LANCASTER -- Services for Doris R. Sparks Noel, 77, of Louisburg, N.C., formerly of Garrard County, will be 1 p.m. Friday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Rev. Billy Fayne. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
She died Sunday in Raleigh, N.C.
Born Oct. 22, 1922, in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Clorris C. and Thelma Wheeler Sparks. She was a homemaker and affiliated with the Baptist Church. She was the widow of Chester R. Noel.
Survivors include three daughters, Donna F. Waters of Louisburg, N.C., Rita L. McKelvin of Bunnell, Fla., and Freda M. Sloan of Ormond Beach, Fla.; a son, Maurice W. Vickers of Bunnell, Fla.; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. Thursday.

Beulah S. Pollard
LANCASTER -- Graveside services for Beulah Simpson Pollard, 88, of Lynnwood Drive will be 10 a.m. Friday at Lancaster Cemetery by the Rev. James Hendricks. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
She died Monday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 7, 1912, in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Milo and Bettie Foster Simpson. She was a homemaker and a member of Lancaster Baptist Church. She was the widow of James C. Pollard.
Survivors include two sisters, Ann White of Lexington and Margaret Columbia of Louisville.
There will be no visitation.

Katherine C. Craft
LANCASTER -- Katherine Cotton Craft, 78, of Dixon died Sunday at her home.
Born Aug. 4, 1922, in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late William A. and Eula Brown Cotton. She was a retired secretary for St. Joseph Hospital and a member of Lancaster United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Thomas T. Craft Sr.
Survivors include a son, Thomas T. Craft Jr. of Dixon; a brother, John Cotton of Danville; a sister, Frances Wilson of Lancaster; and three grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Rev. Bob Coppings. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Wednesday.

Wallace S. Brackett
LIBERTY -- Wallace S. Brackett, 74, of Liberty died Sunday at his home.
Born May 14, 1926, in Labascus, he was a son of the late Speed and Sally Baldock Brackett. He was a retired truck driver, a World War II Army veteran and a member of Labascus Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Matherly Brackett; three daughters, Brenda May of Statesville, N.C., Anita Price of Liberty and Winna Ramsey of Monticello; two sons, Jerry and Keith Brackett, both of Liberty; two brothers, Edward Brackett of Liberty and John Brackett of Bowling Green; 17 grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Brackett.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bartle Funeral Home by Sean McCallister, Larry Luttrell and Clark Carlo. Burial will be in Labascus Cemetery with military rites by Casey County Funeral Squad.
Pallbearers will be members of the Casey Funeral Squad.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. today.

Hollis E. Pevley
MULBERRY, Ind. -- Hollis Eugene Pevley, 58, of Mulberry died Saturday at Lafayette Home Hospital.
Born Nov. 6, 1941, in Casey County, he was a son of Tom and Nettie Sallee Pevley. He was an employee of Townsend Tree Service and attended Harmony Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Oneita B. Cooksey Curtsinger Pevley; Cathy Gregory of Frankfort, Ind., whom he raised; two brothers, Jerry and Jackie Stephens, both of Liberty; four sisters, Jewel Stone of North Vernon, Ind., Angie Davis, Devonda S. Luttrell and Judy Sharp, all of Liberty; two half brothers, Mervin and Garvey Stephens, both of Lexington; three stepdaughters, Shelby Dean of Harrodsburg, Linda Foxworthy of Springfield, and Janice Farley of Lexington; and three stepsons, Connie Gabhart of Willisburg, LaRue and Larry Casey, both of New Haven.
He was preceded in death by a half brother, Carroll Stephens.
Services were Sunday at Bodine Funeral Home. A graveside service will be 4 p.m. Tuesday at Thomas Ridge Cemetery, Liberty.

John F. Rayburn
LANCASTER -- John Frank Rayburn, 82, of Cecilian Terrace died Saturday at his home.
Born Jan. 23, 1918, in Russell Springs, he was son of the late Rev. J.W. and Clara Wisdom Rayburn. He was a retired employed of Kentucky Cabinet of Human Resource and affiliated with the National Alliance of Business. He was a member of Hedgeville Baptist Church, a member and former state coordinator of the Christian Motorcyclists Association and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Doris J. Brooks Rayburn; a stepson, Herb McMillan of Nashville, Tenn.; a stepdaughter, Peggy Granato of Franklin, N.C.; a brother, Jess Rayburn of Glasgow; five step grandchildren; and four step great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hedgeville Baptist Church by the Rev. John Cato. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Granato, Dave Pettit, Patrick McMillan, Chris and Terri Eaton and Tony Hunt. Honorary pallbearers are Lawrence Vance, Robert Crouch, Jim Lair, Ed Roark, Paul Curry and Bill Sanders.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today at Ramsey Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Israel Shepherd
LIBERTY -- Israel Shepherd, 77, of Canoe Creek Road died Friday at his home.
Born Feb. 27, 1923, in Floyd County, he was son of the late James and Della Hale Shepherd. He was a retired employee of Rockwell International of Michigan, and an Army veteran of World War II. He also was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church and a life-member of Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Hoover Shepherd; five daughters, Darlene Herrington of Harvey, La., Susan Hassett of Maidenville, La., Melinda Marshall of Albion, Mich., Deborah Shepherd of Liberty and Laura Hood of Lancaster; a sister, Alice Miller of Laporte, Ind.; and seven grandchildren.
Services were today at Liberty United Methodist Church by Raymond Brinegar. Burial is in Glenwood Cemetery.

Harry E. Fields
OWENSBORO -- Harry E. Fields, 84, of Owensboro, formerly of Danville, died Tuesday at his home.
Born in Danville, he was a retired principal of Estes Elementary School and a member of Fourth Street Baptist Church. He was also a member of Mount Pisgah Lodge No. 20 F&AM and of Amaranth Chapter 46. He was formerly a member of First Baptist Church in Danville and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include six nephews, three nieces and several grandnieces and nephews.
Services will be 11 a.m. CDT Monday at Fourth Street Baptist Church. Entombment will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday CDT at the church with Masonic and Eastern Star rites at 7 p.m.

TAMPA, Fla. -- Donald Leroy "Don" Garrison, 61, of Tampa died Thursday at Tampa General Hospital.
Born in Big Stone Gap, Va., he was a certified public accountant for a national accounting firm. He was an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Garrison; a son, Bill Garrison of Tampa; a daughter, Laurel Buser of Tampa; mother, Vergie Garrison of Homosassa, Fla.; sister, Lila Reach of Homo-sassa; and two grandchildren.

Roy Singleton
MIDDLEBURG -- Roy Singleton, 54, of Norwood, Ohio, died Friday at Ball Memorial Hospital.
Born July 1, 1946, in Casey County, he was the son of Eva Martin Singleton of Blue Ash, Ohio, and the late Joseph Singleton. He was a mechanic.
In addition to his mother, survivors include a daughter, Tammy Mullins of Hustonville; a son, Michael Roy Singleton of Florida; six sisters, Roxie Joines, Juanita Sears, Faye Lenahan, Lafern Wrenn and Brenda Kidd, all of Norwood, and Susie Smith of Felicity, Ohio; two brothers, Darrell Singleton of Deer Park, Ohio, and Roger Singleton of Norwood; and a grandchild.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Grove Ridge Baptist Church by the Rev. Onva Hayes. Burial will be in Grove Ridge Cemetery.

Ina K. Goodin
LEBANON -- Ina Kathryn "Kitty" Goodin, 68, of Harrodsburg died Wednesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Dec. 29, 1931, in Marion County, she was a daughter of Goebel Mayo of Harrodsburg and the late Gladys Bennett Mayo. She was a retired nurse.
Other survivors include five brothers, Bob Mayo of Anchorage, Ky., G.L. Mayo of Lebanon, Frank Mayo of Bardstown, Marshall Mayo of Bowling Green and Leon Mayo of Harrodsburg.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Harrodsburg, by the Rev. Joseph Muench. Burial will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Augustine Catholic Church Cemetery.
Visitation and a prayer service will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
