Dorothy Searcy Morgan, 76

Dorothy Searcy Morgan, 76, of Greensburg, Ky., died on Monday, April 19, 2004, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, Ky.

Daughter of the late Arch Searcy and Bessie Coulter Searcy, she was born on Friday, Dec. 23, 1927, in Oldham County, Ky.

She was a member of Stone Street Baptist Church in Louisville and was a homemaker.

She was married to Raymond Morgan on July 22, 1946. He preceded her in death on Oct. 16, 1996.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Roger Reece of Glasgow, Ky.; four sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Faye Morgan, Ronnie and Thelma Morgan, Gregory and Tammy Morgan and Todd and Judy Morgan, all of Greensburg; two sons-in law, Barry Jeffries of Pierce, Ky., and Johnson Franklin of Greensburg; one half-sister, Bonnie Spaulding of Germany; 11 grandchildren, Bradley Morgan, Wayne Morgan, Tanya Russell, Tony Jeffries, Terry Morgan, Alan Morgan, Ashley Patterson, Jonathan Morgan, Robyn Morgan and Jeremy Morgan, all of Green County, and Kim Bunch of Glasgow; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by three daughters, Carol Jeffries, Fredia Franklin and Lana Sherl Morgan; one son, Bruce Wayne Morgan; one brother, William "Buddy" Searcy; and two sisters, Beulah Keith and Evelyn Doty.

Funeral was on Friday, April 23 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg. Burial was in the Greasy Creek Cemetery. Bro. Adam Pruitt officiated.

Pallbearers were Marty Russell, Michael Bunch, Alan Morgan, Robyn Morgan, Bradley Morgan, Tony Jeffries, Jeremy Morgan, Jeremy Patterson, Wayne Morgan, Terry Morgan and Jonathan Morgan.

Hearl Callahan, 71

Hearl Callahan, 71, of Feathersburg Road in Elkhorn, Ky., died on Monday, April 19, 2004, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville after an illness.

Son of the late Henry Coy Callahan and Eva Wise Callahan, he was a member of the Church of God and was a farmer.

Survivors include three brothers and three sisters, Eddie Callahan of Knifley, Ky., Eugene Callahan of Elkhorn, Coy Callahan of Finley, Ky., Margaret Stultz of Campbellsville, Virginia Ewing of Indiana and Mattie Belle Callahan of Cynthiana, Ky.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, David Callahan.

Funeral was on Wednesday, April 21 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Callahan Cemetery. Bro. Darrell Ford officiated.

Pallbearers were Ricky Ford Jr., Adam Lawless, David Kalman, Larry Clements, Jeremy Carter and Brian Clements.

Mildred J. Toohey, 79

Mildred J. Toohey, 79, of Louisville, Ky., died on Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville.

A native Taylor County, Ky., she was the former Mildred Johns, a former machinist for Henry Vogt Company and a member of Epiphany United Methodist Church.

She was married to Ray Toohey, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sisters, Evelyn Smith and Frances Newton; one sister-in-law, Anna Lee Johns; one brother-in-law, Johnnie Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy Johns and Garnett Johns.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 29 at Nunnelley Funeral Home in Louisville. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville.

Patricia Ann Ray Cook, 45

Patricia Ann Ray Cook, 45, of Green County, Ky., formerly of Taylor County, Ky., died on Tuesday, April 20, 2004.

Daughter of Twymon Dean Ray of Greensburg, Ky., and the late Anna M. Graham Ray Martin, she was born on Sept. 29, 1958 in Taylor County.

Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Amy Beth Cook of Campbellsville and Sara Ann Cook-Sluder and Troy Sluder of Greensburg; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Terri Lynn Jones of Glasgow, Ky., and Connie and Rodney Robertson of Greensburg; one brother and sister-in-law, Buddy and Paula Ray of Willisburg, Ky.; and two grandchildren, William Alec Sluder and Braeden Chase Sluder, both of Greensburg.

Funeral was on Saturday, April 24, 2004, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg. Sister Anna Overstreet officiated.

Pallbearers were William Clay Jones, Daniel Jason Jones, Johnathan Wayne Jones, Anthony Blake Robertson, Arvin Ray and Larry Ray.

Honorary pallbearers were Michelle Isaac, William Alen Sluder, Brandon Clayton Robertson, Braeden Chase Sluder, Levi Ray and Kenny Ray.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the family fund, which can be made at the funeral home.

Bernice Mae Brockman, 89

Bernice Mae Brockman, 89, of Lebanon, Ky., died on Sunday, April 25, 2004, at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon.

She was born in Marion County, Ky., on May 21, 1914 and was a housewife.

She was married to James Earl Brockman, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include one son, Randall Brockman of Campbellsville; two brothers, Edgar Hardesty of Bradfordsville, Ky., and Robert Hardesty of Louisville, Ky.; five daughters, Arlene Mullins of Lebanon, Marcelene Sapp and Connie Livers, both of Finley, Ky., Faye Porter and Jean Barnett, both of Campbellsville; one sister, Lucy Benningfield of Finley, Ky.; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Glenn Brockman; two sisters, Nell Rakes and Pauline Veatch; and two grandchildren, Glenda Brockman and Gregory Allan Farmer.

Funeral was on Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church. Burial was in New Market Cemetery. Brother Vic Stansbury officiated.

Pallbearers were Todd Brockman, Scott Brockman, Chris Brockman, Ronnie Farmer, Brian Livers and Brad Barnett.

Memorial donations can be in the form of Gideon Bibles.

Campbell DeWitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Anthony 'Tony' D. Beard, 35,

Anthony "Tony" D. Beard, 35, of Orlando, Fla., died on Sunday, April 25, 2004, at his home.

Son of Morris D. and Nona F. Cox Beard of Campbellsville, Ky., he was born on Jan. 29, 1969, in Medina, Ohio.

A graduate of Ohio State, Beard was working on his private pilot's license. He was the owner and operator of a commercial cleaning business.

Besides his parents, Beard is survived by two brothers and one sister-in-law, Aaron D. and Arlene Beard of Rittman, Ohio, and Shawn D. Beard of Campbellsville; one sister and brother-in-law, Tanya D. and Joseph Algee of Geneva, Fla.; and his fianc/e, Monica P. Albertoni of Orlando, Fla.

Visitation and funeral were Thursday, April 29, 2004, at Allen J. Harden Funeral Home in Mount Dora, Fla.
