Ida “Bobbie” Cartwright 69, of Livermore, Kentucky. Died Monday, October 13, 2003 at the Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Ida Mae Shroader was born January 29, 1934 in Ohio County and was known as “Bobbie” by her friends and family. Bobbie had retired from the General Electric Corporation of Owensboro and was a member of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include her husband, Don Cartwright. A son, Doug Gilmore of Philpot. A daughter, Debbie Jones of Owensboro. Two stepsons, Boyd Cartwright of Calhoun and Mark Cartwright of Rumsey. 9 grandchildren. 12 great grandchildren. And two sisters, Paula Stewart of Owensboro and Sandy Hurst of Whitesville.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with Dr. Richard Sams officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Livermore. Friends may visit with the Cartwright Family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and from 8:00 A.M. until time of services Thursday at Musters in Livermore.

Allen Ray Crabtree 66, of 530 Yale Place; Owensboro. Died Monday, October 13, 2003 at his home in Owensboro. He was born September 9, 1937 in Rome, Kentucky to the late R.A. & Hazel Fogle Crabtree. He had retired as a truck driver, was a member of Faith Baptist Temple in Beaver Dam, and was a U.S. Army & Navy Veteran.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Patricia Tucker Crabtree. Two sons Curtis Crabtree of Utica, and Mark Crabtree of Oak Grove, Kentucky. His mother, Hazel Crabtree of Owensboro. 3 grandchildren. Three Brothers, Tony Crabtree of Utica, Roger Crabtree and Danny Crabtree both of Owensboro. A sister, Denise.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with the Rev. Truman Cooper officiating. Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County with military honors conducted by the McLean County Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post #5415. Friends may visit with the Crabtree Family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and from 9:00 A.M. until time of services Thursday at Musters in Calhoun. Gabrielle Sheyenne Slack Spencer, Infant daughter of Jessica Slack of Calhoun and Darrell Spencer of Utica. Died Sunday October 19, 2003 at the St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville. She was born September 22, 2003 in Evansville.
Survivors include a twin brother, Benjamin Levi Slack Spencer. Her grandparents Brenda & Harlan Kennedy of Calhoun, John Slack of Central City, and Charles & Shirley Spencer of Bowling Green. And her great grandparents, Irene Spurlock of Owensboro and Sadie Stewart of Franklin.
Graveside services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Green River Memorial Gardens in Livermore with the Rev. Harry Wilson officiating. Friends may visit with the Slack and Spencer Families from 2:00 P.M. until 3:30 P.M. Wednesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel.

Beverly Jean Thompson 47, of Elba, Kentucky. Died Thursday October 23, 2003 at the Owensboro Medical Health Systems in Owensboro. Beverly was born April 10, 1956 in Owensboro to Bob & Pearl Thompson. She was a member of the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and attended the Kentucky School for the Blind in Louisville. Beverly enjoyed listening to music, especially Paul McCartney and Reba McIntire; her daily soap operas, and her dog, “Holly Bell.” She also enjoyed spending time with her family and her special friends, Kathy, Lisa, and Ame. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Glenn Thompson died in 1963.
Survivors include her parents, Bob & Pearl Thompson of Elba. Three brothers, Randy Thompson, Rick Thompson both of Calhoun, and Roger U. Thompson of Owensboro. A sister, Bernice Ayer of Calhoun. Beverly had 8 nieces & nephews and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in St. Joseph with Father Greg Trawick officiating. Burial will be in the St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Friends may visit with the Thompson family from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday and from 9:00 A.M. until 12:30 P.M. Saturday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Jo Nell Fulkerson 67, of Rumsey, Kentucky. Died Sunday October 26, 2003 at her home in Rumsey. Jo Nell was born January 8, 1936 in McLean County to the late Parke & Elsie Anderson. She had retired from the Dollar General Store in Livermore, and attended the Rumsey United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Prentice Fulkerson died April 27, 1990.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jeff & Elaine Fulkerson, and George Fulkerson all of Rumsey. A daughter Janice Leslie of Calhoun. Three grandchildren, Bryan Fulkerson of Louisville, Kaitlyn Leslie and Lindsey Leslie both of Calhoun. Two step grandchildren, John West and Robin Fleishmann both of Owensboro. Three step great grandchildren, Rebecca Simpson, Carter Simpson, and Zane West all of Owensboro. A sister, Norma Jean Jarvis of Mandeville, Louisiana. And her special caregivers of the last several months, Janice Wells, Brenda Redfern, Margaret Cotton, and Sheila Fulkerson.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the Calhoun Cemetery with the Rev. Ken Berggren officiating. There will be no visitation. Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is in charge of the funeral arrangements. Norlaine Henry Qualls 95, of Niagara; formerly of Beech Grove, Kentucky. Died Tuesday, October 28, 2003 at the Colonial Terrace Nursing Home in Sebree. Norlaine was born June 4, 1908 in Webster County to the late Will & Ocie Henry. She graduated from Sebree High School in 1927 and from Western State Teacher’s College in 1929. Norlaine then taught school in rural schools in Webster County. She later served as Postmaster at the Beech Grove Post Office for 31 years until retiring in July of 1974. Her husband, Clemon Qualls died in September of 1976.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Jo Qualls Edds of Niagara. A grandson, Joe B. Edds of Henderson. A granddaughter & her husband, Lisa Edds-Tichenor & Neil Tichenor of Niagara. A great grandson, Daniel B. Edds of Henderson. And a great granddaughter, Isabella L. Tichenor of Niagara.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with Brother Bobby Wheeler and Brother Adam Love officiating. Naomi M. Austin 87, of Owensboro, Kentucky. Died Friday, October 31, 2003 at Wellington Parc of Owensboro. Naomi was born March 10, 1916 in Rumsey to the late George & Ruth McLemore. She was a homemaker and attended the Owensboro Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Noble Austin died January 27, 1996.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda & John Hayden of Owensboro and Barbara & Dick Romer of Springfield, Illinois. Two grandchildren, Charlene Boggess of Owensboro and Jill Ballenger of Springfield. Five great grandchildren, Cortney, Bailee, Roman, Ruth, and Rose. And a sister, Jeanette Baldwin of Evansville.

Denzil Ray Goodman 66, of Utica, Kentucky. Died Sunday November 9, 2003 at the Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington. Denzil Ray was born December 23, 1936 in Hardin County to the late Dallie & Glennie Goodman. He was a retired mechanic and a member of the Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by a brother, Seth B. Goodman and a sister, Lena Faye Elliott.
Survivors include a companion of four years, Mary Day. Two sons, Jason Goodman of Utica and Timothy Goodman of Altoona, Florida. A daughter, Amanda Ray of Mobile, Alabama. 5 grandchildren. Three sisters, Sevada Mae Vowels of Pensacola, Florida, Doris Dean Cundiff of Sarasota, Florida, and Audrey Sue Yates of Rineyville, Kentucky. And Mary’s children, Lisa Jackson of Lewisport and Jeff Harper of Owensboro.
