Addie Booher
Addie Hooker Hurt Booher, 87, of Hemet, Calif., formerly of Columbia and Burkesville, Ky., died on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, at her home.
She was the daughter of the late Nelson and Cora Cheatham Hurt.
She was married
to Sam Ed Booher who preceded her in death.
Survivors include three daughters, Nelda Patton and her husband Billy of Columbia, Linda Clark and her husband Ken of Columbia, and Willow Dean Proffitt of Norco, Calif.; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; and one sister Helena Fudge of Burkesville.
Two brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be Saturday, Oct. 12, at 11 a.m. in Norco, Calif.
Johnny Wilson
Johnny Wilson, 59, of Columbia, Ky., died on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, at Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia.
He was the son of the late Ray and Blanche Perry Wilson of Adair County and was a former electrician.
Survivors include his wife, Carole Haynes Wilson of Columbia; two sons, Dwayne Wilson of Columbia, and Daryl Wilson of Milltown, Ky.; two daughters, Darlene Bragg of Howardstown, Ky., and Danette Burton of Columbia; three brothers, Robert J. Wilson of Bloomfield, Ky., Albert R. Wilson of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Ben Wilson of Greensburg; four sisters, Marilyn Baker of Greensburg, Nellie Boone of New Haven, Ky., Bertha Horstman and Patricia Bingham, both of Columbia; five grandchildren, Mickey Keltner, Dayne Bragg, Ashley Wilson, Angel Burton and Kyron Burton.
The body was cremated.
Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia was in charge of arrangements.
Marie McKinney Williams
Marie McKinney Williams, 88, of Cookeville, Tenn., formerly of Columbia, Ky., died on Friday, Oct. 4, 2002, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, Tenn., after a short illness.
She was the daughter of the late Jesse Franklin and Sarah Tyree McKinney of Estil County, Ky., and was a member of First Baptist Church in Cookeville and a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, Jack and Jerry Williams, both of Cookeville, Tenn.; one brother, Jesse Franklin McKinney of Blue Ash, Ohio; one sister, Pauline Pullins of Berea, Ky.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was at noon on Monday, Oct. 7 at Berea Cemetery in Berea, Ky. Dr. Michael Watts officiated.

Roy Parker York
Roy Parker "Jimmy" York, 60, of Green County, Ky., died on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002, at Taylor County Hospital in Campbellsville.
Son of the late Elver Parker York and Iva Dolly Morrison York, he was born on Nov. 2, 1941 in Cumberland County, Ky., and was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
He was married
to Wanda Faye Garmon on Dec. 14, 1963, who survives.
Other survivors include four sons, Timmy York and his wife Mary, Donnie York and his wife Joan, Stacy York and his fiance Yolanda and Jeremy York, all of Greensburg; two daughters and sons-in-law, Loretta and C.J. Coffey and Vickie and Chris Pendleton, both of Greensburg; one brother and sister-in-law, Donell and Martha York of Burkesville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lou Belle and William Veatch and Betty Jo and Butch Wheatley, both of Campbellsville; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two step-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Odell York and Jerry York.
Funeral was at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6 at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg. Burial was in Whitehill Cemetery. Bro. Allen Durrett officiated.
Pallbearers were Chris York, C.J. Coffey, Tommy Garmon, Terry "Bubby" York, Freddy Garmon and Bobby Garmon.

James W. Smith
James W. Smith, 91, of Old Lebanon Road in Campbellsville died on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2002, in Campbellsville.
Son of the late Andrew Smith and Mary Perkins Smith, he was born in Hart County, Ky. on Aug. 3, 1911 and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Smith was a member of Mystic Tie Masonic Lodge #450 F&AM.;
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Bland Smith of Campbellsville; two daughters, Norma Jean Long of Indianapolis, Ind., and Judy Rinehart of Maryville, Tenn.; two step-sons, J.T. Bland of Campbellsville and Michael Bland of Maryville, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandson; and two sisters and one brother, Gladys Pennington of Campbellsville, Faye Yankey of Springfield, and Tommy Smith of Lebanon.
He was also preceded in death by one son in infancy, Bobby Smith; and one sister and two brothers.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville with burial in Brookside Cemetery. The Rev. Earl Pike and the Rev. Chuck Pollard officiated.
Pallbearers were Craig Bland, David Bland, Grant Bland, Ryan Bland, Tyler Bland and John Shipp.
Arvin M. Gabehart
Arvin M. Gabehart, 84, of Brownington Way in Campbellsville died on Monday, Oct. 7, 2002, at University of Louisville Hospital after a sudden illness.
He was the son of the late Rev. Shelby Gabehart and Sarah Elizabeth Simpson Gabehart of Taylor County, Ky., and was a member of the Church of God.
Gabehart was a retired carpenter and a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Gabehart of Campbellsville; three sons and one daughter, Kenneth E. Gabehart of Campbellsville, Rodney L. and Roger D. Gabehart, both of Illinois, and Betty Jackson of West Virginia; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers and four sisters, Charles and Joseph Gabehart, both of West Virginia, Christine Parker Brewer of Ohio, Beverly Wyant of North Carolina, Kay Noe of South Carolina, and Rondelle Ramsey of West Virginia.
Two brothers and two sisters, David and Daniel Gabehart, Mary Ashley and Charmane Belcher also preceded him in death.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11 at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Burial was in Callahan Cemetery. Bro. Jessie Rogers and Bro. Mike Parker officiated.
Pallbearers were Larry Gabehart, Edward Gabehart, Rick D. Jackson, William Gabehart, Danny M. Smith and Rodney Burress.
Luther Marcum
Luther Creed "LC" Marcum, 93, of Greensburg, Ky., died on Saturday, March 29, 2003, at Taylor County Hospital in Campbellsville, Ky.
Son of the late Willie E. Marcum and Melissa N. Rafferty Marcum, he was born on Oct. 18, 1909 in Green County, Ky., and was a member of Brush Creek Baptist Church and was a farmer.
He was married
to Dixie Milby on July 4, 1940. She survives.
Other survivors include one daughter and one son, Jane A. Morrison of Greensburg and William Creed Marcum of Mt. Sherman, Ky.; one sister, Clara Warren of Louisville, Ky.; and five grandchildren, Felicia Morrison, Katie Morrison and Wes Morrison, all of Louisville, Chasity Marcum of Mt. Sherman and B.J. Marcum of Florida.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Clyde Marcum.
Funeral was at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 2 at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg. Burial was in Green County Memory Gardens. The Rev. Ancil Durrett officiated.
Pallbearers were James Scott, Stanley Moss, Gary Milby, Aubrey Calhoun, Chat Moss, Tommy McCubbin, Gary Calhoun and William Marcum.
Honorary pallbearers were Carlos Milby, Morris Milby and Philip Milby.
