Mary Faye Gilpin Pendleton, 65
Mary Faye Gilpin Pendleton, 65, of Columbia, Ky., died at 12:40 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky., after several weeks' illness.
Daughter of the late Walter Edgar and Nancy Jane Roy Gilpin of Casey County, Ky., she was a longtime financial officer for the Lake Cumberland Area Head Start and attended Bearwallow United Methodist Church.
She was married
to Huston Pendleton of Columbia, who survives.
Other survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Lucinda "Cindy" Weddle and Karl P. Moore III of Burlington, Ky.; two sons and daughters-in-law, John Huston Lesley Young Pendleton of Berkeley Lake, Ga., and Stacy S. and Donna H. Pendleton of Crestwood, Ky.; one brother, Gerald P. Gilpin of Liberty, Ky.; three sisters, Icy Beryl Anderson and Iola Pearl Atwood, both of Mt. Orab, Ohio, and Iva Rose Wilkerson Burton of Campbellsville; three grandchildren, Tabitha Dawn Taylor, Caleb Huston Pendleton and Mary Parker "Molly" Pendleton.
She was preceded in death by six brothers, Ralph Jasper Gilpin, Glenn Gilpin, Roy Roberts Gilpin, Chester B. Gilpin, Thomas Lee Gilpin and Ira Joe Gilpin.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17 at Bearwallow United Methodist Church in Columbia. The Revs. Troy Long and Richard Lehman will officiate. Burial will be in the Bearwallow Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy can take the form of a donation to the Bearwallow Cemetery Fund.

Marshall Hovious 78
Marshall Hovious, 78, of Campbellsville, Ky., formerly of Knifley, Ky., died on Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at Veterans Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
Son of the late Benjamin V. and Myrtie Hovious of Adair County, Ky., he was a veteran of World War II and a member of Christie Chapel United Methodist Church, where he served as a song leader and Sunday School superintendent for many years.
He was married
to Maudye A. Feese Hovious, who survives.
Survivors also include two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Charlotte Hovious and Phillip and Sharon Hovious, all of Elkhorn; one daughter and son-in-law, Marsha Ann and Alvin Humphress of Elkhorn; one sister, Gladys Overstreet of Campbellsville; five grandchildren, Monica Hovious, Brandon Hovious, Tyler Hovious, Amy Bardin and her husband Chad, and Amanda Humphress; and one great-grandchild, Kylee Bardin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Troy Hovious and Buel Hovious; two half brothers, Jack Hovious and Mont Hovious; one half sister, Annie Holt; and one grandchild, Stephanie Hovious.
Funeral was Wednesday, Nov. 10 at Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Revs. Paul Simpson and Clarence Bertram officiated. Burial was in Humphress-Hovious Cemetery in Knifley with full military honors by the Marion County DAV.
Pallbearers were Tyler Hovious, Mike Hovious, Terry Overstreet, Mickey Feese, David Hovious, Kelly White, Steven White and Todd Humphress.
Honorary Pallbearers were Chad Bardin, James Feese, Mike Brown, Bryon Tucker and Eric Feese.
David Speer, 62
David Speer, 62, of Columbia, Ky., died at 1:19 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004, at the Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room in Columbia.
Son of Clarence Logan Speer and the late Cleo Steelman Speer, he was a member of Columbia Baptist Church, a former construction worker, a greens keeper at Pinewood Country Club and a race car driver for 25 years.
He was married
to Brenda McMahan Speer of Columbia, who survives.
Other survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, James David Speer II and Mark Allen and Latricia Speer, all of Campbellsville, and John Daniel and Tonya Speer of Columbia; one daughter, Sarah Jane Cash of Campbellsville; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Billy Speer of Florida, Bob and Vera Speer of Oklahoma and Don and Sue Speer of Bowling Green, Ky.; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Betty and Bob Matthews of Oklahoma, Sharon and Billy "Bear" Reese of Campbellsville and Joy Bryant of Florida; four grandchildren, Allen Ford, Justin Ford, Brittany Speer and Mathew Speer; and his mother-in-law, Margaret McMahan of Campbellsville.
Funeral was on Friday, Nov. 19 at Grissom Funeral Home in Columbia. The Rev. Randy Johnson and the Rev. Stanley Watson officiated. Burial was in Haven Hill Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Darrell Overstreet, Murray Scott, Larry Lee, Gerald Newton, Fats Coffey and Toots Cox.
Fred R. Goff, 91
Fred R. Goff, 91, of Louisville, Ky., died on Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at his home.
Son of the late Owen Goff and Euna Jeffries Goff, he was born in Green County, Ky. on Sept. 27, 1913. He was an Army Air Corp veteran of World War II, a retired repairman for Ford Motor Company, a co-founder of Okolona Little League and a member of Okolona VFW, Masonic Lodge and Order of the Eastern Star.
He was married
to Katherine Goff, who preceded him in death.
Survivors include three sons, Ned Goff of Louisville, Ted Goff of Daytona, Fla., and Bryan Goff of Atlanta, Ga.; one brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Polly Goff of Greensburg; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ray Goff and Ned Goff; and one sister, Mattie Jane Mays.
Funeral was Monday, Nov. 15 at Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Home in Louisville. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg was in charge of local arrangements.
Robert L. 'Bobby' Druin, 76
Robert L. "Bobby" Druin, 76, of Bell Avenue in Campbellsville died at 6:40 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004, in Campbellsville.
Son of the late Charlie R. Druin and Venie R. Franklin Druin, he was born in Taylor County on April 5, 1928 and was of the Baptist faith.
He married
Nancy A. Close on May 7, 1952. She survives.
Survivors also include one daughter, Betty Moyers of Campbellsville; one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Kathy Druin of Greensburg, Ky.; four grandchildren, Allen Moyers and his wife, Tammy, of Campbellsville, Erin Druin of Lexington, Ky., and Jordan Druin and Keaton Druin, both of Greensburg; two great-grandchildren, Casey Marple and Michael Moyers, both of Campbellsville; one brother, Lanny Druin of Campbellsville; and one sister, Freida Anderson of Campbellsville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Audrey Weatherford.
Funeral was Monday, Nov. 22 at Parrott and Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Rev. Jim Durham officiated. Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Dennis Benningfield, Larry Benningfield, Jeffrey Druin, Allen Moyers, Russ Noe and Wendell Warren.
Honorary pallbearers were Jordan Druin, Keaton Druin and Casey Marple.

William 'Zeak' Sapp, 73
William "Zeak" Sapp, 73, of Bowman Street in Campbellsville died at 4:25 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004 in Campbellsville.
Son of the late Yancy Sapp and Nora Crews Sapp, he was born in Taylor County on March 20, 1931. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, a retired Fruit of the Loom employee and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He married
Laverne Clark on May 11, 1968. She survives.
Survivors also include five sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Tuttie Clark, Danny and Shelby Clark, Greg and Kathy Clark and Steve and Stacey Sapp, all of Campbellsville, and Leslie and Lois Sapp of Columbia, Ky.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Marsha and Michael Gribbins of Campbellsville and Patricia Huddleston of Columbia; seven grandchildren, Jessica Harvey of Columbia and Beth Clark, Holly Clark Wood, Christopher Sapp, Justin Gribbins, Daniel Clark and Jacob Clark, all of Campbellsville; one great-granddaughter, Graci Wood of Campbellsville; five brothers, Thurman Sapp of California, Larry Read of Greensburg, Ky., and Benny Read, Bobby Read and John Read, all of Campbellsville; and six sisters, Evelyn Read of Edmonton, Ky., and Deloris Jeffries, Linda Smith, Edna Read, Rosie Read and Josie Osborne, all of Campbellsville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Omer Sapp, John R. Sapp, the Rev. Gilbert Sapp, Lonza Sapp and Sam Sapp; and two sisters, Mary Wright and Annie Puryear.
Funeral was Saturday, Nov. 20 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. President Dean Cooper officiated. Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
