William H. Bailey
HARRODSBURG -- William Harold Bailey, 70, of New Dixville Road, husband of Hattie Jane Bugg Bailey, died Saturday.
Born Dec. 15, 1924, in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Oscar and Bonnie Gertrude Devine Bailey.
He served four terms as a Mercer County Magistrate, was a retired farmer, a bus driver for the Mercer County School System and an employee of the Kentucky Highway Department. He was a member of Benton Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, John Charles Bailey and Danny Gerald Bugg both of Harrodsburg and two sisters, Viola Sims and Virginia Lay both of Harrodsburg.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by the Rev. James Harley and Tim Gray. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Crystal Nevius, Bryan Nevius, Nicholas Craig, Bailey Nevius, John Paul Bailey, Amanda Bailey, Kaylie Hulbert and Terry Bugg. Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today and after 7:30 a.m. Monday.

LANCASTER -- Helen Bruner, 78, died today at the Garrad County Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Shirley Bruner of Lancaster. Arrangements are incomplete at Spurlin Funeral Home, Lancaster.

Vanessa A. Norris
LANCASTER -- Vanessa Ann Norris, 42, of Martin Luther King in Lancaster died Friday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital.
Born Sept. 10, 1960, in Garrard County, she was the daughter of the late Simon and Mary B. Norris.
She was a homemaker and member of St. Paul Predestinarian Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Nicole Norris, Tera Norris and Erica Norris, all of Lancaster; two sons, Damon Norris and Jamaine Norris, both of Lancaster; a brother, Simon Norris, Jr. of Lancaster; and six grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Predestinarian Baptist Church by Barry Bowman.
Visitation and a wake will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in Duncan Town Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be William Leavell, William Hocker, James Clark, Rob Boatley, Russell Kavanaugh and Laython Leavell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Jones, Henry Huffman, Jr., Cecil Dunn, Terry Dunn, Eric Gilliam and Cedric Leavell.

Rosa M. Burton
STANFORD -- Rosa Mae Burton, 84, of Stanford died Thursday at Fort Logan Hospital.
Born April 2, 1919, in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of the late Ben Baker and Minnie Daulton Baker.
She was a housewife and member of Stanford Baptist Church. She kept the nursery at the church for more than 30 years. She was the widow of Delbert Burton.
Survivors include three sons, J.B. Burton and Herner Burton, both of Stanford, and Bobby Joe Burton of London; one sister, Dorothy Tarter of Nancy; one brother, Estil Baker of Nancy; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, M.C. Burton and Glen C. Burton.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. today at Stanford Baptist Church by the Rev. Max Hester. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Burton, Rod Burton, Michael Burton, Tyler Dunaway, Henry Smith and Randy Smith.

Elizabeth M. Gilbert
CRAB ORCHARD -- Elizabeth "Libby" Martin Gilbert, 55, of Kearney, Neb. and formerly Crab Orchard, wife of James Gilbert, died June 15 in Kearney, Neb.
Born Sept. 28, 1947, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of Mae Dyehouse Martin of Crab Orchard and the late Cecil L. Martin.
She was a member of the Crab Orchard Baptist Church and worked as an instructor at the University of Nebraska.
Other survivors include a daughter, Jennifer Hunter of Kearney, Neb.; a sister, Patty Godby of Harrodsburg; and two brothers, Don Martin of Lancaster and Randy Martin of Berea.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at Crab Orchard Baptist Church.

Geneva B. Hatfield
LANCASTER -- Geneva Bolton Hatfield, 82, of Meadowlark Drive, wife of Raymond D. Hatfield, died Thursday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 26, 1920, in Garrard County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Bolton and Lula Mack Coffey Bolton.
She was a retired seamstress at Palm Beach Company and member of Bethel Christian Church. She was a member of the Danville Auxillary and AARP.
Other survivors include two daughters, Judy Carolyn Smith and Rita Gail Roberts, both of Berea; one brother, Hollis Bolton of Lancaster; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel by Dale Ballinger. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. today.

Raymond E. Tucker
VERSAILLES -- Raymond E. Tucker, 64, Marilyn Avenue, died Saturday in his home.
Born at Nonesuch in Woodford County, he was the son of the late William Everett and Della Troxell Tucker.
He retired as superintendent for Kentucky Utilities after 36 years, was a member of Versailles United Methodist Church and had attended Antioch United Methodist Church in Perryville.
He was a member of the Versailles Lions Club and the Mended Hearts Association, and a member and Past Master of Landmark Lodge No. 41 F&AM;, the Scottish Rite.
Survivors include his wife, Bernice Best Tucker; a son, Raymond "Eddie" Tucker of Frankfort; three sisters, Della Atwell of Lexington, Myrtle Hogan of Frankfort and Margarett Clegg of Florida; a brother, William Everett "June" Tucker of Versailles; and a grandson.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home in Versailles by the Revs. Brian Ebel and Coleman Howlett.
Visitation is 3-7 p.m. today.
A Masonic service will be at 7 p.m. today.

Wanda S. Warner
HARRODSBURG -- Wanda Stumph Warner, 69, of Scenic Drive and formerly of Bloomfield, wife of James R. Warner, died Thursday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born Sept. 8, 1933, in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Nannie Lou Darland Stumph.
She retired from the Nelson County School System after 25 years and was a member of Harrodsburg Christian Church. In her church she was a deacon, Sunday School teacher, C.W.F. President, officer of Friendship Circle, choir member and 16-year president at the Community Tree of Life. She was a graduate of Mackville High School.
Other survivors include two sons, Barry Warner of Winchester and Jeff Warner of Georgetown; three brothers, Albert Stumph and Donald Stumph, both of Harrodsburg, and Sam Stumph of Mackville; two sisters, June Green of Harrodsburg and Bertie Todd of Seattle, Wash.; and four grandchildren.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. today at Bloomfield Christian Church by Don Chase and Tom Pierce. Burial will be in Chaplin Highview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Warner, Rob Walker, Ken Walker, Brenda Stewart, Teresa Miller and Donnie Stumph. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Bloomfield Christian Church choir, Sunday School class and C.W.F.

Eugene Weddle
LIBERTY -- Eugene Weddle, 78, of Liberty, husband of Hazel Weddle, died Friday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Oct. 20, 1924, in Pulaski County, he was the sone of Leonard G. Weddle and Ella Mae Pierce.
He was a farmer and foreman for the Kentucky Highway Department in Casey County. He was a member of Liberty First Baptist Church and Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include two daughters, Jane Wardrip of Liberty and Kathy Bastin of Edmond, Okla.; six sons, Bruce Weddle of New Albany, Ind., Bob Weddle, Roger Weddle, David Weddle, Richard Weddle and Jerry Weddle, all of Liberty; one sister, Agatha Purdom of Liberty; one brother, T.M. Weddle, Sr. of Liberty; one grandchild; one step grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today by Larry Davis and Clifford DeHart at McKinney Brown Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Casey County Memorial Gardens.

Paul N. Lynn
Services for Paul Norman Lynn, 68, of Danville, husband of Lucilla Lynn, were Saturday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Wayne Stevens.
Burial was in Hustonville Cemetery.
He died Wednesday at V.A. Medical Center in Lexington.
Born Dec. 15, 1934, in Boyle County, he was the son of the late Montie Wilson and Walter Howard Lynn.
He retired from Jackson Chair after more than 30 years, an Army veteran and a Baptist.
Survivors include a brother, James E. Lynn, Sr. of Danville; and three sisters, Dorothy Wilcher of Salvisa, Patty Kimberling of Parksville and Betty Baugh of Parksville.
Pallbearers were Kevin Polston, David Ray Lynn, Danny Wilcher, Michael Polston, David Lee Lynn and Stephen Henson.

HARRODSBURG -- Services for Martha Helen Boblett, 55, of North College Street were Saturday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home by Kevin Patrick.
Burial was in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Anderson County.
She died Wednesday at Norton Hospital in Louisville.
Born Oct. 4, 1947, in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Bertha Sea Grubbs. She was a former employee of Harrodsburg Health Care Center and a member of the United Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include a son, Chad Boblett, a U.S. Marine stationed in Japan; two daughters, Linda Hall and Cynthia Griffieth, both of Harrodsburg; two brothers, David Grubbs of Lexington and Daniel Grubbs of Somerset; five sisters, Kathleen Grubbs Rucker of Lawrenceburg, Carolyn Grubbs Nethery of Louisville, Marcella Boblett of Lawrenceburg, Deborah Grubbs Richardson of Bardstown and Mary Riley of Springfield; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jo Cob Turner, Andrew Griffieth, Michael Salvia, Kenneth Black, Sammy Riley and Billy Dye.
