Howard Russell
Howard Russell, 79, of Greensburg, Ky., died on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
Son of the late Terry Wood Russell and Ella Pearl Marcum Russell, he was born on Friday, July 13, 1923, in Green County, Ky.
Russell was a mechanic for RL Implement and was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy.
He was married
to Tillie Thompson in June 1940. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Barry Russell, Ben Russell and Gary Dean Russell, all of Greensburg; one daughter, Wanda Beyer of Louisville; two daughters-in-law, Debbie Russell and Beverly Russell, both of Greensburg; two sons-in-law, Robert Beyer of Louisville and Philip Milby of Greensburg; one brother, Ned Russell of Magnolia; one sister, Isabelle Nunn of Louisville; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one son, James H. Russell on June 22, 1943; and two daughters, Dorothy Louise Milby on May 31, 1998, and Roseline Russell on Feb. 21, 1941.
Funeral was at 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 25 at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg. Burial was in Wilson Cemetery with Military Rites. The Rev. Richard Johnson and the Rev. Ivan Jones officiated.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Green County Emergency Management Services and can be made at the funeral home.
Pallbearers were Philip Cox, Randy Sullivan, Buck King, Mark Thompson, Morris Nunn, Donnie Clark, Ricky Penick, W.J. Milby and Jimmy Russell.
Judith Miller
Judith Lou Mitchell Miller, 60, of Livermore, Ky., died on Monday, Feb. 3, 2003, at Owensboro Mercy Hospital in Owensboro, Ky.
Survivors include two sons, Ed Chapman of Ft. Mitchell, Ky., and Guy Allen Chapman Jr. of Pleasant Ridge, Ky.; one daughter, Katrina "Kathy" Rasbold of California; one brother, James Mitchell of Owensboro; four sisters, Julia Sue Mitchell Milby of Greensburg, Ann Mitchell Crenshaw of Florida, Patsy Mitchell Alvy of Owensboro and Betty Mitchell Sosh of Utica, Ky.; eight grandchildren; and three aunts.
Funeral was at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 8 at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro. Burial was in Red Hill Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Judith Miller Memorial Fund.
Danny Jones
Danny Jones, 39, of Brooke Way in Campbellsville, Ky., died on Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, in Campbellsville, due to an illness.
Son of Betty Moore Nelson and the late Jesse Ray Jones, he was born on April 28, 1963 in Marion County, Ky., and was a member of Mt. Washington Baptist Church.
Jones was owner and operator of Jones Roofing.
He was married
to Judy Jeffries on Jan. 4, 1991. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Jessica Lynn Jones and Stephanie Danielle Jones, both of Campbellsville; and one sister and two brothers, Patricia Lanham, Ollie Jones and Brian Nelson, all of Campbellsville.
Funeral was at 1 p.m., Monday, Feb. 3 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Burial was in Benningfield Cemetery in Marion County, Ky. The Rev. Claude Dykes officiated.
Pallbearers were Timmy Jones, Leon Moore, Scotty Moore, Gary Porter, Paul Underwood and Lonnie Whitlock.
Honorary pallbearers were Angie Brady, Tammy Paxton, Ann Russell, Tabitha Russell, Chrissy Washman and Ailene Whitlock.
Reda Ann Thompson
Reda Ann Thompson, 55, of Saloma Road in Campbellsville, Ky., died on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2003, in Campbellsville.
Daughter of William L. Allen and Vernie DeWitt Allen of Campbellsville, she was born on Sept. 14, 1947 in Taylor County, Ky., and was a member of Mt. Washington Baptist Church.
Thompson was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She was married
to Michael Thompson on April 4, 1964. He survives.
Besides her parents and husband, Thompson is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Ricky Yates of Campbellsville; and two grandsons, Marcus Ryan Wethington and Troy Alan Wethington, both of Campbellsville.
Funeral was at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 1 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Burial was in Mt. Washington Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Donnie Blick and Bro. Jimmy York officiated.

Charles Thomas Chaney, 82
Charles Thomas Chaney, 82, of Louisville, Ky., died on Monday, Feb. 2, 2004, at Caritas Medical Center in Louisville.
A member of Beechwood Baptist Church, he was a native of Green County, Ky., and was a retired machinist for the Naval Ordnance Co. Chaney was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Army.
Survivors include one son, Tommy Chaney; and one granddaughter, Tracy Chaney.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 6 at J.E. Ratterman & Son Funeral Home on Southside Drive in Louisville. Burial will be in Louisville Memorial Gardens-West.
Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 5 and after 10 a.m. on Friday.
George A. Gunsaules Jr., 52
George A. Gunsaules Jr., 52, of Mannsville, Ky., died on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004, in Liberty, Ky., after a long illness.
Son of Edna Lawrence Gunsaules of Mannsville and the late George A. Gunsaules Sr., he was born on Nov. 8, 1951 in Plainfield, N.J.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one brother, Phil Gunsaules of Mannsville.
The body was cremated.
Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville was in charge of arrangements.
Linda Dicken, 60
Linda Dicken, 60, of Louisa, Ky., formerly of Campbellsville, Ky., died on Monday, Jan. 12, 2004, in Louisa.
Daughter of the late Jimmie Dicken and Edith Hendrickson Dicken, she was born on Dec. 26, 1943 in Taylor County, Ky. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by one brother, two sisters and their spouses, James E. and Betty Dicken of Greensburg, Pauline Brown of Franklin, Ind., and Doris and Glenn Smith of Campbellsville.
Funeral services are Friday, Jan. 16, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville with the Revs. Ron Ferree and Paul J. Dicken officiating. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery.
Pallbearers are David Dicken, Larry Dicken, Mark Dicken, Ronnie Dicken, Gary Smith and Walter Smith.
