Marshall Hovious, 78
Marshall Hovious, 78, of Campbellsville, Ky., formerly of Knifley, Ky., died on Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at Veterans Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
Son of the late Benjamin V. and Myrtie Hovious of Adair County, Ky., he was a veteran of World War II and a member of Christie Chapel United Methodist Church, where he served as a song leader and Sunday School superintendent for many years.
He was married
to Maudye A. Feese Hovious, who survives.
Survivors also include two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Charlotte Hovious and Phillip and Sharon Hovious, all of Elkhorn; one daughter and son-in-law, Marsha Ann and Alvin Humphress of Elkhorn; one sister, Gladys Overstreet of Campbellsville; five grandchildren, Monica Hovious, Brandon Hovious, Tyler Hovious, Amy Bardin and her husband Chad, and Amanda Humphress; and one great-grandchild, Kylee Bardin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Troy Hovious and Buel Hovious; two half brothers, Jack Hovious and Mont Hovious; one half sister, Annie Holt; and one grandchild, Stephanie Hovious.
Funeral was Wednesday, Nov. 10 at Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Revs. Paul Simpson and Clarence Bertram officiated. Burial was in Humphress-Hovious Cemetery in Knifley with full military honors by the Marion County DAV.
Pallbearers were Tyler Hovious, Mike Hovious, Terry Overstreet, Mickey Feese, David Hovious, Kelly White, Steven White and Todd Humphress.
Honorary Pallbearers were Chad Bardin, James Feese, Mike Brown, Bryon Tucker and Eric Feese.
Eula 'Bootsie' Ellis, 90
Eula "Bootsie" Ellis, 90, of South Central Avenue in Campbellsville, Ky., died at 5 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, in Campbellsville.
Daughter of the late Fred Wright and Maggie Phillips Wright, she was born in Taylor County on June 15, 1914. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
She married
Paul R. Ellis on Dec. 24, 1941. He preceded her in death on Feb. 16, 1997.
Survivors include one son, Tim W. Ellis and his fianc/, Wanda Tucker, of Campbellsville; one grandson, Tim Ellis Jr. of Louisiana; one brother-in-law, Reed St. Clair of Campbellsville; and one sister-in-law, Mae Brock of Louisiana.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Ora Mae St. Clair on Dec. 6, 1998; and one brother, Rosby "Jack" Wright on July 6, 1987.
Funeral was Thursday, Nov. 11 at Parrott and Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Rev. Gene Weddle officiated. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Mark Oakes, Allen Pike, Roger St. Clair, Milton Williams, Fred Wright and John Wright.
Anna Mae Adams Phillips, 60
Anna Mae Adams Phillips, 60, of LaPorte, Texas, formerly of Campbellsville, died on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004, in LaPorte.
She was married
to Charlie Phillips, who survives.
Survivors also include one daughter, Alana Phillips of LaPorte; one son, Chris Phillips of LaPorte; her mother, Mozelle Adams Hogan of Campbellsville; two sisters, Tilda Lamb of Louisville, Ky., and Joyce Dearen of Campbellsville; two brothers, James Hogan and Arthur Douglas Hogan, both of Campbellsville; one uncle, Dr. L.R. McDonald and his wife, Margaret, of Campbellsville; and one aunt, Helen Hogg of Glasgow, Ky.
Funeral was Saturday, Nov. 13 at Bayshore Baptist Church in Pasedena, Texas. Burial was in Bayshore Baptist Church Cemetery.
Marian T. Durham, 100
Marian T. Durham, 100, of Green County, Ky., died on Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at Green Hill Manor Nursing Home in Greensburg, Ky.
Daughter of the late of George R. Tucker and Florence Higgason Tucker, she was born in Green County on Oct. 7, 1904. She was the oldest member of Greensburg Baptist Church, a member of American Legion Auxiliary, a former cook for Greensburg Rotary Club, a Paul Harris Fellow, a former president of Kentucky Republican Women's Club and a homemaker.
She married
Hardin K. Durham in December 1922. He preceded her in death on Dec. 8, 1979.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Henry Hall of Greensburg; two daughters-in-law, Sarah Durham and Dee Durham, both of Greensburg; two sisters, Virginia McMahan of Greensburg and Margery Burress of Frankfort, Ky.; one brother-in-law, John T. Durham Jr. of Campbellsville; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and four step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Gordon Kelly Durham and Hardin Hoagland "Ike" Durham; one brother, Ralph Tucker; and four sisters, Alice Blakeman, Maxine Marshall, Pauline Lea and Eva Cheatham.
Funeral was Thursday, Nov. 11 at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg. The Rev. Mike Akridge officiated. Burial was in Greensburg Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Todd Hall, Richie Kessler, Matt Mills, Mark Durham, David Hudgins, Clint Durham, Mike Mills, Ralph Cook, Tom Durham and John K. Durham.
Lisabeth Ann Pruitt, 41
Lisabeth Ann Pruitt, 41, of Louisville, Ky., died on Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at her home.
Daughter of Delores Pruitt of Campbellsville and G. Rayburn Pruitt of Troy, Ohio, she was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy and University of Louisville and was a teacher. A community activist, she was a recipient of the Louisville Bell Award.
Survivors also include one sister, Kelly Hinderman of Troy; two brothers, George Pruitt of Japan and Christopher Pruitt of Belgium; two half-sisters, McKenzie Pruitt and Meredith Pruitt, both of Troy; and her grandparents, Margaret and Ray Skaggs of Campbellsville.
Funeral was Thursday, Nov. 11 at Calvary Cemetery in Louisville.

Melvin Ray Underwood, 72
Melvin Ray Underwood, 72, of Old Mac Road in Campbellsville died on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004, in Campbellsville.
Son of the late Bennie Underwood and Lula Bloyd Underwood, he was born in Taylor County on June 22, 1932. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, a retired farmer and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He married
Gay Karnes on Oct. 9, 1959. She survives.
Survivors also include one son and daughter-in-law, Douglas Ray and Darrelyn Underwood of Campbellsville; one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Ann and Bobby Kirtley of Campbellsville; four grandchildren, Ashley Kirtley, LeAnna Kirtley, Megan Underwood and Ryan Underwood, all of Campbellsville; and one brother and sister-in-law, Syndal and Edith Underwood of Campbellsville.
Funeral was Saturday, Nov. 13 at Parrott and Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Rev. Michael Goodwin officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery.

Frank W. Moore, 73
Frank W. Moore, 73, of Stone, Ky., died on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2004, at Appalachian Regional Hospital in South Williamson, Ky.
Son of the late Richard Moore and Lillie Gertrude Moore, he was born in Pike County, Ky., on Jan. 7, 1931. He was a retired factory worker for Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. He attended the Belfry Senior Citizen Center and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include one daughter, Denise Moore of Campbellsville; two stepsons, Roger Moore of Campbellsville and Russell Wood of Louisville, Ky.; two stepdaughters, Terry Rooker of Campbellsville and Tina Gowen of Leitchville, Ky.; two brothers, Glennis Moore of McAndrews, Ky., and Alton Lee Moore of Michigan; and one sister, June Zatkoff of Farmington, Mich.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma Opal Moore and Delta Parrigin.
Funeral was Sunday, Oct. 31 at Rogers Funeral Home. Sid Copley officiated. Burial was in Moore Cemetery in Damrontown, Ky. DAV rites were performed by Belfry Chapter #141 DAV.
Honorary pallbearers were Buster Varney, Alfred Parrigin and Bill Church.
