J.T. Shearin
J.T. Shearin, 85, of Hughley Lane, Harrodsburg, died Tuesday at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington.
Born July 15, 1917, in Bryantsville, he was the son of the late Henry S. and Jewell Spoonamore Dailey Shearin. He was a farmer and a member of Junction City First Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Junction City High School and Centre College Class of 1938. He was a past president of the Boyle County Chapter of Farm Bureau.
Survivors include his wife, Winifred P. Shearin; a daughter, Julie Shearin Shelby of Lexington; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday at Bellevue Cemetery by the Rev. Ernest Martin. He was preceded in death by a son, Henry Lloyd Shearin, 60, who died Sept. 13 in Studio City, Calif., and whose ashes will be interred during the graveside ceremony for his father.
Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Friday at Stith Funeral Home.

Mary B. Stewart
PERRYVILLE -- Mary Bricken Stewart, 87, of Perryville died Wednesday at Taylor Manor nursing home in Versailles.
Born May 21, 1915, in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Robert E.L. and Mae Edward Bricken. She was a sales clerk, retired from the former Hub Frankel store in Danville, and a member of Perryville United Methodist Church and Boyle County Homemakers. She was the widow of William O. Stewart.
Survivors include two daughters, Helen S. Doss of Perryville and Barbara Ann Gormley of Versailles; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a stepgreat-grandchild.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Wilder Funeral Home by the Revs. Jimmy Owens and Gerald Gaddis. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Robert, Rodney and Greg Sims, Michael and Patrick Gormley, Mark Bruck, Tom Tipton and Paul Roution.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at Wilder Funeral Home.
Memorials may go to Perryville United Methodist Church building fund.

LIBERTY -- Bessie Lee Taylor Terry, 87, of Dunnville died Wednesday at her home.
Born July 31, 1915, in McComb, Ill., she was the daughter of the late George F. and Addie E. Patton Taylor. She was a homemaker and the widow of Homer Terry. She was a member of Dunnville Christian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Glenda S. Smith of Russell Springs and Barbara J. Wilson of Liberty; two sons, Jerry W. Terry of Lacenia, Ind., and Patrick L. Terry of Dunnville; and four grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Bartle Funeral Home. Burial will be in Green River Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gary, Larry and Thurman Terry, Glen Seawright, Charles Allen and Jerry Bronger. Honorary pallbearers will be David and Donald Tarter, Charlie Smith, Larry Luttrell, Greg Neat, Steve Fox, Terry Salyers and Dale Wilson.

Beatrice Floyd
WAYNESBURG -- Services for Beatrice Alma Hubble Floyd, 84, of Todd Road, Eubank, will be 1 p.m. Friday at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home by Tom Patterson and Doros Zachariacles. Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery.
She died Tuesday at the home of her daughter.
Born Oct. 24, 1918, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Joshua and Bertha McKinney Hubble. She was a homemaker, a member of Woodstock Baptist Church, and the widow of Samuel C. Floyd.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia McGowan of Eubank; and a granddaughter.

Timothy D. Stephens
HARRODSBURG -- Timothy Daryell Stephens, 41, of Lexington died Tuesday at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington.
Born Aug. 17, 1961, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of Donald and Wanda F. King Stephens of Lancaster. He was a line adjuster for Osram Sylvania Co. in Versailles, member of the Bluegrass Sportsman League in Wilmore, a graduate of Lafayette High School and a member of the Lafayette High School Football Boosters. He was a former baseball coach for South Lexington Youth Baseball and former soccer coach for Lexington Youth Soccer Association.
He was a member of Southland Christian Church in Lexington.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Gail Sims Stephens; two sons, Travis D. Stephens and Trent D. Stephens, both of Lexington; and two brothers, Donald Stephens of Harrodsburg and Barry Stephens of Lexington.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Southland Christian Church by Jon Weece. Burial will be in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Saturday until service time at the church.
Memorials may go to Stephens Boys' Fund, c/o National City Bank, any location in Lexington or Danville; Southland Christian Church; or Hospice of the Bluegrass.

Edward F. Doherty
Edward F. Doherty, former assistant vice president of American Greetings Corp., who was manager of the Danville plant for many years, died Monday at Thomson Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore. He was 76.
Doherty began working with American Greetings in 1953 and continued until he retired several years ago. He was a graduate of Boston College.
Active in the community for many years, Doherty served as president and director of the Danville-Boyle County Chamber of Commerce and president of the United Community Fund. He also served on the state Economic Development Council in the 1970s.
He was a member of Danville Rotary Club and Danville Country Club.
His wife, Joan Doherty, survives.

Naomi Hill Foster, 97, of Woodland Park, Colo., died Thursday in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Born Dec. 27, 1905, in Danville, she was the daughter of the late Allie and Maude Martin Hill. She was a homemaker, attended Centenary United Methodist Church, and was the widow of Homer Foster.
Survivors include a daughter, Emily G. Howard of Woodland Park; two sisters, Dorothy Klinck of Tampa, Fla., and Ethyl Glatts of Pasadena, Calif.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

MORELAND -- Lena Elizabeth Lawson Smith Sandidge, 89, of Moreland died Monday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born May 24, 1913, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Burgess and Susan Mullen Lawson. She was a homemaker and a member of Moreland Christian Church. She was the widow of Stephen A. Smith and Clifton B. Sandidge.
Survivors include two daughters, Dixie Brown and Diane Trailor, both of Moreland; a son, Dale Smith of Moreland; a stepson, Bob Sandidge of Junction City; a brother, Marcus Lawson of Hustonville; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. David Smith. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery, Stanford.

Owen T. Leathers, 84, of Rosemont Avenue died Saturday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Aug. 26, 1918, in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Thomas and Nina Johnson Leathers. He was a retired farmer and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Opal Coy Leathers; and a daughter, Jackie Leathers of Danville.
He was preceded in death by a son, Wayne C. Leathers.
