Arvil D. Vannoy
LIBERTY -- Arvil Dean "Deanie" Vannoy, 54, of Deanie Vannoy Road, Liberty, died Wednesday at home of natural causes.
Born May 18, 1946, in Casey County, he was a son of Edytha Wethington Vannoy of Nicholasville and the late Arlie Vannoy. He was a farmer and attended Cold Springs Primitive Baptist Church.
Other survivors include a daughter, Miranda Vannoy of Liberty; three brothers, Dale Vannoy of Corbin, Doyle Vannoy of Forrest Park, Ohio, and Gerald Vannoy of Nicholasville; three sisters, Jolene Patterson of Bethel, Ohio, Norman Rose of Lynnwood, Kan., and Goldia Kincaid of Mason, Ohio.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Cold Springs Primitive Baptist Church by Kenny Blevins. Burial will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. Friday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home and after noon Saturday at the church.

Services for Dorothy Westerfield Belcher, 68, of Church Street, Parksville, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Bill Boldt. Burial will be in Parksville Cemetery.
She died Tuesday at her home.

Frances C. Daniel
Services for Frances Cook Daniel, 97, of North Fifth Street will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church by the Rev. Tommy Valentine. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
She died Tuesday at Danville Centre For Health and Rehabilitation.
Born April 12, 1903, in Louisville, she was a daughter of the late Steven J. and Anna Harrell Cook. She was a homemaker and the widow of K.B. Daniel Sr. She was a member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church, an American Red Cross volunteer and a member of Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include a daughter, Jean Cronenberg of Danville; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Dr. K.B. Daniel Jr.; and a grandson.
Pallbearers will be Joe, John, Jim and Jeff Cronenberg, Lee Daniel and David Hester.
Honorary pallbearers are Larry Deal, Jim McFarland and James Logan Harmon.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. Friday at Stith Funeral Home.

Theresa Faye Sullivan, 63, of Gravel Switch died Sunday at Norton Spring View Hospital.
Born June 21, 1937, in Marion County, she was a daughter of the late William W. and Lillian M. Wilkerson Wheeler.
Survivors include her husband, John G. Sullivan of Gravel Switch; a daughter, Tammy Sullivan of Gravel Switch; a son, Gill Sullivan of Gravel Switch; a sister, Alice A. Luckett of Lebanon; a brother, William B. Wheeler of Gravel Switch; and six grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bosley Funeral Home by the Revs. James Bratcher and Jerry Lanham. Burial will be in Hayesville Cemetery.

BEDFORD -- Margaret C. "Happy" Jones, 88, of Bedford, died Sunday in Madison, Ind.
Born April 21, 1912, in Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late James and Lou Parker Ham Jones. She was a homemaker and pianist.
Survivors include a son, Hugh L. Jones of Bedford; four daughters, Lou Ann Abbott of Danville, Helen J. Moore and Margaret A. Andrew, both of Bedford, and Ritchey J. Louden of Campbellsville; three grandchildren; six step grandchildren; and 12 step great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bedford United Methodist Church by the Revs. Harold Henson and Jim Justice. Burial will be in Bedford Cemetery.

Clyde LeFevers
Clyde LeFevers, 71, of Hustonville Road died today at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born April 19, 1929, in Crab Orchard, he was son of the late Milt and Mintie Blanton LeFevers. He was a heavy equipment operator and served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby McDaniel LeFevers; a son, Milton LeFevers of Danville; two daughters, Linda Kerr of Columbia and Mary Katherine Adams of Indianapolis; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Donnie R. LeFevers.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Stith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is after 4 p.m. Sunday.

Dorothy V. Thompson
Dorothy V. Thompson, 78, of Cheryl Lane died Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Sept. 27, 1921, in Ida Grove, Iowa, she was a daughter of Lula Pearl Hewitt Porter of Danville and the late George V. Porter. She was a retired executive secretary for Corning Glass and North American Phillips. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and the widow of Chelsea Wayne Thompson.
Survivors include a grandson, David W .Thompson of Red Stone Arsenal, Ala.; and a granddaughter, Sherri Hebenstreit of Frankfort; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Wayne P. Thompson.
Services will be held in Sioux City, Iowa, with burial in Sioux City Memorial Park.
Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Saturday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home.

STANFORD -- Mary Rebecca Embry, 83, of Stanford died Thursday at Fort Logan Hospital.
Born Nov. 16, 1916, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late William S. and Dolly McRoberts Embry.
She was a retired employee of Lincoln County National Bank, now First Southern National Bank. She was a member of Stanford Christian Church and the Professional Business Women's Club.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Revs. Jim Baughman and Tracey Lea Lawler. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

CRAB ORCHARD -- Mary Elizabeth Petrey McGuire, 90, of East Main Street, Stanford, died Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Aug. 31, 1910, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late James M. and Violetha Murphy Petrey. She was a retired teacher, having taught in Moreland, Broughtontown, Crab Orchard elementary and junior high schools. She was a member of Kings Mountain Nazarene Church. She was named a Distinguished Alumni of Crab Orchard High School and a Kentucky Colonel. She also worked as an emergency medical technician for the Stanford Emergency Medical Service for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Virgil L. McGuire; a daughter, Charlotte Detherage of West Chester, Ohio; a son, James K. McGuire of Lewis Center, Ohio; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at McKnight-Martin Funeral Home by the Rev. Johnny King. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Born Jan. 29, 1913, in Jessamine County, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Belle Brumfield Dean. She was a homemaker and a member of First Christian Church in Danville. She was the widow of Buford Saunders.
