Mr. Earl Damon Judd, son of the late Avery Walton Judd and Hallie Mae Simpson Judd, was born on Tuesday, September 12, 1922 in Green County and departed this life on Tuesday, November, 28, 2006 at the V.A. Medical Center in Lexington. He was 84 years, 2 months and 16 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Baptist Church and the Men's II Sunday School Class. Prior to 1964, he was an active member of the Macedonia Baptist Church.
Mr. Judd was a Veteran of World War II, where he served in the 33rd ID and later, the 40th ID of the United States Army. He began his military career at Fort Lewis, Washington. After leaving the mainland, he was stationed near Hilo, Hawaii, and at Scholfield Barracks outside Honolulu, later leaving for the Asiatic-Pacific the island of New Britain and the invasion of Guadalcanal on the Solomon Islands in the South Pacific. His last duty location was in the Philippine Islands, where he spent the majority of his combat time in the military. As a combat infantryman, Mr. Judd received two purple hearts; Asiatic-Pacific Theater Medal for the invasion on Guadalcanal, New Guinea, and Luzon; The Combat Infantry Badge; the Expert Infantry Badge; along with the Good Conduct Medal upon his honorable discharge in 1945 from Camp Atterbury near Columbus, Indiana.
In 1951, Mr. Judd began his life-long career in a civilian capacity with the Department of the Army, serving 31 years at the Directorate of Engineering and Housing, Engineering Division, Fort Knox, Kentucky.
Mr. Judd united in marriage to Edna Maxine Lobb on December 22, 1951, who survives.
Other survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Connie and Frank Hansford of Campbellsville; a son: Charles Mark Judd of Greensburg; two grandsons: William Logan Hansford of Campbellsville and Christopher Ryan Walton Shuffett of Greensburg; one great-grandson: Wesley Ashton Walton Shuffett of Greensburg; a nephew: Gary Lee McFelia of Greensburg; a brother-in-law: John H. Jones of Louisville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a brother and sister: Hobert Walton Judd and Alma Faye Jones.
The funeral services for Mr. Earl Damon Judd will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Friday, December 1, 2006 at the Greensburg Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Macedonia Cemetery with full Military Rites. Rev. Mike Akridge and Ray Acree will be officiating. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements.
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Kentucky Baptist Home for Children, which can be made at the funeral home.

Mr. Amos D. “A.D.” Judd of Louisville formerly of Greensburg, son of the late Ben Tom Judd and Troy Palace Davis Perkins, was born on Monday, January 4, 1932 in Green County and departed this life on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at the Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville. He was 74 years, 9 months and 14 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ. He was a Supervisor for General Electric having retired after 35 years. He was a member of the Kosair Shrine Temple, Past Master Phillip Swigert Lodge 218 F&AM; of Fisherville and a member of Eastern Star of Louisville # 391.
He united in marriage to Reva Rebecca Tucker on March 26, 1949 who survives.
Other survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law: Larry A. and Nancy Judd, Lonnie T. and Sherri Judd, and Bennie R. and Diane Judd all of Louisville; five grandchildren: Nick Judd of Louisville, April Teeter of Indiana, Regan Judd, David Judd and Shelby Judd all of Louisville; three step-grandchildren: Christie Mudd, Steve Collins and Misty Ward all of Louisville; one great-granddaughter: Emily Teeter of Indiana; three sisters: Olga Ennis of Louisville, Eugenia Simpson of Green County, and Agnes Hamlin of Florida; a half-sister: Iley Judd of Campbellsville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral services for Mr. Amos “A.D.” Judd will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 21, 2006 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Bro. J.R. Tucker and Bro. Ivan Jones will be officiating.
There will be a Masonic service at 7:00 P.M., Eastern Time, Thursday, October 19, 2006 at the Owen Funeral Home, Dixie Highway, Louisville, Kentucky and a Masonic service at 7:00 P.M., Central Time, Friday, October 20, 2006 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home.

Mr. William Sanders Jones of California, son of the late Owen Richard Jones and Cora Nell Stone Jones, was born on Friday, January 11, 1929 in Green County and departed this life on Wednesday, November 22, 2006 in Novato, California. He was 77 years, 10 months and 11 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and formerly attended the Pink Ridge Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the United States Army as a Military Policeman and also serving in the United States Air Force. He was also an avid San Francisco 49ers and San Francisco Giants Fan.
Mr. Jones united in marriage to Maxine Dollohan on November 9, 1950 who preceded him in death in February of 1998.
Survivors include a daughter: Relda Jean Jones of California; a brother: Richard Edwards of Greensburg; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Mrs. Lucy Young Houk, daughter of the late William David Young and Nancy Bird Martin Young, was born on Saturday, January 9, 1915 in Green County and departed this life on Friday, November 17, 2006 at the Metcalfe Healthcare Center. She was 91 years, 10 months and 8 days of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Little Barren Separate Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
She united in marriage to William Estel Houk on December 21, 1934 who preceded her in death on May 10, 1984.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter: Lona Houk on December 13, 1935; three brothers: Willie Young, Harry Young and Armor Young and a sister: Hattie Jones.
Survivors include a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Alice Vaughn Goff, age 95 of Greensburg, passed away on Sunday in Greensburg.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law: Kenneth and Opal Goff of Campbellsville and Terry W. Goff of Bowling Green.
5 grandchildren: Eddie Goff of Greensburg, Valerie Goff Thomason of Cincinnati, Clint Goff of Bowling Green, Kevin Goff of Louisville and Olivia Goff of Nashville.

Mr. Brooks Mason Edwards of Greensburg, son of the late Emery Edwards and Lorene Hartfield Edwards, was born on Sunday, October 5, 1930 in Green County and departed this life on Thursday, November 30, 2006 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville. He was 76 years, 1 month and 25 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Baptist Church, a self employed Cattleman and Fishing Guide and a member of the American Legion Rod Lowe Post 124. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the United States Marine Corps.
He united in marriage to Barbara Ellen Caulk on December 21, 1955 who survives.
Other survivors include three daughters and a son-in-law: Lesley and John Mitchell of Laurens, South Carolina, Ellen Blakeman of Elizabethtown, and Alice Nichols of Bowling Green; six grandchildren: Brook Ellen Mitchell of Japan, John Mitchell, Jr. and Bryce Mason Mitchell both of South Carolina, Brad Lee Nichols of Bowling Green, Emily Ann Blakeman and Sarah Ellen Blakeman both of Elizabethtown; a brother: Bill Edwards of Greensburg; a sister: Mary Jane Morgan of Indianapolis, Indiana; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral services for Mr. Brooks Mason Edwards will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Monday, December 4, 2006 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens with full Military Rites. Rev. Mike Akridge will be officiating.
