PERRYVILLE -- Services for John Garnett Hammons, 65, of Windy Way Lane, Harrodsburg, will be 2 p.m. today at Wilder Funeral Home by the Rev. Daniel Wilson. Burial will be in McDonald Cemetery.
He died Friday at his home.
Survivors include two sisters, Geneva Jenkins of Erlanger and Geraldine Pike of Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers will be John Collins, Randy Adams, Barry Pike and James Lister.

Paul Hopper
Paul Tom Hopper, 80, of Lisa Avenue, died Friday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born March 9, 1922, in Henshaw, he was the son of the late Francis Marion and Katie Hearth Huckeby Hopper. He was a retired engineer with South Central Bell Telephone Company and member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II and member of the 338th Engineer General Service Regiment.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda H. Steele and Lisa H. Burke, both of Danville; a sister, Dora E. Russellburg of Henshaw; a grandchild, two great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Stith Funeral Home by Dr. Tommy Valentine. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Boyle Post #46.
Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may go to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.

Sara Miller
Sara Elizabeth Fuller Miller, 71, of O'Hara Drive, died Saturday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Aug. 27, 1931, in Atlanta, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Dr. Ellis Adams and Elizabeth West Bates Fuller. She was a licensed real-estate broker with Coldwell Banker and VIP Realty and member of the multi-million dollar sales club. She was inducted into Coldwell Banker's Sterling Society. She was a member of The Presbyterian Church, Ephraim McDowell Hospital Auxiliary, The Garden Club of Danville and PEO Sister-hood.She attended Baylor University and graduated from Vanderbilt University, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and president of Pi Beta Phi social sorority.
Survivors include her husband, James M. Miller; a daughter, Elizabeth Fuller Miller of Danville; a sister, Ida L. Waddle of Louisville; and two step-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at The Presbyterian Church by Dr. Thomas K. Farmer. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at the church.
Stith Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may go to the Kidney Foundation, The Presbyterian Church, Heritage Hospice or the Boyle County Emergency Medical Service Auxiliary Fund.

Willa Gilbert
STANFORD -- Willa Lee Banks Gilbert, 67, of Waynesburg, died Thursday at her home.
Born July 30, 1935, in Wolfe County, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Maxine Spencer Banks. She was a retired cafeteria manager for Highland Elementary School and member of Fairview Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Ted Gilbert; four daughters, Carol Cutter of Richmond, Jenny Denham and Kay Hickerson, both of Waynesburg and Beth Hill of Stanford; three sons, Todd Gilbert of Miami, Fla., Michale Gilbert of Roanoke, Va. and Lance Gilbert of Hawaii; a brother, Leonard Banks of Stanford; a sister, Bethel Harmon of Danville; and 12 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Steven Denham and Chris Gilbert.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Rev. Don Hill. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Clinton Sims, Johnny Estes, Keith Deatherage, Harold Cordier, Bobby Camenisch and Lewis Bailey.
Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Davis, Ronnie Cox, Doug Brickey, Tob Long, Wayne Thurman, William Downs and Danny Spangler.

Leon I. Steele Jr.
HARRODSBURG -- Leon Ison Steele Jr., 68, Effie Road, Lexington, formerly of Harrodsburg, died Thursday at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Born Sept. 10, 1934, in Harrodsburg, he was the son of the late Leon Ison Steele Sr. and Georgie Briscoe Steele. He was retired from IBM in Lexington and a member of the Centennial Baptist Church. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force after 21 years of service and was a member of the Silver Cord Lodge #23 in Harrodsburg.
Survivors include his wife, Betty White Steele; a son, John Ison Steele of Lexington; five brothers, Ronald Steele of Delaware, Ohio; Carl Walker of Columbus, Ohio, and Glenn, Gary and Keith Walker, all of Harrodsburg; and two sisters, Rose Bryant of Harrodsburg and Peggy Shannon of Urbana, Ohio.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Centennial Baptist Church by J.D. Short III. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Fred Bottoms, Alvis Johnson, Gene Lawson, Woodrow Meaux, William Shannon and Bobby White.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Silver Cord Lodge #23.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the church, with Masonic rites at 6:30 p.m.

Rosetta Burchfield
STANFORD -- Services for Rosetta Burchfield, 68, of Stanford will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Spurlin Funeral Home by Roger Stevens. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
She died Thursday at St. Joseph Hospital.
Born Feb. 16, 1934, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence "Cash" and Mattie Wardlow. She was a retired employee of Cowden's Manufacturing Co. and the widow of Robert Burchfield.
Survivors include a son, David Burchfield of Crab Orchard; a daughter, Brenda Frederick of Stanford; two brothers, Richard Wardlow and Shug Wardlow of Crab Orchard; a sister, Anna Mae Hopkins of Crab Orchard; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Stevens, Archie Stevens, Mark Yocum, and Mark, Randy and Kevin Hopkins.

LANCASTER -- Services for James E. Long, 67, of Totten Avenue will be 2 p.m. Monday at Ramsey Funeral Home by Rev. Jerry Browning and Steve Horn. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
He died Friday at St. Joseph Hospital.
Born March 6, 1935 in Madison County, he was the son of Q.C. Long and the late Ethel Hensley Long. He was retired from Camp Nelson, Tutt Construction and the Garrad County Road Department and attended Forks of Dix River Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lorraine H. Long of Lancaster; his son, James "Mike" Long of Lancaster; a daughter, Jamie "Lynne" Allen of Lancaster; a step-daughter, Saundra McWhor-ter of Danville; three brothers, Bill Long of Science Hill, Harold "Doc" Long and Marvin Long both of Lancaster; two sisters, Mildred Hale of Lancaster and Faye Bach of Richmond; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be David Baker, Cedar Foley, Allen D. Humes, Robert L. Humes, David Humes and Petie Humes.

MORELAND -- Nell G. Brackett, 94, of Danville died Thursday at Charleston Health Care Center.
Born June 26, 1908, in Moreland, she was the daughter of the late Walter "Watt" and Peachie M. Ferrell Gresham. She was a retired employee of Jackson Chair Co. and a member of Junction City First Baptist Church. She was the widow of Thomas A. Brackett.
Survivors include two sons, Howard L. Brackett of Danville and Robert D. Brackett of Junction City; a daughter, Maxine Hines of Houston, Texas; a brother, Bus Gresham of Danville; three sisters, Christine Grant of Cincinnati, Ohio, Lucille Smith of Lawrenceville, Ind., and Margie Mattingly of St. Mary's, W.V.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Ernest Martin. Burial will be in Moreland Cemetery.

CYNTHIANA -- Anna Margaret Richie Hudgins, 69, of Harrodsburg died Wednesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born April 29, 1933, in Harrison County, she was the daughter of the late Richard L. and Mary Elizabeth Richie. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Edward Catholic Church. She was the widow of James T. Hudgins.
Survivors include a son, David M. Hudgins of Junction City; a daughter, Theresa M. Nowlin of Harrodsburg; a brother, Donald G. Richie of Harrison County; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Hudgins.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Ware Funeral Home by the Rev. Richard Frazier. Burial will be in St. Edward Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
