Jeffrey S. Richardson
LORETTO -- Jeffrey Scott Richardson, 28, of Willisburg, formerly of Marion County, died Saturday as the result of an auto accident on Hwy. 152 near Loretto.
Born Feb. 29, 1972, in Lebanon, he was a son of Margaret A. Nalley of Lebanon and Randy Richardson of Danville. He was a roofer.
Other survivors include a maternal grandfather, James W. Mattingly of St. Mary's; paternal grandmother, Ruth Richardson of Bradfordsville; a brother, P.J. Richardson of Lebanon; a half brother, Blake Richardson of Danville; a stepbrother, Eric Taylor of Danville; and a half sister, Heather Richardson of Danville.
Services were Monday at Mattingly Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert Judd. Burial was in Old Liberty Cemetery, Bradfordsville.

Gerald R. Shewmaker
SPRINGFIELD -- Gerald Ray Shewmaker, 62, of Mackville, died Monday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Sept. 6, 1937, in Washington County, he was a son of Leon Shewmaker of Mackville and the late Hallie Bottom Shewmaker. He was a retired employee of International Business Machines, where he worked for 33 years and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was a member of Mackville Baptist Church and Magnolia Masonic Lodge 201, F&AM. He also had served in the National Guard.
Other survivors include a son, Mark Shewmaker of Round Rock, Texas; and two daughters, Lisa Shewmaker of Dallas, Texas, and Sharon Shewmaker of Austin, Texas.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Carey & Son Funeral Home by the Rev. David Gifford. Burial will be in Peter Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Wednesday until time of service.

Dorothy D. Barker
LANCASTER -- Dorothy Mae Dailey Barker, 91, of Lancaster died Saturday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital.
Born June 8, 1909, in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Ed and Flossie Walton Dailey. She was a homemaker and a member of Lancaster Baptist Church. She was the widow Lee Barker.
Survivors include a son, Joe Barker of Lancaster; four daughters, Dixie Holman, Doris Baker, Judy Preston and Brooks Sparks, all of Lancaster; a sister, Eva Lee Hatchell of Indianapolis, Ind.; 22 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sons, Paul, Willis and Lloyd Barker.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lancaster Baptist Church by the Revs. Barry Jeffries, Jerry Browning and Lewis Smith. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be the eldest grandchildren, Larry Sparks, Ryan Preston, Allen Woods, and Ricky, Jeffrey, Joey and Kendall Barker. Honorary pallbearers are grandchildren.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today at Ramsey Funeral Home.

LIBERTY -- Joseph Larry Wethington, 54, of Liberty died Saturday at his home.
Born Dec. 28, 1945, in Casey County, he was a son of the late Joe and Mary Alice Wethington. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Angela Patton Wethington; a son, Joe Wethington of Cincinnati; a daughter, Shannon Patton of Dunnville; a sister, Geraldine Hicks of Liberty; and a grandchild.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bernard Catholic Church by the Rev. Joe Hall. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

SOMERSET -- Services for Jeff Lynn Caron, 37, of Somerset were held Sunday at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home by Scott Brewster. Burial was in Bethelridge Cemetery.
He died Thursday after an accident at R.R. Donnelley and Sons Co. in Danville.
Born June 19, 1963, in Boyle County, he was a son of Connie Bastin Caron and Robert Caron, both of Casey County. He was a press specialist. He attended Southern Heights Christian Church and a graduate of Casey County High School.
Survivors include his wife, Deana Bastin Caron; two sons, Joshua Mounce and Matthew Caron, both at home; a daughter, Christina Caron, at home; four brothers, Steve Caron of Eubank, Randy Caron of West Chester, Ohio, and David Caron of Yosemite.

He died Saturday at Medico Center of Bowling Green.
Born June 8, 1913, in Jacktown, he was a son of the late Jim and Lou Coppage. He was a former employee of Lebanon Oak Flooring Co. and a farmer. He was a member of Rocky Ford Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Smith Coppage; two daughters, Phyllis Anderson of Benton and Glynda Coulter of Bowling Green; a son, Glen Coppage of Danville; a brother, Elmer Coppage of Louisville; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Charles Thomas Bugg
Charles Thomas Bugg, 62, 210 Bruce Court, Danville, died Thursday at his residence.
Born Aug. 13, 1937, in Boyle County, he was the son of the late Edward Cecil and Margaret Singleton Bugg. He was predeceased by a brother, James Edward Bugg. He was a retired switchman for the Norfolk-Southern Railway Co. and served 13 years in the Air Force. He was a graduate of Parksville High School and was an avid golfer.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Edge Bugg, Danville; two sons, David A. Bugg and Gary D. Bugg, both of Danville; his stepfather, Roy Lee "Pete" Singleton, Danville; two sisters, Louellen Turner, Junction City, and Geni Dismuke, Danville; and four grandchildren, Benjamin T. Bugg, Brittany E. Bugg, Mary Scott Bugg and Caroline R. Bugg, all of Danville.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, at Stith Funeral Home with Rev. Ernest Martin. Burial will be in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Terry Turner, Kevin Turner, Charles C. Bugg, Steven Bugg, Jerry Dismuke and Dwight Vonlinger.

STANFORD -- Gladys Denham, 85, of Hustonville, died Friday at her home.
Born May 4, 1915, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Alan and Ida Murphy. The widow of T.J. Denham, she was a former homemaker, retired from Liberty Sportswear and a member of Stanford Church of Christ.
She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Denham of Hustonville and Velma Coffey of McKinney; a brother, Claude Murphy of Mount Salem; a sister, Bertie Jefferies of Mount Salem; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Marvin Denham.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Spurlin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-9 today at the funeral home.

CRAB ORCHARD -- Martha D. Middleton, 76, of Ky. 618, died Saturday at Lake Cumberland Regional hospital in Somerset.
Born April 5, 1924, in the Broughtontown area of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late John and Emma Gundersen Middleton. She was a homemaker and a member of New Hope First Church of God.
Survivors include seven nephews, Jimmy Middleton, Tony Middleton, Bobby Smith and Doug Smith, all of Crab Orchard, Donald Smith of Louisville, Roy Smith of Lexington and Fred Middleton of Dayton.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at McKnight Martin Funeral Home by Brother Cecil Roundtree. Burial will be in Mount Zion Church of Christ Cemetery.
