Roxanne Hope Burton Downs, 45, of Fifth Street, died Saturday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.
Born Aug. 15, 1954, in Sault Saint Marie, Mich., she was a daughter of the late Robert H. and Marian M. Royer Burton. She was an inventory controller for Deter Co. and a graduate of the Kentucky College of Business.
Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth R. Mullins of Danville; four sisters, Rosalie McElroy of Lancaster, Sharon Hill of Silver Springs, Fla., Carolyn Burton and Nellie Houck; both of Danville; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Stith Funeral Home.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Tuesday.

MORELAND -- Ethel Terrell Brown, 80, of Westland, Mich., died Thursday in Detroit.
Born April 4, 1920, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Helem and Harriet Taylor Terrell. She was a retired employee of Anchor Coupling and the widow of William V. Brown.
Survivors include a son, Ronald E. Brown of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a daughter, Patricia F. Brown of Wayne, Mich.; four sisters, Pearl Pennington of Laffoliette, Ind., Hazel Southerland and Berniece Souleyrette, both of Stanford, and Geneva Blankenship of Crab Orchard; a brother, Edgar Terrell of Danville; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Don Drake. Burial will be in Moreland Cemetery.

HARRODSBURG -- Edna Marie Shearer, 91, of Marimon Avenue died Sunday at Harrodsburg Health Care Center.
Born Aug. 19, 1908, in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Loina Gritton Scrogham. She was a homemaker, the widow of George Shearer and a member of Harrodsburg Christian Church.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by the Rev. David Hartman. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

James W. Vest
LIBERTY -- James William Vest, 49, of Liberty died Sunday in Liberty of natural causes.
Born Jan. 8, 1951, in Chicago, he was a son of Enola Pittman Vest of Liberty and the late James H. Vest. He was a former butcher and an Army veteran of Vietnam.
Other survivors include three brothers, Kenneth and Daniel Vest, both of Liberty, and Michael Vest of Independence; three sisters, Mona Richardson, Hope Peyton and Linda Cook, all of Liberty; and a godson, Christian J. Richardson.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Bartle Funeral Home by the Rev. Clifford DeHart. Burial will be in Rich Hill Cemetery.

Born March 8, 1913, in Jellico, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late A.T. and Mary Merritt Lovett. She was a homemaker and the widow of James Clyde Terhune and Marvin Bowles. She was a 1933 graduate of Junction City High School and a member of First Baptist Church of Junction City.
Survivors include a daughter, Ann Gayle Garza of Springfield, Va.; two sons, Norman Terhune of Danville and Lyndel C. Terhune of Fruit Cove, Fla.; four sisters, Lena Wiggs, Martha Lewis, Thelma Gresham and Betty Walker, all of Junction City; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, V.W. Lawrence of Salvisa; and a daughter, Rose Marietta Lawrence of Salvisa.

Jack Cook
HARRODSBURG -- Services for Jack Samuel Cook Sr., 58, of Agee Street will be 2 p.m. Monday at Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home by the Rev. James Harley. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
He died Friday at his residence.
Born Feb. 3, 1942, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., he was the son of the late George and Pearl Hildebrand Cook. He was a retired truck driver for Laidlaw Environmental Servis, a Vietnam veteran and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. He was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Jean Goforth Cook; a son, Jack Samuel Cook Jr. of Lexington; a stepson, James Lathery of Lexington; two daughters, Wendy M. Yano-chack of South Dakota and Dawn R. Hubert of Salix, Iowa; two stepdaughters, Pauletta Best of Lexington and April Finch of Harrodsburg; four grandchildren; five step grandchildren; and one step great-grandchild.

Lloyd W. Beasley
LOUISVILLE -- Lloyd William "Bright Eyes" Beasley, 60, of Louisville, died Monday at Norton Hospital.
Born in Danville, he was a son of the late Gertrude Gooch and John W. Beasley.
Survivors include three sons, Ronnie, Johnnie and George Beasley, all of Danville; two daughters, Louisa Beasley of Louisville and Jural Scott of Danville. He was preceded in death by a son, Dewayne Beasley.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at New Jerusalem Baptist Church.
