Margaret Louise Atwell of Campbellsville, daughter of the late June Sharpe and Lora Elizabeth Milby Sharpe, was born on Sunday, November 1, 1925 in Green County and departed this life on Monday, June 26, 2006 at the Summit Manor Nursing Home in Columbia. She was 80 years, 7 months and 25 days of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Hogards Chapel United Methodist Church and was a homemaker.
She united in marriage to Glen N. Atwell on January 24, 1942 who survives.
Other survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Charlotte and Tom Milby of Campbellsville; a daughter: Rhonda G. Atwell of Columbia; a son and daughter-in-law: Rick and Deb Atwell of Greensburg; two grandchildren: Josh Atwell of Lexington and Kali Atwell Edwards and her husband Paul of Louisville; a brother and sister-in-law: Cecil and Helen Sharpe of Campbellsville; a sister and brother-in-law: Evelyn and Earl Fisher of Greensburg; a brother-in-law: Garland Hayes of Greensburg; a sister-in-law: Betty Sharpe of Campbellsville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Atwell was also preceded in death by four brothers and a sister: Ed Sharpe, James Rollin Sharpe, Raymond Sharpe, Joseph Sharpe and Allene Hayes.
The funeral services for Louise Atwell will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, June 29, 2006 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Bro. Earl West and Bro. Steve Latham will be officiating.
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Hogards Chapel Building Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.

Mrs. Gladys Mae Bloyd, daughter of the late Charlie Creed Marcum and Mary Lydia Walker Marcum was born on Wednesday, July 23, 1919 in Green County and departed this life on Sunday, June 25, 2006 at her home in Summersville. She was 86 years, 11 months and 2 days of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
She united in marriage to Edward 'Eddie' Cluster Bloyd on September 4, 1935 who preceded her in death on July 16, 1999.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Milton Creed and Elizabeth Bloyd of Summersville; three grandchildren: Sherry Bloyd, Gayle Edmonds and her husband Ricky, Billy Bloyd and his wife Becky all of Summersville; three sisters: Dorothy Sampson of Louisville, Layola Homer of Ohio and Mariana Russell of Brooks, Kentucky; five great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Mae Bloyd will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Rev. Leslie Jewell will be officiating.

Mr. Herman Ural Bowman, the son of the late John Wesley Bowman and Mary Martha Downs Bowman, was born, May 20, 1921 in Nelson County and departed this life on Friday, June 2, 2006 at the Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown, KY. He was 85 years and 13 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. He was a member of the Highland Park Masonic Lodge in Louisville and was a retired inspector for General Electric.
He united in marriage on June 21, 1968 to Nina Lora Burton who survives.
Also surviving is one daughter: Brenda Hall of Summersville; two step-sons: Simmons Price of Carmel, Illinois and Larry Price of Greensburg; one step-daughter: Carolyn Sue Bishop of Greensburg; eight grand children, ten great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Bowman was preceded in death by one son: Ronnie Bowman, four brothers: Jake, Joseph, Pat and Calvin Bowman and a sister: Agnes Fryrear and one granddaughter, Candy Hall.
The funeral services for Mr. Herman Ural Bowman will be conducted Monday, June 5, 2006at 10:00 A.M at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Bro. Freddy Thompson, Bro. Marshall Easthamand Gail Dailey will be officiating.

James Thomas Bryant of Greensburg, son of the late Charlie Bryant and Mary Frances Brooks Bryant, was born on Sunday, March 20, 1932 in Hart County, Kentucky and departed this life on Monday, July 3, 2006 at the Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville. He was 74 years, 3 months and 13 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith, and was a farmer.
Mr. Bryant united in marriage to Drucilla Curry on December 23, 1953 who survives.
Other survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law: Mitchell and Charlotte Bryant of Greensburg, James Douglas and Greta Bryant of Texas, and Kenneth Lee and Vickie Bryant of Columbia; four grandsons: Rev. Adam Sneed of Columbia, Jimmy Bryant and Andy Bryant both of Texas and Joseph Bryant of Columbia; a sister: Goldie Hart of Greensburg; two brothers: Orville Bryant of Greensburg and Charles Bryant of Horse Cave; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a brother and sister: Willie Bryant and Evelyn Turner.
The funeral services for Mr. James Thomas Bryant will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, July 6, 2006 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Ennis-Perkins Cemetery. Bro. Eudell Stilts and Rev. Adam Sneed will be officiating.

Mrs. Hazel Jeffries Edwards, age 84, of Green County, passed away early Monday in Edmonton at the Metcalfe County Healthcare.
Survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law: Doyle and Eva Edwards, Coy and Judy Edwards and Danny and Nancy Edwards all of Greensburg and Jimmy Edwards of Edmonton.
Two daughters and sons-in-law: Ginny and Danny Kingrey of Cave City and Linda and Jim Bozeman of Springhill, Tennessee.
12 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson and a host of other relatives and friends survive.
The funeral service for Mrs. Hazel Jeffries Edwards will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. CST at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Cemetery in Sulphur Well.
Family requests visitation after 4:30 PM on Tuesday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg.

Mr. Vester Browning Ennis of Louisville, son of the late Samuel Browning Ennis and Zelda Cook Ennis Light, was born on Tuesday, November 15, 1921 in Green County and departed this life on Sunday, June 25, 2006 at the Franciscan Healthcare Center in Louisville. He was 84 years, 7 months and 10 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Louisville Separate Baptist Church. He was a retired employee for General Electric having worked for 32 years on the assembly line.
Mr. Ennis united in marriage to Olga Fay Judd on December 24, 1939 who survives.
Other survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law: Patricia Ennis Vance, Nancy and Ron Thurman, Sherry and Ronnie Young all of Louisville and Nona and Bob Hudson of Atlanta, Georgia; seven grandchildren & spouses: Kerry Vance and Kris Vance of Louisville, Todd and Vicki Thurman of Knoxville, Tennessee, Troy and Melissa Young of Louisville, Jennifer Hudson of Atlanta, Georgia, Chad and Stacey Hudson of Tampa, Florida, and Shanna Hudson of Tampa, Florida; four great-grandchildren: MacKinley, Reagan, Gunner and Avaree Hudson all of Tampa, Florida; a sister: Evelyn Davis of Green County; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Charles Rutherford Hatton of Louisville, son of the late Harold E. Hatton and Cornelia Blake Hatton, was born on Thursday, April 29, 1915 in Baltimore, Maryland and departed this life on Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at the Jefferson Manor Nursing Home in Louisville. He was 91 years, 2 months and 6 days of age.
He was the founder and managing partner of the old Charles R. Hatton & Company CPA’s and retired partner of Hatton, Todvine & Company CPA’s. He served his profession as president of Kentucky Society of CPA’s, president of the Kentucky State Board of Accountancy and commissioned as a board member of the State Board of Accountancy for seven years. Mr. Hatton served on the Executive Committee of Southern States Conference of CPA’s and was elected as Director-at-Large of the National Association of State Boards. He was a former president of Wildwood Country Club, a World War II veteran having served in the United States Army, a member of Crescent Hill Masonic Lodge and various civic and business organizations and had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Christ Church United Methodist.
He united in marriage to the former Ruth Landis on July 30, 1955 who survives.
Other survivors include several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law: Elois L. Landrum of Greensburg, Delia L. Paxton and her husband Walker of Greensburg, Doris L. Skaggs of Louisville and Norma Jean Pearce and her husband Philip of Prospect and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service for Mr. Charles Rutherford Hatton will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 10, 2006 at the Summershade United Methodist Church with burial in the Summershade Cemetery. Rev. Dwight Forderhase will be officiating.
