Fred Louis Miller Sr.
Fred Louis Miller Sr., 77, of Blue Hole Road in Campbellsville, Ky., died at 8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 29, 2004, in Hodgenville, Ky.
Son of the late Fred Joseph Miller and Ethel Hahn Miller, he was born in New Port Richey, Fla., on Jan. 16, 1927. He was a member of St. Adain's Episcopal Church, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, retired pharmacist and minister.
He was married
to Virginia Miller of Michigan Center, Mich. She survives.
Survivors also include one daughter and son-in-law, Karen and William Burke of Sarasota, Fla.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Lois Miller of Virginia Beach, Va., and the Rev. Fred "K.J." and Renee Miller of Campbellsville, Ky.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Funeral was Thursday, Sept. 2 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Revs. Fred Miller Jr. and Michael Goodwin officiated. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Barry Blevins, Darrell Hunt, Greg Hunt, Bob Netherland, George M. Phillips and Eddie Sprowles.
Honorary pallbearers were Gary Hunt, Larry Hunt and Roy Pritchard.

Ruby Plummer 'Sis' Lusk, 85
Ruby Plummer "Sis" Lusk, 85, of Paris, Ky., died on Sunday, Aug. 29, 2004, at St. Joseph Hospital Hospice Care Center in Lexington, Ky.
Daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. A.B. Plummer, she was born on Jan. 7, 1919 in Bourbon County, Ky. She was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Millersburg Garden Club, Bourbon Unit #30 American Legion Auxiliary and was the owner of the Dr. A.B. Plummer Products Co., Inc.
She was married
to Karl K. Lusk Sr., who survives.
Survivors also include one son and daughter-in-law, Karl K. Jr. and Anne Lusk of New Haven, Ky.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one step-grandson; and four step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Arthur Wayne Plummer.
Funeral was Wednesday, Sept. 1 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Paris. The Rev. Michael E. Carlisle officiated. Burial was in Paris Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Capital Fund of St. Peter's Episcopal Church or to the Hospice of the Bluegrass.
Addis Davis, 97
Addis Davis, 97, of Green County, Ky., died on Sunday, Aug. 29, 2004, at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg, Ky.
Daughter of the late Robert Lewis Davis and Mary Frances Kessler Davis, she was born in Green County on Sept. 7, 1906. She was a member of Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church of the Nolynn Association and a homemaker.
She married
Ulys "Bill" Davis on Feb. 5, 1933. He preceded her in death on June 21, 1977.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Marion Davis and Jim Hill of Green County; one step-son and his spouse, Chester Gordon and Hazel Davis of Louisville, Ky.; two grandchildren and their spouses, Nick and Mary Jo Hazel of Campbellsville, Ky., and Marti Hazel and Tom Runnels of Louisville, Ky.; three great-grandchildren, Matthew Hazel, Justin Hazel and Carlie Hazel, all of Campbellsville; three step-grandchildren, Rex Davis, Randy Davis and Betty Davis Rich, all of Louisville; eight step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild; and a special niece and her spouse, Gwen Davis and Bob Horstman of Louisville.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one step-grandchild, Ricky Davis.
Funeral was Wednesday, Sept. 1 at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg. The Rev. Larry Wisdom officiated. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bob Horstman, Mike Judd, J.R. Bishop, Randy Mays, Jake Davis, Garnett Wayne Davis and Fats Coffey.

Cleo Corbin, 69, of Liberty, Ky., died on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004, at Glasgow Health and Rehab Center after an illness.
She was the daughter of the late Willard and Cleo Denton Corbin.
Survivors include five sons and one daughter-in-law, Ray Stapleton, Greg Stapleton and Erik and Crystal Stapleton, all of Columbia, Ky., Michael Stapleton of El Paso, Texas, and Jack Stapleton of Glasgow, Ky.; five daughters and three sons-in-law, Joetta and Daryl Fletcher, Barbara and Russ McGaha, Wilma Stapleton and Cindy Bradshaw, all of Columbia, and Shelia and Jerry Hodges of Tompkinsville, Ky.; 24 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; four sisters, Inez Miller of Indiana, Irene Sunner of Illinois, Dencie Hovious of Mount Washington, Ky., and Virginia Bottoms of Campbellsville, Ky.; and two special friends, Willie Richerson of Liberty and Irene Duncan of Columbia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Bryan Stapleton; one daughter, Sandra Stapleton; three brothers, Bill Corbin, James Corbin and Eddie Corbin; and three sisters, Frances Moore, Wilma Bell and Nancy Burton.
Funeral was Tuesday, Aug. 31 at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel in Columbia. Sam Soler officiated. Burial was in Bear Wallow Cemetery.

Velma Shofner, 79, of Sprowles Ridge Road in Campbellsville, Ky., died at 1:55 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004, in Campbellsville.
Daughter of the late Dee Underwood and Nora Jones Underwood, she was born in LaRue County, Ky., on May 18, 1925, and was a member of Zion Separate Baptist Church.
She married
John B. Shofner on Feb. 14, 1946. He preceded her in death on Aug. 13, 1979.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Maxine and Garnett Durham and Helen and Larry Sprowles, all of Campbellsville; one son and daughter-in-law, J.C. and Juanita Shofner of Campbellsville; six grandchildren, Robin Brussell of Elizabethtown, Ky., Tracy Cambron, James Sprowles, Barry Sprowles and Johnny Durham, all of Campbellsville, and Tammy Carter of Stanford, Ky.; three great-grandchildren, Peyton Cambron, Emily Sprowles and Katelyn Carter; two sisters, Mae Murphy of Louisville, Ky., and Annie Allen of Hodgenville, Ky.; and two brothers, William Eugene Underwood of Hodgenville and John Underwood of Greensburg, Ky.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Gilbert Underwood, Brown Underwood, Lee Underwood and Tom Underwood; and one sister, Betty Jane Underwood.

Cleoda 'Dodie' Durham, 61
Cleoda "Dodie" Durham, 61, of Fallen Timber Road in Campbellsville, Ky., died on Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville after an illness.
Son of Alberta Williams Durham of Campbellsville and the late Albert Durham, he was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church and the United States Armed Forces, having served with the United States Army. He was also an employee of Fruit of the Loom for 12 years, having worked in the knitting department.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Janet Chanelle and Godfrey Jackson of Campbellsville; one son, David Craig Durham of Louisville, Ky.; one grandson, Jeremiah Jackson of Campbellsville; one brother and sister-in-law, Sule and Joan Durham of Santa Cruz, Calif.; and three sisters and one brother-in-law, Mable and Ken Fisher, Anna Margaret Durham and Mary Durham, all of Campbellsville.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Grissette.
Funeral was Sunday, Aug. 22 at Pleasant Union Baptist Church. The Rev. Michael Caldwell officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Union Church Cemetery.
