Harold Ross
LANCASTER -- Services for Harold "Bobby" Ross, 74, of Pine Hill Drive, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Revs. Val McCord, Mike McGinnis and Darrell Cone. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
He died Monday at his home.
Born April 4, 1929, in Garrard County, he was the son of the late Samuel and Cordellia Hollingsworth Ross. He was a former owner of a Lancaster Shell service station, had been a partner in Powell-Ross Ford Motor Co., and was sales manager for Lancaster Motors.
He also worked for Builders Supply in Danville and Spurlin Funeral Home. He was a member of New Antioch Christian Church, where he served as song leader, chairman of the board, Sunday school superintendent, secretary and treasurer. He was a veteran of the Korean War and recipient of a Bronze Star, Syngman Rhee citation, Korean service medal and other honors.
Ross also was a member of Lancaster Rotary Club for 34 years, where he served as president and was a Paul Harris Fellow. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars and a Kentucky Colonel.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Ray Ross; a daughter, Dianne Mink of Lancaster; two brothers, Bruce Ross of Chesapeake, Va., and Sam Ross of Lancaster; two sisters, Mamie Barker and Jessie Emeneger, both of Lancaster; and a grandson.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Ray, David Adams, Paul Greer, Russell Ray, Ricky Davis, George Preston, Harry Preston and Charles Smith.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Thursday.

Leona R. Doman
Leona R. Doman, 80, of Riva Ridge Road died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Nov. 18, 1922, in Pomeroy, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Anna Cocanougher Priode. She was a registered nurse and honors graduate of St. Joseph Hospital in Parkersburg, W.Va., and a member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church in Danville.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Doman; two sons, Edward Doman of Lebanon, Tenn., and Robert Doman of Jeffersonville, Ind.; a sister, Jane Brown of Pomeroy, Ohio; and four granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by a son, Dr. Michael Doman.
A memorial service will held at a later date.

Robert L. Adams
BRODHEAD -- Robert Lee "Bud" Adams, 70, of Crab Orchard died Tuesday at Rockcastle County Hospital.
Born Jan 2, 1933, he was the son of the late Robert L. Adams and Hazel Shaw. He was a farmer and tractor mechanic.
Survivors include his wife, Margy Helton Adams; six sons, Barry, David, Rodney, Randall "Tiny," Jason and John Adams, all of Brodhead; three daughters, Anita Barron and Angela and Allison Adams, all of Brodhead; a sister, Jeanette Seagroves of Crab Orchard; two brothers, Earl and Jimmy "Pete" Adams, both of Brodhead; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Marvin E. Owens Funeral Home by Matt Poutz. Burial will be in Crab Orchard Cemetery.

Charles A. Berry Jr.
Charles Anthony "Chuck" Berry Jr., 38, of Erskine Drive died Sunday in Atlanta.
Born March 12, 1965, in Danville, he was the son of Charles and Katherine Berry of Danville. He was a 1983 graduate of Danville High School and a restaurant manager.
Other survivors include a sister, Teresa Turner of Danville.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at St. James AME Church by the Rev. Everhart Walker. Burial will be in Hilldale Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Michael Thornton, Marcellus Lewis, Clark Walker, Donald Walker Jr., Robert Walker, Dale Bunkers and Carl Walker.
Honorary pallbearers are Kelvin Turner, Mario Berry and Clifford Berry.

SPRINGFIELD -- Irvin Lee Reynolds, 81, of Springfield died Tuesday at Central Baptist Hospital.
Born in Washington County, he was the son of the late Roy and Lillie Mae Robertson Reynolds. He was a retired farmer and carpenter and a member of Mackville Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Pinkston Reynolds; two sons, Felix Reynolds of Lancaster and Nelson Reynolds of Mackville; a brother, Mitchell Reynolds of Springfield; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Carey & Son Funeral Home by the Rev. Mark Stuart. Burial will be in Peter Cemetery, Mackville.

Marty Smith
HARRODSBURG -- Marty Smith, 37, of Lisa Avenue, Danville, died Monday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Nov. 21, 1965, in Harrodsburg, he was the son of Gracie Gaines Smith of Brodhead and the late Richard M. Smith. He was a carpenter, a 1983 graduate of Harrodsburg High School and had served in the Marine Corps.
Other survivors include a brother, Clint Smith of Lancaster; and a sister, Lisa Smith of Miami.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home by Jamie Releford. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Laurel Statham
GREAT FALLS, Mont. -- Laurel Statham, 73, of Great Falls died July 5.
Born June 19, 1930, in Yosemite, he was the son of the late Audie and Vada Mae Baldock Statham. He was a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel.
He was highly decorated during his military career. His medals and citations include a Bronze Star, Distinguished Flying Cross, National Defense Service Medal, two Presidential Unit Citations, Vietnam Civil Action Unit Citation and Gallantry Cross, and others. He retired from Malmstrom Air Force Base in 1980. He was a charter member of the Order of Daedalians and was a community volunteer.
Survivors include his wife, Mary R. Gentry Statham; a daughter, Kim Gagnon of Great Falls; two sons, Steven Statham of Everett, Wash., and Martha Statham of Duluth, Minn.; a sister, Vivian Hester of Stanford; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were July 9 at Hillcrest Lawn Chapel. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery with military rites.
Memorials may go to St. Vincent Depaul food bank.

Vetia F. Massin
WAYNESBURG -- Vetia F. Massin, 85, of Highland Park, Ill., died July 13 at Regency Hospice in Springfield, Ill.
Born Oct. 28, 1917, in Kings Mountain, she was the daughter of L.V. and Roberta Padgett Floyd. She was head nurse in intensive and cardiac care units at Highland Park Hospital and a founder of the alcohol program.
After retiring from nursing in 1980, she served as a commissioner for Lake County Housing Authority, serving three terms as chairman. She was a Moraine Township precinct committee member and a trustee for the Mosquito Abatement District of Lake County.
She was a member of Women Interested in Government, the Women's Club, Historical Society, Lake County Republican Federation, Highland Park Hospital Auxiliary, and Highland Park-Deerfield and 10th Congressional district women's Republican clubs.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Ebersohl of Chatham, Ill.; two sisters, June Hunter of Cincinnati and Kathleen Bastin of Erlanger; two grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Services were July 18 at Immaculate Conception Church, Highland Park. Burial was in Kings Mountain.
Memorials may go to Highland Park Hospital Auxiliary, ENH Office of Philanthropy, 1603 Orrington 750, Evanston, Ill., 60201. Burnett-Dane Funeral Home in Libertyville was in charge of arrangements.
