WAYNESBURG -- Ricky Dee Bussell, 16, of Maple Hill Drive, Somerset, died Friday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.
Born June 10, 1986, in Fayette County, he was the son of Cindy C. Sears of Somerset and Rick Bussell of Science Hill. He was a sophomore at Southwestern High School and played on both the baseball and golf teams. He was a member of the High Street Baptist Church.
Additional survivors include a brother, Samuel Sears of Somerset; two sisters, Kristi Fraley and Ashley Bussell, both of Science Hill; paternal grandparents, Dealva Sr. and Mary Bussell of Brodhead; and maternal grandfather, Freeman Caldwell of Waynesburg.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Oak Hill Baptist Church by the Rev. Dan Brown, Clay Hall and Luke Lykins. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Southwestern High School's baseball team.
Honorary pallbearers will be J.D. and Derrick Bussell, Spencer Childress, Mark and John Gregory, Eric Burton, Adam Gass and John Fraley.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Memorials may go to Southwestern High School Baseball Booster's Club, care of Rodney McAninch.

Mirtie Duvall
STANFORD -- Services for Mirtie Duvall, 99, of Junction City will be will be 2 p.m. Friday at McKinney Baptist Church by the Rev. David Fralix. Burial will be in New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
She died Tuesday in Boyle County.
Born Aug. 26, 1903, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Edward M. and Josephine Goforth Terry. She was a homemaker, a member of McKinney Baptist Church and the widow of Elbert Duvall. Survivors include a son, James C. Watson of Junction City; a stepdaughter, Mildred Martin of Lancaster; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 36 great-great grandchildren; four great-great-great-grandchildren.
She was precede in death by two sons, Edward D. and Edgar C. Watson.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today and 1 p.m. Friday until time of service at the church.

STANFORD -- Services for Ruth Reed Kirkpatrick, 86, of Pleasant Hill, Tenn., formerly of Stanford, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Rev. John Lowry. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Christian Church Cemetery.
She died Tuesday.
Born July 13, 1916, in Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late John and Lona Norris Reed. She was a homemaker, a member of Mount Moriah Christian Church and the widow of Harry Kirkpatrick.
Survivors include two sons, Bill Kirkpatrick of Fairfield Glade, Tenn., and Elwood Kirkpatrick of Allen Park, Mich.; a daughter, Phyllis Fekete of West Bloomfield, Mich.; a brother, Howard Reed of Brighton, Mich.; a sister, Donna Kirkpatrick; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bill, Elwood, Mark and Kyle Kirkpatrick, James Fekete and Kevin Detlor.

HARRODSBURG -- Ansel Estes Drury, 92, of Bohon Road died Monday at St. Joseph Hospital.
Born March 8, 1910, in Washington County, he was the son of the late William F. and Lizzie Pulliam Drury. He was a retired farmer, a member of Bohon Christian Church and the widower of Julia Crouch Drury.
Survivors include two sons, Gerald Drury and David E. Drury, both of Harrodsburg; six grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Leonard Price and Danny Sallee. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Henry T. Hurt Jr.
LANCASTER -- Henry Thomas Hurt Jr., 85, of Highland Avenue died Tuesday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital.
Born Nov. 26, 1917, in Garrard County, he was the son of the late Henry T. and Ida Mae Parsons Hurt. He was retired after 40 years with General Telephone Co.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was the widower of Allene L. Hurt.
Survivors include three sons, Henry T. Hurt III of Frankfort, Kenneth D. Hurt of Lancaster and Larry E. Hurt of Somerset; a daughter, Lura Janbakhsh of Somerset; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Rev. John Presko and Louie Hammons. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Billy Leavell, Tommy, Janson, Tim and Bill Hurt, and George Jackson. Honorary pallbearers are Earl Parsons and Norman Young.

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- Erma Jean Keener, 72, died Monday at her home.
Born July 11, 1930, in Parksville, she was the daughter of the late Ray T. and Bessie A. Westerfield Rule. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church and program chairman of the Clark County Heart Association for 25 years. She was a member of several clubs and organizations.
Survivors include her husband, William R. Keener; a daughter, Jackie Brown of Lake Ridge, Va.; a son, Jeff Keener of Erlanger; and four grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Jones-Kenney-Zechman Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.

Paul A. Scheue
BRADENTON, Fla. -- Paul Alexander Scheuer, 69, of died Jan. 27.
Born Sept. 23, 1933, in Ottenheim, he was a retired president and owner of Scheuer Oil Co. in Danville. While in Danville, he was also was a member of Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce. He was a graduate of University of Kentucky. He served in the Army and was an usher at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Scheuer; a daughter, Melanie Sendek of Raleigh, N.C.; three sons, Mark Scheuer of Flagstaff, Ariz., Douglas Scheuer of Sarasota, Fla., and Lee Scheuer of Louisville; two brothers, Bill Scheuer of Bristol, Tenn., and Jack Scheuer of Buffalo, N.Y.; two sisters, Jean Johnson of Denver, Colo., and Helen Young of Ormond Beach, Fla.; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Saturday at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church.
