Louvina Giles, 85
Louvina Giles, 85, of Sheila Drive in Campbellsville, Ky., died at 9:59 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 13, 2004, in Elizabethtown, Ky.
Daughter of the late Huel "Son" Blair and Fannie Ellis Blair, she was born in Adair County, Ky., on Feb. 22, 1919. She was a member of Southside Christian Church.
She was married
to Zack Giles on March 20, 1937. He preceded her in death on May 21, 1983.
Survivors include five daughters and four sons-in-law, Pauline G. and Otis G. Smith of New Albany, Ind., Shirley Lockard of Louisville, Ky., Linda and Jimmy Scott of Fairdale, Ky., Barbara and Jeff Burton of Shepherdsville, Ky., and Janet and Raymond Wood of Campbellsville; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Gordon A. and Elaine Giles of Louisville and Jerry R. Giles of Rossville, Ga.; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and one sister, Eula Hoosier of New Albany, Ind.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Junior V. Giles; two brothers, Grover Blair and Ralph Blair; and one sister, Linnie Derting.
Funeral was Thursday, Dec. 16 at Parrott and Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Bro. Eldon Rucker officiated. Burial was in Tabernacle Cemetery in Adair County.
Pallbearers were Stephen Burton, Dwayne Giles, Mitchell Giles, Michael Lockard, Brian Scott and Glendon Smith.
Billy Ellis, 58
Billy Ellis, 58, of Dunnville, Ky., died at 8:10 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 10, 2004, in Louisville, Ky.
Son of Louise Ellis Kilby of Dunnville and the late Alton Ellis, he was born in Boyle County, Ky., on Dec. 1, 1946. He was an employee of Ingersoll-Rand for 35 years.
He married
Regena Goode Witham on Nov. 22, 1991. She survives.
Survivors also include one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and David Pyles of Parksley, Va.; two grandchildren, Lacee Pyles and Grant Pyles, both of Parksley, Va.; one sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Arthur Giles of Campbellsville; and one step-brother, Douglas I. Kilby of Cynthiana, Ky.
Funeral was at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 14 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Dr. Paul W. Patton officiated. Burial was in Haven Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Danny Adams, Roger Benningfield, James Brown, Ken Hurt, Ernest Johnson, Lawrence Roots, John Smith and Greg Tungate.
Mabel Ruberts, 88
Mabel Ruberts, 88, of Georgetown, Ind., formerly of Taylor County, died at 2:40 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2004, in Indiana.
Daughter of the late Malcolm M. Warren and Oma E. Thompson Warren, she was born in LaRue County, Ky., on Feb. 3, 1916.
She married
Ranza Ruberts on Dec. 23, 1940. He preceded her in death on Feb. 8, 1992.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Marcia and Jack Lutz of Crestwood, Ky., and Faye and James Smith of Louisville, Ky.; five grandchildren, Holly Smith of Clarksville, Ind., Joseph Smith of Louisville, Amy Lucas of Lexington, Ky., and Kristina Lutz and Benjamin Lutz, both of Crestwood; and three great-grandchildren, Stacy Wilkins, Ranza Wilkins and Rebecca Smith, all of Louisville.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Velma Warren, Lucille Warren, Ida Schuler and Virginia Local Warren; and one brother, Hansford Warren.
Funeral was Wednesday, Dec. 8 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Rev. Freddy Thompson officiated. Burial was in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Russell Lucas, Benjamin Lutz, Jack Lutz, David Schuler, James Smith and Joseph Smith.
Nadine Judd, 79
Nadine Judd, 79, of Green County, Ky., died on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, Ky.
Daughter of the late Floyd London and Lora Perry London, she was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
She was married
to Ruhel Judd on Aug. 19, 1943. He survives.
Survivors also include three sons and daughters-in-law, Larry R. and Sharon Judd and Joe A. and Marlene Judd, all of Greensburg, Ky., and Benny Odell and Mary Susan Judd of Russell Springs, Ky.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Patricia G. Judd and Kathy D. and Johnnie Jessie, all of Greensburg; one sister, Dottie Walton of Campbellsville; 11 grandchildren, Terry Judd of Versailles, Eddie Judd, Larissa Marr, Andy Joe Judd, James David Judd, Shayla Vaughn, Jeremy Odell Edwards, Beverly Jessie and Jeremy Jessie, all of Greensburg, Chanda Judd of Russell Springs and Mark Blakeman of Bowling Green, Ky.; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Tuesday, Dec. 14 at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg. Dr. Gary Ervin and the Rev. Dennis Parrigan officiated.
Pallbearers were Terry Judd, James David Judd, Eddie Judd, Jeremy Odell Edwards, Andy Judd and Chad Vaughn.
Honorary pallbearers were James Dale London, Darrell Russell, John Frank, Byron VanArsdale, Tommy London, Mark Blakeman, Mike Squires, Kelly Judd, Mike London, Larry Slinker and Ricky Squires.

Nora Bell Burris, 83, of Columbia, Ky., died at 4:58 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 13, 2004, at Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, Ky.
Daughter of the late Ben and Annie Janes Smith of Adair County, Ky., she was a member of House of Prayer in Edmonton, Ky., and a homemaker.
She was married
to Carl Burris, who survives.
Survivors also include five daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy and Jackie Stinson, Betty and Olie Clay Keith, Wanda and Joey Kean and Vickie and James Jessee, all of Columbia, and Janice and Tommy Byrd of Glasgow, Ky.; one son, Randall Burris of Columbia; one brother, Elmer Smith of Portland, Ky.; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Patsy Posey in 1963; and one son, Glenn Burris in infancy.
Funeral was Wednesday, Dec. 15 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia. Bros. Carl Elmore and Phil Lowry officiated. Burial was in Tarters Chapel Cemetery.

Lynn Decker, 35
Lynn Decker, 35, of Leitchfield, Ky. died Thursday, Dec. 16, 2004, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
Daughter of Athel Decker of Leitchfield and Opal Edelen Decker of Campbellsville, she was born in Louisville, Ky. on Feb. 24, 1969. She was a homemaker and was a member of McGrew Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include her parents; one daughter, Brandy Marie Danelle Decker of Leitchfield; one son, Adam Trent Quinn of Leitchfield; her brothers and sisters, Deedee Decker Milburn of Greensburg, Ky.; Tama Sue Sego of Louisville; Tina Daugherty of Hart County, Ky.; Michael Daugherty of Campbellsville; Tony Edelen of Campbellsville and Timothy Scott of Lexington, Ky. and her grandmother, Flossie Edelen of Campbellsville.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Hugh Daugherty.
Funeral was Friday, Dec. 17 at Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial was in McGrew Cemetery.
Catherine Noe, 86
Catherine Noe, 86, of Bass Ridge Road in Elkhorn died at 12:50 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 24, 2004, in Campbellsville.
Daughter of the late John Henry Wooley and Cora Bland Wooley, she was born in Taylor County on May 28, 1918. She was a member of Merrimac Christian Church and also attended Raikes Hill Baptist and Mannsville Christian churches.
She was married
to Ernest Noe on Nov. 13, 1937. He preceded her in death on June 15, 1995.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Ernestine and Elmer Beaty of Liberty, Ky.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 10 sisters, Eliza Noel, Gertha Noel, Claudia Tucker, Josephine Stayton, Flora Brown, Louvenia Lowe, Tommie Peavy, Johnnie Whited, Alberta Wooley and Prentice McGoon.
Funeral was Tuesday, Dec. 28 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Revs. Jimmie Knifley and Damon Romel officiated. Burial was in Merrimac Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Cheatham, Billy Dabney, Larry Grooms, Jack Hamlin, Mike Marcum, Steve Noel and Sheridan Underwood.
Honorary pallbearers were her nephews.
