Robert L. Clarkson
Robert L. Clarkson, 70, of Louisville, Ky., died on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville.
He was a native of Monroe County, Ky., and was a retired employee of General Electric after 36 years of service.
Clarkson was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served in the U.S. Army.
He was married
to Margaret Morris Clarkson, who preceded him in death.
Survivors include his children, Thomas L. Clarkson, Joseph B. Clarkson, Melissa Bentley, David A. Clarkson and Steven L. Clarkson; one sister, Buena Trulock; two brothers, Charles Clarkson and Carlos Clarkson; and four grandchildren, Joseph Bentley, Michael Bentley, Shelby Rae Clarkson and Matthew Clarkson.
Funeral was at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 3 at Resthaven Funeral Home in Louisville. Burial was in Resthaven Memorial Park.
Hazel Marie Cox
Hazel Marie Cox, 89, of Jackson Tower in Campbellsville, Ky., died on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2002, at Taylor County Hospital in Campbellsville, after an illness.
Daughter of the late Sam Allen Garrett and Alta Mae Garrett of Marion County, Ky., she was a member of Crescent Hill Separate Baptist Church.
She was married
to Hershel Cox, who preceded her in death in 1974.
Survivors include one son, Ray Cox of Campbellsville; 16 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, three brothers and four sisters, Robert Cox, Curtis Cox, Albert Garrett, Bennie Garrett, Mitchell Garrett, Goldie Gribbins, Ida Mae Tungate, Mary Elizabeth Sapp and Dorothy Cox.
Funeral was at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 20 at Fairview Baptist Church. Burial was in Tallow Creek Cemetery. The Rev. Robert Morris officiated.
Pallbearers were Terry Cox, Curtis Cox Jr., Jammie Morris, Billy Miller, Donnie Bright and Henry Ford.
Carl Hunt
Carl Hunt, 73, of White Rose Road in Campbellsville, Ky., died on Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, at his home.
Son of the late Hulette Hunt and Dionas Hunt, he was born on May 4, 1929 in Taylor County, Ky., and was a member of Mt. Gilboa Baptist Church.
Hunt was a former employee of Carnation Milk Company for 24 years. He was a member of Mystic Tie Masonic Lodge #450 F&AM; for 40 years.
He was married
to Laquita Burress on June 8, 1952. She survives.
Other survivors include one daughter and three sons and their spouses, Judy and Roger Wilson, Larry and JoAnn Hunt, Gary and Tammy Jo Hunt and Greg and Michelle Hunt, all of Campbellsville; eight grandchildren, Dana Barrett of Cave City, and Trena Wilson, Misty Roller, Mandy Hunt, Alex Hunt, Millie Hunt, Andy Hunt and Emily Hunt, all of Campbellsville; two great-grandchildren, Kendall Roller and Brooklyn Roller, both of Campbellsville; and four sisters and four brothers, Sylvia Parrott, Darlene Gilpin, Phyllis Phillips, Coleman Hunt, Shelby Hunt and Terry Hunt, all of Campbellsville, Beverly Duggin of Louisville and Buel Hunt of Augusta, Ga.
Funeral was at 1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 2 at Mt. Gilboa Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Dr. L.D. Kennedy, the Rev. Howard Pryor and the Rev. Fred Miller officiated.
Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Charles Keith Burress, Mike Burress, Rodney Burress, Alex Hunt, Andy Hunt, Stevie Hunt, Stewart Hunt, Tony Hunt, Travis Hunt and Barry Parrott.
Honorary pallbearers were Cary Barrett, Darrell Hunt, Gee Phillips, Kenny Roller and Eddie Sprowles.
Ethel Eloise Judd
Ethel Eloise Judd, 74, of Greensburg, Ky., died on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, at Metzmeier Nursing Home in Campbellsville.
Daughter of the late Coy Judd and Bessie Shuffett Judd, she was born on Aug. 2, 1928 in Jefferson County, Ky., and was a member of Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church.
Judd was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom.
She was married
to William Graham "Rusty" Judd on June 26, 1948. He preceded her in death on Aug. 29, 1997.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter, Barry Judd of Greensburg, Allan Judd of Marietta, Ga., and Connie Ford of Campbellsville; one sister, Vickie Bright of Greensburg; and four grandchildren, John Ford of Campbellsville, Russ Judd of Greensburg, and Andrew Judd and Samuel Judd, both of Marietta, Ga.
Funeral was at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 30 at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg. Burial was in Green County Memory Gardens. Bro. Larry Wilson and Bro. Dee Dowdy officiated.
Pallbearers were Homer Simpson, Glen Bright, Dale Judd, Bill Simpson, Shorty Bloyd and Tim Simpson.
Albert Holtzclaw
Albert Holtzclaw, 72, of Saloma Road in Campbellsville, Ky., died on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002, in Sidney, Ohio.
Son of the late Joshua Holtzclaw and Lula Blair Holtzclaw, he was born on March 2, 1930 in Adair County, Ky., and was a member of Saloma Baptist Church.
Holtzclaw was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served in the U.S. Army.
He was married
to Jewell Copley on Dec. 15, 1956. She preceded him in death on March 7, 1995.
Survivors include two sons, Joey Holtzclaw of Campbellsville and Mark and Rhonda Holtzclaw of Sidney, Ohio; four grandsons, Jeffrey Holtzclaw of Campbellsville, Matthew Holtzclaw, Josh Holtzclaw and Tyler Holtzclaw, all of Sidney, Ohio; and one brother and two sisters, John Holtzclaw and Emma Lou Mings, both of Campbellsville, and Minnie Sublett of Louisville.
Funeral was at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 30 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery. The Rev. John Chowning officiated.
Pallbearers were Duane Copley, Greg Copley, Junior Copley, Wally Copley, Jim Maupin, J.W. Maupin, Eugene Mings and Preston Pyles.
Dean Bunnell
Dean Bunnell, 78, of Bibb Street in Campbellsville, Ky., died on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, in Elizabethtown, Ky.
Son of the late Benjamin Bunnell and Mae Allen Bunnell, he was born on June 3, 1924 in Endwell, N.Y.
Bunnell was a retired tool maker and machinist. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army.
He was married
to Doris Deming on March 2, 1946. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons and their spouses, Douglas and Carol Bunnell of Endicott, N.Y., Donald and Cindy Bunnell of Greensburg and Darrell and Cathy Bunnell of Columbia; six grandchildren, Cassandra Bunnell and Jessica Bunnell, both of Endicott, N.Y., Sarah Bunnell of Greensburg, Amanda Bunnell, Caitlin Bunnell and Ethan Bunnell, all of Columbia; and one brother, Kenway Bunnell of Dunedin, Fla.
The body was cremated. Memorial services will be at a later date.
