LIBERTY -- Gilbert W. Absher, 76, of Dunnville died Monday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born March 22, 1926, in Casey County, he was the son of the late Sam and Alice Propes Absher. He was retired from Tarter Gate Co. and was the widower of Treva Sallee Absher.
Survivors include two daughters, Charlene Lee and Brenda Pendleton, both of Dunnville; two sons, Danny and David Absher, both of Dunnville; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. today at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Edward Brown. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Danny, David, James, Allen and Darrell Absher and Brent Pendleton.

JEFFERSONTOWN -- Dana Allen Mattingly, 43, of Louisville died Sunday.
He was the son of Earl Mattingly of Louisville and the late Barbara Allen Wilson Mattingly.
Other survivors include his wife, Lisa Mattingly; eight children, Ryan, Brooke, Joseph, Rachel, Daniel, Jamie, Sarah and Hannah; three brothers; two sisters; and several aunts and uncles in Boyle County.

Garnett W. Gibson
PERRYVILLE -- Services for Garnett Wade Gibson, 87, of Perryville will be 1 p.m. Friday at Wilder Funeral Home by the Rev. Brian Ebel. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
He died Monday in Russell Springs.
Born Dec. 20, 1915, in Boyle County, he was the son of the late Hugh and Eunice Wayne Gibson. He was a retired farmer and a member of Antioch United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Violet Best Gibson; a daughter, Jean Dunsmore of Russell Springs; a sister, Lula Gabhart of Springfield; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be William S., Roger A., William K. and David R. Dunsmore and Doyle and Roy Gibson.
Honorary pallbearers will be David and Dwayne Gibson, Doug Edwards, Otha Tate, Josh Ayora, Tim Banks, Keith Reed and Harold Gabhart.
Visitation will be 4:30-9 p.m. Thursday.

MORELAND -- Services for Sarah Elizabeth Carter Sandidge, 91, of Moreland will be 11 a.m. Thursday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Revs. Bill Minor and David Smith. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.
She died Tuesday at her home.
Born Dec. 16, 1911, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Georgia Wiggington Carter. She was a retired employee of Ford Motor Co. in Danville. She was a member of Moreland Christian Church, Ladies Aide Society and Order of the Eastern Star, and the widow of Morgan B. Sandidge.
Survivors include a brother-in-law, two sisters-in-law, nieces and a nephew.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Gover, Jim Kelley, Jimmy Chelf, Billy Kirkpatrick, Elwood Brown and Dale Smith.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. Thursday until funeral time.

Helen C. Thompson
LEXINGTON -- Helen Cash Thompson, 84, of Lexington, widow of Raffo Thompson, died Sunday.
She was the daughter of the late Clark and Fredia Seltsam Cash. She was retired as a bookkeeper from First Security Bank in Lexington and was a graduate of Parksville School and Spencerian Business College;
Survivors include two daughters, Mary L. Jenkins and Theresa Noe, both of Lexington; two sons, Charles R. Thompson Jr. of Winchester and John L. Thompson of Lexington; two sisters, Isabell Grott of Lexington and Bonnie White of Perryville; two brothers, Clyde Cash of Danville and Larry Cash of Perryville; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Henry Thompson.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Christ the King Church in Lexington by the Rev. Paul Prabell. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. and 5-9 p.m. today at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home.

Lawrence L. Warren
SCIENCE HILL -- Lawrence Warren, 77, of Waynesburg died Sunday at his home.
Born Jan. 4, 1926, in Eubank, he was the son of the late Joe and Lula Eubank Warren. He was owner of Warrens Auto Sales, and believed to be the oldest auto dealer in Lincoln County. He also was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of Eubank Church of Christ. He was the widower of Juanita Whitter Warren.
Survivors include three sons, Larry Warren of Somerset and Robert and Carl Warren, both of Eubank; a brother, Lewis Warren of Lewisburg, Ohio; two sisters, Nannie M. Godbey and Anna L. Jones, both of Somerset; seven grandchildren; and a step grandchild. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Warren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home by Ferlin Price. Burial will be in Eubank Cemetery.

Born July 5, 1945, in Boyle County, he was the son of Hazel M. Turpin Cook Rogers of Junction City and the late Paul H. Cook. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include a daughter, Crystal G. Cook of Las Vegas, Nev.; two brothers, Arnold Cook Sr. and Carl Cook, both of Junction City; and two half sisters, Betty and Ruby Cook, both of Honaker, Va.

Born April 2, 1963, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Herman and Frances Branum Greer. He was a welder at Penn Ventilation in Junction City and a former employee of Sellers Engineering in Danville. He was a 1982 graduate of Lincoln County High School.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy Yates Greer; three sisters, Iva Dean Barnett of Perryville, Norma Jean Kocher of Waynesburg, and Lisa Kilby of Crab Orchard; and a grandmother, Rosetta Greer of Kings Mountain.
Pallbearers will be Christopher and Michael Barnett, James Kocher, Dean Branum, David Crowe, Benjamin Yates, Andy Philpot and Bobby Clarkson. Honorary pallbearers are employees of Penn Ventilation Co.

Dola Harris Davis, 55, of Cocoa, Fla., died March 12 at Wuestoff Medical Center in Rockledge, Fla.
Born Sept. 29, 1947, in Crab Orchard, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Ethel Byrd Harris. She was a restaurant manager and formerly attended Indian Hills Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, William R. Davis; three sons, Robert A. West Jr. of Cocoa, Fla., and William L. West and Eric C. Lopez, both of Danville; two step-daughters, Billie Jo Capes and Gracie N. Gallimore, both of Findlay, Ohio; four brothers, James L. Harris of Stanford, Will A. Harris of Louisville, Andrew T. Harris of Danville and Lloyd S. Harris of Junction City; two sisters, Betty H. Lopez and Sheila Harris, both of Danville; and seven grandchildren.
