The Reverend Michael Anthony Hickman, 53, of Shelbyville, died Sunday, April 25, 2004 at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Louisville following an illness. He was a native of Louisville, KY and the son of Nettie M. Beamus Hickman and the late George H. Hickman. He graduated from Shawnee High School in Louisville and from Simmons Bible College in Louisville, KY. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was the assistant pastor of St. John United Methodist Church in Shelbyville, KY. Prior to his call to the ministry, he worked as a guard at the Federal Building and for Ford Motor Company in Louisville, KY. His ministry was his passion, and he spent many hours visiting and ministering to the sick. He would always offer a prayer for those in need. He also served as the director of the Family Life Center at Clay Street Baptist Church. In his leisure time, he enjoyed golf. He was the primary impetus behind the Marnel C. Moorman Memorial Golf Scramble.
Survivors include his wife of five years, Yolanda F. Hickman of Shelbyville, KY; five daughters, Tiffany Neals and Teresa Schrapse of Salinas, Ca, Takeysha L. Cardwell of Shelbyville, KY, Thea M. Hickman of Louisville, KY and Deidre O. Ellis of Shelbyville, KY; three sons, Damond R. Hickman of Louisville, KY, Christopher M. Tinsley of Jeffersonville, IN and Tyrone L. Cardwell of Shelbyville, KY; six sisters, Sue Yarbrough of Louisville, KY, Ann Stum of Clarksville, IN, Leasa Johnson, Elaine Reed, Darlene Gray and Peggy Duncan, all of Louisville, KY; two brothers, John A. Hickman of Louisville, KY and Pastor Donnie Hickman of Harrison, TN; his mother, Nettie M. Hickman of Louisville, KY; 11 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, others relatives and friends.
Rev. Robert M. Marshall, Sr. will deliver the eulogy. Full military honors will be observed at Calvary Cemetery.

Robert Edward "Bob" Reardon, 72, Shelbyville, died Saturday, May 22, 2004 at his home after a long illness. He was a native of New Albany, IN and the son of the late Charles and Eulala Estepp Reardon. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, where he served during the Korean War. He worked for Fawcett Publications for 20 years, formerly of Louisville, as Director of Data Processing. Following this company's relocation out of state, he went to work for the Commonwealth of Kentucky as a systems analyst. He retired from Kentucky State Government in 1999 with 24 years of active service. He was a member of The Red Men of New Albany and also the Hot Rod Club of New Albany. He was an avid basketball fan, and remained an IU fan even after many years in Kentucky. He was also a fan of both U. of L. and UK. He attended Main Street Methodist Church in New Albany, where he had participated in the Choir as a boy and a young man. Singing was very important to him and something he thoroughly enjoyed until his health precluded it. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Marion Reardon and Richard Charles Reardon.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 28 years, Toy Reardon of Shelbyville, KY; one sister, Betty Zahn of New Albany, IN; two brothers-in-law, Joseph S. "Jay" (Ella) Sammons I and John D. (Connie) Sammons, Prestonsburg, KY; one sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Charles) Owens; 11 nieces and nephews, Linda Reardon (Steve) Keys, Karen Kwaak, Jack (Kaye) Huber, Michael (Melaine) Reardon, Randy (Roberta) Reardon, Carter (Liz) Reardon, Wendy Sammons (Mark) Hamilton, Sara Sammons (Justin) Campbell, Kara Brooke Sammons, Joseph S. Sammons II and Angela Owens; and his beloved dog and constant companion, Eve.
Dr. Lowell Ogden, pastor of Centenary United Methodist Church, will deliver the eulogy. He will be assisted by Joseph S. Sammons II, Kent State University Campus Minister and Certified Missionary. He will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in New Albany, IN.

Verda Maxine Bowman Williams, 83, Simpsonville, died Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at her home following an illness. She was the widow of Walter B. Williams. She was a native of Pomeryton in Menifee County, KY and the daughter of the late William T. and Iva Dorothy Lane Bowman. She was a homemaker and devoted her life to raising her children. She was a Baptist by faith. In addition to her spouse and her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Denny Williams and two granddaughters, Tammy and Connie Carpenter.
Survivors include five daughters, Carolyn "Sis" Rucker of Shelbyville, Norma Lee Morris of Eminence, Brenda Ried of Simpsonville, Bonnie Watson of New Castle and Linda Fraley of Cropper; five sons, Donald Williams of Port Royal, Doug Williams of Harrodsburg, Randy Williams of Shelbyville, Ralph Williams of Bethlehem and Jimmy Williams of Pendleton; one sister, Hazel Sweeney of Lexington; two brothers, John Bowman of Jeffersonville and Buford Bowman of Wellington; 25 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
William W. Taylor will be officiating at the funeral service on Saturday at the Grove Hill Cemetery Chapel.

A native of Scott County she was the daughter of the late Roy Lee Smith and Ellen Edwards Smith Pribble.
Survivors include one son: Ison Ison, Dayton, Ohio; 2 daughters Ellen Fowler, Lexington and Toni Whaley, Georgetown. Two grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A granddaughter, Selena preceded her in death.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Johnson’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

CARRIE MAE RISON TADLOCK, 84, Georgetown, homemaker and widow of Clarence William Tadlock died Friday May 2, 2003 at Dover Manor Nursing Home.
A native of Bourbon County, she was the daughter of the late Strauder and Ina Mae Lyons Rison.
Survivors include 5 daughters: Mary Jo (Andy) Young, Florida; Judy (Joe) King, Joyce (Millard) Whitlock, Janice Darnaby and Jackie (Ronnie) Sefcovic, all of Georgetown. Sixteen grandchildren and 23 Great Grandchildren. One brother, Leroy Rison, Tampa, Fl.
Funeral services will be 11:00AM Monday at Johnson’s Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Georgetown Cemetery. Mrs. Tadlock’s grandsons will serve as casket bearers. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Sunday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the S.C. Special Olympics.

Brunelle Flynn Casey, age 88, of Gilmore Drive, Louisville, formerly of Lawrenceburg, died Friday, April 18, 2003 at the home of her daughter. She was the wife of the late Thomas Berry Casey and daughter of the late John Wyatt Flynn and Estill Hawkins Flynn.
She was born December 12, 1914 in Pulaski County. She was a retired housekeeper for Heritage Hall Care Center in Lawrenceburg, a member of the Lawrenceburg First Baptist Churh, a former longtime member of the Friendship Baptist Church, the Hugh's Homemaker's Club, and enjoyed farming.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Carolyn Steilbert and her husband Richard of Louiville; three sons, Harold Thomas Casey and his wife Jean of Lawrenceburg, Raymond S. Casey and his wife Susanne of Frankfort, Charles E. Casey and his wife Donna of Lawrenceburg; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Alice Brown of Louisville and Shirley Riley of Lawrenceburg; 4 brothers, Winston Flynn of Louisville, Kermitt Flynn of Anderson Co., Curtis E. Flynn of Middletown, OH, and John Michael Flynn of Lawrenceburg.
Including her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, Ray and James Flynn; and a sister, Sylvia Pence.

W. Jean Vaught Fint, age 69 of Bluebird Court, Lawrenceburg, died Monday, April 14, 2003 at her residence. She is the wife of William M. "Bill" Fint, Sr. and daughter of the late George and Virgie Simpson Vaught.
She was born August 30, 1933 in Onieda, TN. She was a homemaker, a former employee of Texas Instruments in Versailles, and a member of the Tryone Baptist Church.
Including her husband, she is survived by two sons, Vincent Goins of Lawrenceburg and Steve Goins of Frankfort; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; three sisters, Peggy Winchester and LInda Burton, both of Nicholasville and Pauline Robbins of Ohio; two brothers, Wesley McDaniel and Jimmy McDaniel, both of Versailles; a step-sister, Patsy Turner of Nicholasville; and several special friends, including, Christine and Danny Baker of Versailles.
She was preceded in death by a son, William Mansfield "Billy" Fint, Jr.; a brother, Jack Vaught; and a sister, Georgia Courtney.
