Samuel Sapp
Samuel Randolph Sapp, 71, of Red Fern Road in Campbellsville, Ky., died on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2003, in Louisville, Ky.
Son of Della Groves Sapp of Campbellsville and the late Alonza Sapp, he was born on Dec. 30, 1931 in Taylor County, Ky., and was a member of Spurlington United Methodist Church.
Sapp was a retired educator and counselor in the Taylor County School System.
He was married
to Margaret Rodgers on Nov. 18, 1951. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, two daughters and their spouses, Steve Sapp of Louisville, Ky., Bradley and Sherl Sapp of Summersville, Ky., Karen and Bill Fawcett of Campbellsville, and Jennifer and Van Wethington of Bowling Green, Ky.; seven grandchildren, Chad Fawcett of Glasgow, Ky., Lynde Fawcett of Campbellsville, Bronson Sapp, Tyler Sapp and Stevie Sapp, all of Somerset, Candra Sapp of Summersville, and Grace Anne Wethington of Bowling Green; one great-grandson, Zachary Fawcett of Glasgow; and two sisters, one brother and their spouses, Bernice and Rudolph Cox, Laverne and Paul Edward Witham, and Manuel and Carolyn Sapp, all of Campbellsville.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Paul J. Dicken and the Rev. Travis Keltner officiated.
Pallbearers were Rudolph Cox, Gordon Mann, Richard Page, Bobby Rodgers, Jimmy Rodgers, Mitchell Rodgers, Ham Skaggs and Paul Edward Witham.
Expressions of sympathy should be in the form of donations to The Gideon Bible Memorial Plan or the Van Fund at Spurlington United Methodist Church.
Winnie B. Caudill
Winnie B. Caudill, 94, of San Diego, Calif., formerly of Campbellsville, Ky., died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003 in California.
Daughter of the late William Alvin Robinson and Mary Alice Settles Robinson, she was born on Nov. 25, 1908 in Taylor County, Ky. and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Caudill was a member of the Rebecca's and held several offices including Noble Grand Officer and Matriarch, and a member of Pocahontas.
She was married
to Gilbert Caudill, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include three nieces and one nephew, Carolyn Baker and Gloria Deener of Campbellsville, Jane Gore of Elizabethtown, and Ben Reynolds of Lexington.
Two brothers and two sisters, Leo Robinson, Hobert Robinson, Otha Reynolds and Mabel Knopp also preceded her in death.
Funeral was at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery.
Dr. James E. Jones officiated.
Pallbearers were Cody Baker, Mike Baker, Bradley Deener, Jeff Deener, Larry Deener and David Eastridge.
Billy Joe Salsman
Billy Joe Salsman, 67, of Autumn Drive in Campbellsville died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003 in Louisville.
Son of the late Henry J. Salsman and Agnes Matherly Salsman, he was born on Oct. 28, 1936 in Green County, Ky. and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Salsman was a retired park ranger for Green River Reservoir U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 2001.
He was married
to Marilyn Wilcox on Dec. 31, 1962, who survives.
Other survivors include three sons and their spouses, Steven Joseph and Brenda Salsman of Camp Zama, Japan, David Christopher and Jennifer Salsman of Wilmore, Ky., and John Mark and Stephanie Salsman of Lexington; six grandchildren, Joshua Steven Salsman and Rachel Grace Salsman of Japan, Zachary David Salsman, Jacob Christopher Salsman, Timothy Davis Salsman and Michael Dawson Salsman of Wilmore, Ky.; two brothers, Thomas Eugene Salsman and wife Betty of Richmond, and Melvin R. Salsman and wife Barbara of Louisville; his mother-in-law, Ruby Close Wilcox of Hodgenville; one sister-in-law, Frances R. Salsman.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, David O. Salsman.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 22 at First United Methodist Church in Campbellsville. Burial was in Buffalo Cemetery. The Rev. John Carroll Coomer officiated.
Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Phil Allan Bertram, Mark Bradley, David Dernier, George Eon, David Helm, Thomas R. McMahan, Buddy Moore and Jimmie Spurling.
Honorary pallbearers were Nolan Gilpin and Norris Holt.

Delmar Hayes
Delmar Hayes, 80, of Elkhorn, Ky., died on Friday, Oct. 4, 2002, in Campbellsville as the result of an automobile accident.
Son of the late Luther Hayes and Catherine Herron Hayes, he was born on Aug. 6, 1922 in Taylor County, Ky., and was a member of Stoner Creek United Methodist Church.
Hayes was a retired construction worker, truck driver and farmer. He also served during World War II as a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps.
He was married
to Bernice Herron on March 27, 1943, who survives.
Other survivors include, one son and three daughters, Carroll R. Hayes and Vivian Cochran, both of Elkhorn, and Delilah Cruse and Tonya Crain, both of Buffalo; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Kenneth Hayes of Elkhorn.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 7 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Gene Shields officiated.
Pallbearers were Dennis Bays, Rudolph Cox, Tim Cox, Miles Crain, Aaron Cruse, Todd Cruse and Mike Helm.
Robert 'Bobby' Willis
Robert "Bobby" Willis, 53, of Durhamtown Road in Campbellsville, Ky., died on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003, in Louisville, Ky.
Son of James Luther Willis and Arlene Rogers Willis, he was born on Oct. 4, 1949 in Taylor County, Ky., and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Willis was an employee of Kroger Co.
He was married
to Loretta Durham on Dec. 2, 1968. She survives.
Besides his wife and parents, Willis is survived by one son and one daughter, Rob Willis of Atlanta, Ga., and Becky Willis of Campbellsville; two grandchildren, Ashley Mackie and Danielle Curry, both of Campbellsville; and one nephew and his wife, Jamie and Jenny Willis of Campbellsville.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, James R. Willis on April 10, 1998.
Funeral was at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 7 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville, with burial in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Dr. Dwayne Howell and the Rev. Chuck Pollard officiated.
Pallbearers were David Brockman, Donald Brockman, Brandon Cox, Doug Cox, Jason Cox and Ralph Edrington.
Honorary pallbearers were Kroger employees.
