Marie Daley Seay, 73, of Louisville died Tuesday at home.
Born April 12, 1929, in Boyle County, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Gertrude Worthington Murphy. She was retired from General Electric Corp. in Louisville with 14 years of service. She also had been employed for six years at Palm Beach Co. in Danville and six years with Cricketeer in Burgin.
She was a member of Southern Heights Baptist Church in Danville and Auburndale Baptist Church in Louisville.
Survivors include a son, Ron Daley of Notingham, England; two daughters, Pat Daley Edwards of Louisville and Debbie Daley Baker of Mount Washington; three stepsons, Ralph, George and Jackie Seay, all of Louisville; a sister, Mildred Plummer of Stanford; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Stith Funeral Home by the Rev. Harley Humfleet. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeff and Josh Edwards, Ricky Lieber, Tom Plummer, Brad Murphy and Josh Brown.
Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Friday.
Memorials may go to Hospice of Louisville.

Loretta G. Atwood
LIBERTY -- Loretta Gertrude Atwood, 67, of Gum Lick Road died Wednesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born June 10, 1935, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Mildred Wethington. She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom, a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, and the widow of Johnnie Charles Atwood.
Survivors include two sisters, Jane Noel and Ada Mae Carmon, both of Liberty; two brothers, Dallon Wethington of Campbellsville and Herman Wethington of Frankfort.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Bernard Catholic Church by the Rev. Thomas Clark. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation is after 6 p.m. today at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Born in Mercer County, she was an employee of Churchill Downs and a member of Hot Springs Showman's Club, Jefferson County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 14, St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 292, AFL-CIO Local 181 and Okolona Democratic Club.
Survivors include a brother, Charles W. Bonta III; and two half sisters, Marlene Erickson of Nicholasville and Debbie Shearer of Danville.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, Okolona. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

George Preece Jr.
LIBERTY -- George Preece Jr., 77, of Ky. 206 died Tuesday at Casey County Hospital.
Born Aug. 18, 1925, in Kermit, W.Va., he was the son of the late George and Kellie Kirk Preece. He was a retired Army veteran and a member of Antioch Masonic Lodge 424. He was commander of the Casey County Funeral Squad.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Gillespie Preece; three sons, George Preece III of Dunlow, W.V., Alexander Preece of Germany, and Dexter Berndt of Liberty; four daughters, Rebecca Wilson of Savannah, Ga., Vivian Ross of Inez, and Dee Dee Fletcher and Sonya Hurley, both of Liberty; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Walter Marcum and Clifford DeHart. Burial will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery in Nancy with military rites by the Casey County Funeral Squad.
Pallbearers will be members of Casey Country Funeral Squad.

Born Jan. 28, 1904, in Faubush, she was the daughter of the late Thomas V. and Abbie McGahan Lane.
She was a factory worker in Cincinnati and a member of Holiness Church.
She was the widow of Don C. Holder.
Survivors include a brother, Finley Lane of Nancy.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Stith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Arlington Memorial Gardens in Cincinnati.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Wednesday.

Donald Gene Phillips, 65, of Airport Road died Saturday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Jan. 24, 1938, in Boyle County, he was the son of Martha P. Schlachter Phillips of Airport Road and the late Donald Phillips. He was a retired employee of Matsushita and a member of Junction City Christian Church.

She was former owner and operator of the Beauty Nook and a member of Lancaster Baptist Church.
