Aiden Constant, Infant
Aiden Constant, 9 months, died on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004, at Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
Son of Justin B. Constant and Brenda G. Durrett Milby of Greensburg, Ky., he was born on April 21, 2003, in Louisville.
Besides his parents, he is survived by three brothers and one sister, Blake Milby, Clay Milby, Hunter Milby and Lyric Milby, all of Greensburg; his grandparents, Linda Durrett of Greensburg and Billy Durrett and Patricia Hodges, both of Bowling Green; and several aunts and uncles, Parker and Tara Lyle of Tupelo, Miss., Jerry Constant of Bowling Green, Ky., Scotty and Brenna Durrett of Magnolia, Ky., and Michael and Jessie Durrett of Louisville.
Graveside service was at noon on Tuesday, Feb. 3 at Wilson Cemetery, with burial to follow. The Rev. Stan Milby officiated.
Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg was in charge of arrangements.
Charles Thomas Chaney, 82
Charles Thomas Chaney, 82, of Louisville, Ky., died on Monday, Feb. 2, 2004, at Caritas Medical Center in Louisville.
A member of Beechwood Baptist Church, he was a native of Green County, Ky., and was a retired machinist for the Naval Ordnance Co. Chaney was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Army.
Survivors include one son, Tommy Chaney; and one granddaughter, Tracy Chaney.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 6 at J.E. Ratterman & Son Funeral Home on Southside Drive in Louisville. Burial will be in Louisville Memorial Gardens-West.
Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 5 and after 10 a.m. on Friday.
Boyce Dale McKinney, 81
Boyce Dale McKinney, 81, of Green County, Ky., died on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, in Louisville, Ky., at Mt. Holly Nursing Home.
Son of the late Aubrey McKinney and Audrey Kidd McKinney, he was born on Sunday, Jan. 14, 1923, in Green County.
He was a member of Farmdale Baptist Church and was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Army Air Force. He was a member of the Philip Swigert Masonic Lodge in Fisherville, Ky., and retired from General Electric in Louisville after 29 years.
He was married
to Anna Kathryne Tucker on Dec. 22, 1949. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and John Archer of Louisville; one son and daughter-in-law, Boyce Dale Jr. and Darlene McKinney of Lebanon Junction, Ky.; two brothers, Bobby McKinney of Green County and Dennis McKinney of Louisville; two sisters, Donna Roberts of Jabez, Ky., and Denna Metzroth of Louisville; four grandchildren, Heather Schutte and her husband Greg, Craig Archer and Melanie Jamison and her husband Gary, all of Louisville, and Christopher McKinney of Lebanon Junction; and two great-grandchildren, Brittany Jamison and Grace Jamison, both of Louisville.
He was also proceeded in death by one brother, Doyle McKinney.
Funeral was on Monday, Feb. 9 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg, Ky. Burial was in the Liletown Cemetery with military rites conducted.
The Rev. Doug Strader officiated.
Pallbearers were Wayne Allen, Lonnie Judd, Claude Powell, Marvin Sparks, A.D. Judd and Harold Foreman.
Robert P. Spires, 85
Robert P. Spires, 85, of Columbia, Ky., died on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, at Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia.
Son of the late Ancil Harrison and Martha Elizabeth Mings Spires, he was born on July 17, 1918 in Spout Springs in Adair County, Ky.
He was a member of Columbia Christian Church, a retired farmer, co-owner with his wife of the Country Corner in the Garlin Community for 19 years and a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Army.
He was married
to Louise Knifley Spires for 57 years. She survives.
Other survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Robert W. and Susan Spires of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Gayle Blair of Columbia, Nancy and Bailey Norris of Bowling Green, Ky., and Carla and Jeff Hargus of Lexington, Ky.; two brothers, Joe Spires of Edmonton, Ky., and Junior B. Spires of Columbia; three sisters, Imogene Giles of Knifley, Ky., Beatrice Phipps and Frances Hancock, both of Kokomo, Ind.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one son-in-law, Fred Blair on Jan. 30, 2001; three bothers and one sister, Ivan Spires, Clifton Spires, William Spires and Lillian Burton.
Funeral was on Saturday, Feb. 7 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia. Bro. Raymond Martin officiated. Interment was in Haven Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Donnie Spires, Tommy Spires, Steve Spires, Wendell Spires, Kevin Spires, Kenny Quinn, Randy Quinn and Jerry Giles.
Floyd T. Hensley Jr., 78
Floyd T. Hensley Jr., 78, of Old Lebanon Road in Campbellsville, Ky., died on Monday, Jan. 12, 2004, in Campbellsville.
Son of the late Floyd T. Hensley Sr. and Grace Dilley Hensley, he was born May 22, 1925 in Hart County, Ky., and was a member of Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He served as both an elder and a Sunday School teacher at the church.
He was moderator of the General Assembly of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church from June 1991 to June 1992. He was a former vice president and chair of the board at Taylor County Bank.
He was a 50-year member of the Rio Verde Masonic Lodge No. 698 F & A.M. in Canmer, Ky., and a 50-year member of Campbellsville Lions Club. He was a charter member of Taylor Regional Hospital's board of directors and had served on the board of trustees at Bethel College. He was a member of the Denominational Board of Finance and a former agriculture teacher at Taylor County High School. He was a member of the Soil Conservation Board and was active in fund-raising for the Boy Scouts of America.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the United States Army.
He was married
to Alta Adams Hensley on Sept. 10, 1947. She survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one brother, two sisters and their spouses, Eldon and Gloria Hensley of Horse Cave, Ky., Rowena and Roy Hines of Nashville, Tenn., and Grace and Bob Counts of Englewood, Fla.
Funeral services are at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 15 at the Parrot & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Revs. Ron Ferree, Wayne Brooks and Joe Jones will officiate.
Burial will be in Horse Cave Cemetery.
Pallbearers are William Bault, Ken Bean, Sam Hayes Jr., Morris Horn, Jim Miller Jr., Russell Montgomery, Hugh Moss, Bill Vaughn, Jack Whitley and Murrell Young.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Marvin Beauchamp, 84
Marvin Beauchamp, 84, of Green County, Ky., died on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2004, at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg, Ky.
Son of the late Harvey and Maggie Warren Beauchamp, he was born on Friday, March 28, 1919, in Green County. A member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, he was a farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Wyladean Thompson, whom he married
on Jan. 24, 1942.
He is also survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Alma Jean and Ivan Warren of Shepherdsville, Ky., Judell and Jim Wright of Greensburg and Rita and Denny Hedgespeth of Campbellsville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Sharon Beauchamp and Harvey Wayne and Barbara Beauchamp, all of Greensburg; a sister, Ella Kurgier of Louisville, Ky.; seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren; and a special brother-in-law, Ezra Sweeney of Greensburg.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Deanna Gay Wright and Angela Denise Warren; three sisters, Gertie Mae Graham, Ethel Milby and Edith Sweeny; and four brothers, Johnny Beauchamp, Grady Beauchamp, Ira Beauchamp and Arvin Beauchamp.
Funeral is Wednesday, Jan. 28 at 2 p.m. at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home. Burial is in Green County Memorial Gardens. The Revs. Allen Durrett and Danny Nelson will officiate.
Pallbearers are Ricky Warren, Kris Clark, Travis Wright, Junior Wright, Eric Beauchamp and Jackie Pierce.
Honorary pallbearers are Kenneth Wright, Justin Milby, Bill Wright, Gary Vaughn, Chester Valentine and Jason Vaughn.
