Sarah W. Holliday
HARRODSBURG -- Sarah Will Holliday, 90, of Cardinal Meadows died Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Aug. 29, 1914, in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Ben C. and Hanna Robinson Hendren. She was a former employee of Palm Beach Co. in Danville, the Danville Laundry, and the former Danville Motor Lodge. She was a member of Danville Church of Christ and the widow of Onis Holliday.
Survivors include a nephew, Danny Noel of Harrodsburg; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Allen Holliday.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Spring Hill Cemetery by Gary Bagwell.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials may go to a favorite charity.

Iva S. Powers
PARIS -- Iva Spivey Powers, 81, of Harrodsburg, formerly of Millersburg, died Wednesday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born March 13, 1922, in Estill County, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Sarah E. Rose Spivey. She was a member of Magnolia Street Christian Church in Harrodsburg.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Powers Crump of Harrodsburg; three sisters, Carrie Shumate, Virginia Crump and Hallie Linvile, all of Paris; and two grandsons.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by the Rev. Matthew Atha. Burial will be in Paris Cemetery.
Memorials may go to Heritage Hospice of Danville or Mercer County Relay for Life.

Hazel S. Robinson
HARRODSBURG -- Hazel Lavern Sanders Robinson, 89, of Bate Street died Thursday at her home.
Born Dec. 15, 1913, in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Julia A. Mullins Sanders. She was a retired seamstress for the former Cricketer Manufacturing Co. and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church for 56 years where she was a choir member for 53 years, the Young at Heart Group, and Women's Missionary Union. She was the widow of Alvin P. Robinson.
Survivors include two sons, Charles T. Robinson and Michael W. Robinson, both of Harrodsburg; two daughters, Mrs. Kenny Bob Horn and Glenda Burke, both of Harrodsburg; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Hopewell Baptist Church by Richard Easterling, Chuck Robinson and Cleo Goodlett. Burial will be in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren and honorary pallbearers will be great-grandchildren.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at Ransdell Funeral Chapel and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Memorials may go to Heritage Hospice or to Bethel Baptist Church cemetery fund.

Melvin D. Penman
Services for Melvin D. Penman, 32, of Richmond will be 1 p.m. Monday at Second Street Christian Church by David Hansal. Burial will be in Hilldale Cemetery.
He died Tuesday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.
Born Aug. 25, 1970, in Lexington, he was the son of Kenneth Penman of Danville and Cleora Brown of Richmond. He was an employee of Blue Grass Plating Co. and a member of Body of Christ Ministries.
Survivors include his wife, Derlisa Penman of Louisville; four sons, Amiri Clark of Nicholasville and Quency, Demetri and Jacota Dean, all of Richmond; three brothers, Hiwatha Penman of Richmond, Adlie Penman of Sevierville, Tenn., and James Brown of Richmond; four sisters, A'Gatha Jarber, Rose Penman, Ernestine Gowdy and Sheona Brown, all of Richmond.

She died Wednesday at the home of her daughter in Stanford.
Born Nov. 9, 1929, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Brack C. and Etta Ballard Ledford. She was a former employee of Palm Beach Co. and attended Dix River Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Ray Frith; two daughters, Regina Meece of Stanford and Ramona Snyder of Waynesburg; four sons, Gary Ledford of Blythe, Ga., Tommie Frith and Timmie Frith, both of Crab Orchard, and Jeffery Frith of Stanford; two brothers, Brack Ledford Jr. and Donald Ledford, both of Crab Orchard; 11 grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Barfield, Darrell Meece, Rodney and Kenny Frith, Robbie, Finley and Lee Ledford, and Joe Coomer.

William D. Reese
PERRYVILLE -- William "Bill" David Reese, 75, of Sheridan Avenue, a former member of the Perryville City Council, died Wednesday at his home.
Born June 25, 1928, in Cleveland Ohio, he was the son of the late William and Elsie Gelak Reese. He was retired from American Greetings Co. after 30 years, where he was head of the maintenance department. He has served in the Army during the Korean War, was a member of Perryville United Methodist Church and a member and former commander of Battlefield Post 301, American Legion.
He was the widower of Inge Kaltenbach Reese.
Survivors include four sisters, Elsie Wyttke, Elaine Volcott, Priscilla Knowles and Donna Mitchell, all of Cleveland, Ohio; a brother, Robert Reese of Meridian, Idaho; and a companion, Joyce Edwards of Parksville.

Arnetta D. Clark
Arnetta Demaree Clark, 84, of Lexington, formerly of Danville, died Tuesday in Lexington.
Born March 3, 1919, in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Elsie Burrus Demaree. She was a homemaker and a member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years and was a member of Joy Sunday School Class. She was a graduate of Harrodsburg High School and the widow of James L. Clark.
Survivors include a son, Jamie C. Clark of Mercer County; a daughter, Cynthia Clark of Lexington; and a grandchild.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Stith Funeral Home by the Rev. Tommy Valentine. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
Visitation will be noon-2 p.m. Saturday.

Born May 2, 1957, in Danville, he was the son of Earl C. Snedegar and the late Dorothy Dean Rankin Snedegar. He was a former apprentice pipe-fitter and a member of Faith Fellowship Church.
Survivors include his wife, Janet D. Snedegar; grandmother, Florence Snedegar of Danville; and a sister, Elizabeth S. Thomas of Simpsonville.
