LANCASTER -- Services for Madrew Chambers, 89, of Lancaster will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Rev. Joseph Hood. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
She died Sunday at Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation.
Born Dec. 15, 1913, in Madison County, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Hayes Ross. She was a retired restaurant owner and a member of Lancaster Christian Church. She was the widow of Elzie P. Lane and Earl Chambers.
Survivors include a son, Jerry M. Lane of Lexington; a brother, Jake Ross of Paint Lick; and a sister, Cleone Hagan of Paint Lick.
Pallbearers will be Mike and Darrell Barrett, Jimmy Sanders, Don Martin, Raymond Hatfield, Harvey Miller and Julian Moss Jr.
Honorary pallbearers are Colin Raitiere, Cecil Sanders, David Moss, Nona Elam, Anna Murphy, Mary Jane Stempfly and Louise Barrett.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Wednesday.

Marie Kannard Patten, 89, of McDowell Place, formerly of Troy, Ohio, died Wednesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born June 8, 1914, in Portsmouth, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late William and Pauline Hehl Kannard. She was a retired secretary from a Troy automobile dealership.
Survivors include a brother, Edward Kannard of Danville.
Services will be Monday at Riverside Cemetery Chapel in Troy. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

MORELAND -- Janet Catron Rousey, 53, of Hustonville, died Friday at Casey County Hospital.
Born Nov. 13, 1949, in Whitley County, she was a daughter of Oda Ward Catron of Corbin and the late Lloyd Samuel Catron. She was a beautician and member of Steele's Chapel Christian Church in Corbin.
Survivors include her husband, Les Rousey of Hustonville; a son, Scott Rousey of Hustonville; a sister, Margaret McDaniel of Corbin; and three brothers, Jerrold Catron of Stanford, and Joe Catron and John Catron, both of Cleveland, Ohio.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hustonville Christian Church by the Revs. Don Burton and Greg Nimmo. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.

LIBERTY -- Aline Traylor Smith, 80, of Liberty, died Saturday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Nov. 8, 1922, in Marion County, she was a daughter of the late Bertha Traylor. She was a housewife.
She was the widow of William Edgar Smith. She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Jerry Smith.
Survivors include four daughters, Doris "Dottie" Yaden and Margie Sandusky, both of Liberty, Diane Lindsey of Louisville and Carla Carmicle of Bardstown; two sons, Terry and Gary Smith, both of Liberty; a sister, Shirley Lee of Mooresville, Ind.; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel by Bearl King. Burial will be in Tapscott Cemetery.

LIBERTY -- Samuel Vaught Jr., 69, of Stanford died Thursday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 23, 1933, in Casey County, he was the son of the late Sam and Letha Edwards Vaught. He was retired from Corning Glass Works and was the widower of Effie Lee Gilmore Vaught.
Survivors include a daughter, Lynda Sue Elliott of Harrodsburg; two sons, John G. Vaught of Hustonville and Michael Vaught of Stanford; three sisters, Dorothy Brown, Alma Monday and Irene Bryant, all of Liberty; four brothers, Melvin and Eugene Vaught, both of Liberty, Icie L. Vaught of Harrodsburg and Vallas Vaught of Yosemite; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Born July 25, 1936, in Danville, he was the son of the late James V. "Smokey" and Bernice Monroe Wood. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and a member of Fairview Baptist Church. He also was a Navy veteran and a member of Operators Engineer Local 181.
Survivors include his wife, Eunice Young Wood; four daughters, Kathy Morgan Wooldridge of Atlanta, Debbie Morgan Watson of Frankfort, Karen Davis and Ren/ Wood, both of Stanford; two brothers, Lawrence Wood of Winchester and Lewis Wood of Stanford; a sister, Virginia Curtsinger of Winchester; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was a secretary for American State Insurance, a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Danville, and Order of the Eastern Star 330 of Millersville, Ind. She was the widow of Paul W. Gay.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Cooper of Danville and Beverly Busenbarrick of Hollywood, Fla.; a sister, Aletha Pletcher of Asheville, N.C.; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
