 1915, in Casey County, she was a daughter of the late H.B. and Cora Morgan Elliott. She was the widow of Finley Elliott, a homemaker and attended the Danville Church of God. She was also a member of the Mt. Olive Christian Church.
Survivors include 4 sons, Matt "Junior" Elliott of Mason, Ohio, Leamon Elliott of Yosemite, David Elliott of Danville and Larry Elliott of Lexington; 3 daughters, Doris F. Miller of Danville, Fern Sims of Waynesburg and Viola Smith of Lexington; a sister, Lena Wilson of Hamilton, Ohio; 27 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Kenny Sims and Jeffrey Elliott.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Barnett and Demrow Funeral Home by Bishop Lonnie Daugherty. Burial will be in Salyers Cemetery in Yosemite.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
