HARRODSBURG -- Services for Ava Jewell Elliott, 91, of Harrodsburg will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Robert DeFoor. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
She died Sunday at Harrodsburg Health Care Center.
Born Sept. 5, 1911, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Flora Bruner Bottom. She was a retired seamstress for Cricketeer, a member of Bruner's Chapel Baptist Church and the widow of Lee Elliott.
Survivors include a son, Bill Elliott of Harrodsburg; a daughter, Patsy J. Elliott of Florida; two sisters, Ressie Bailey of Harrodsburg and Vernetta Hall of Lexington; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Bobby L. Elliott.
Pallbearers will be Mark, Bobby Lee, John, John-John, Patrick and Bobby Elliott III.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Wednesday and after 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

James Phelps
STANFORD -- Services for James Phelps, 81, of McKinney will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at McKinney Baptist Church by the Rev. Jim Norman. Burial will be in McKinney Cemetery.
He died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Jan. 5, 1922, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late James L. and Bessie May Smith Phelps. He was a retired fork lift operator for Corning Glass Co. in Danville and a member of McKinney Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Cox Phelps; two sons James L. Phelps Jr. of McKinney and Michael L. Phelps of Garrard County; a daughter, Linda Roskens of Chapman, Kan.; a sister, Verla Raulin of Edgewater, Md.; and eight grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Hershel Fletcher, Joe Wade, Seth Roskens, Hillary Roskens, Darrell McDonald and Junior Marlow.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today at Spurlin Funeral Home

Roger A. Quinn
STANFORD -- Services for Roger Alan Quinn, 55, of High Ridge Road, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Fox Funeral Home by Glenn Gasser and Greg Harger. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Perryville.
He died Sunday at Central Baptist Hospital.
Born June 10, 1947, in Mitchell, Ind., he was a son of Norman Quinn of Mitchell and the late Lola M. Allen Quinn. He was a pharmacist and former owner of Quinn's Pharmacy in Stanford, which merged with Rite Aid. He currently was a pharmacist at Rite Aid in Danville.
Other survivors include his wife, Beverly Taylor Quinn; a son, David Quinn of Carbondale, Ill.; a daughter, Maribeth Beckley of Danville; two brothers, Edward Quinn of Bloomington, Ind., and Fred Quinn of Whitehouse, Ohio; a sister, Rita Maul of Mitchell, Ind.; and a granddaughter.
Pallbearers will be Michael Beckley, Edward and Fred Quinn, Barry Maul, Tommy Taylor, Kirby Dennis and Clyde Jones.

Lenora Webb Alexander, 85, of West Lexington Avenue died Wednesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born May 4, 1918, in Perryville, she was the daughter of the late John B. and Mary Hiner Broyles Webb.
She was a homemaker, attended Parksville schools and was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church.
She was the widow of C.T. Alexander.
Survivors include a son, William O. "Bud" Alexander of Cincinnati; a daughter, Mary Ann Runyon of Danville; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Stith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday.

CRAB ORCHARD -- Eliza Pettit Hawley, 86, of Crab Orchard died Wednesday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 7, 1917, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late William and Clara Payne Pettit.
She was a seamstress, retired from Cowden Manufacturing Co., and a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church. She was the widow of Fred Hawley and Carl Hawley.
Survivors include a daughter, Clara "June" Hawley of Crab Orchard; a son, Bill Hawley of Crab Orchard; two stepsons, Eddie Hawley of Crab Orchard and Danny Hawley of Morristown, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sara Mae Hawley Goodwin.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at McKnight Funeral Home by Ron Harp and Dan Gutenson. Burial will be in Crab Orchard Cemetery.

Born in Stanford, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Nellie Brummett.
She was a retired press operator for F.W. Means Co. and a member of Thompson Road Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Janie Schroyer and Rovene E. Adkins, both of Lexington, and Virginia Ellis of Perryville; a sister, Minnie Reed of Lexington; and several grandchildren, great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home by Dave Parks.
