Charles E. Hayden 80, of 1002 Mt. Liberty Church Road; Calhoun, Kentucky. Died Friday February 18, 2005 at his home in Calhoun. Charles Eugene Hayden was born April 20, 1924 in McLean County to the late Dutch and Nancy Nation Hayden and was later married
to the former Mary Elma Ladd on June 19, 1943. Charles was a retired pipefitter from Local #633 in Owensboro and was a member of the Calhoun Baptist Church. He was a Army Veteran of World War II, was a member of the Fur Takers of American and was also a member of the V.F.W. in Owensboro. Charles also enjoyed farming, hunting, and fishing. His wife, Mary Elma Hayden died March 22, 2001. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Carol Dant; two grandsons, Jerry Dant and Timothy Dant; and by a sister, Armelia Feaster.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Charlie and Victoria Hayden of Calhoun. A daughter, Shirley Ann Donahoo of Owensboro. 5 grandchildren. 3 great grandchildren. And a sister, Elizabeth Ann Fulkerson of Calhoun.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with Dr. Richard Sams officiating. Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by McLean County Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post #5415. Friends may visit with the Hayden Family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday and from 9:00 A.M. until time of services Monday at Musters in Calhoun.

William G. “Bill” Tichenor 84, of 4226 Mayflower Drive; Owensboro, Kentucky. Died Sunday February 27, 2005 at the Owensboro Medical Health Systems in Owensboro. William Gates Tichenor, Sr. was born May 26, 1920 in McLean County to the late Roger Tolbert and Mary Helen Tichenor and was better known as “Bill” by his family and friends. He was married
to the former Irene Mary Clement on January 2, 1945 and was the co-owner of Tichenor Brothers Grocery in Calhoun and was also the operator of Tichenor Chips, Inc, a distributor of Charles Chips. Bill was a member of SS. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church in Owensboro and was an Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #64 and was a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society. Bill was preceded in death by two sons; Howard J. Tichenor and Lloyd M. Tichenor; and by a grandson, William Foster Tichenor.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Irene. Four sons, Gates Tichenor of Calhoun; Todd Tichenor of Owensboro; Charles Tichenor of Santa Fe, New Mexico; and Carey Tichenor of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. 5 grandchildren. 4 great grandchildren. And a sister, Jacinta Garinger of Owensboro.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at the SS. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church in Owensboro with Father Brian Roby officiating. Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the McLean County Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post #5415. Friends may visit with the Tichenor Family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday and from 8:00 A.M. until 9:00 A.M. Wednesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Prayer services and a video tribute of Bill’s Life will be held at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at Musters in Calhoun.

Lewis Jennings 71, of 25 Beasley Road; Hardin, Kentucky died Friday June 23, 2006 at his home in Marshall County. Lewis Henry Jennings was born January 30, 1935 in McLean County to the late Herbert and Edna Evans Jennings and was married
to the former Beverly Jean Campbell on June 21, 1956. Lewis retired as an industrial electrician from the Chrysler Motor Corporation and had earlier worked at the former Calhoun Furniture Factory. He was a member of the Aurora Baptist Church and was an Air Force Veteran. Lewis was also member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels and was a member of the U.A.W. Retiree Council of Western Kentucky. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who greatly enjoyed both coon and rabbit hunting. He was preceded in death by a great grandson, Gregory Haggard; and by two brothers, Paul Jennings and David Jennings.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Beverly; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Tim and Dori Jennings of Cedar Hill, Missouri and Tony Jennings of San Diego, California; a daughter, Judy Jennings of Hardin; five grandchildren, Ruth Henson, Elizabeth Lawrence, Jason Jennings, Brandon Jennings, and Eric Jennings; three great grandchildren, Katyna, Jayden, and Kendall; three brothers, Carl Jennings of Owensboro, Ray Jennings of Beech Grove and Truman Jennings of Petersburg, Kentucky; and five sisters, Carolyn Guy, Dorothy Maxwell, Lois Conrad all of Calhoun, Linda Pruner of Bristol, Virginia and Kim Moore of Jackson, Kentucky.

Paul “Nubbin” Latham 61, of 772 Latham Lane; Island, Kentucky died Wednesday June 28, 2006 at his home in Island. Paul Henry Latham, Jr was born March 4, 1945 in Muhlenberg County to the late Paul Henry and Nelda Mitchell Latham, was married
to the former Glenda Marie Lawrence on April 26, 1968 and was better known as “Nubbin” by his family and friends. He was a truck driver for the Brown-Badgett Coal Company and was a member of the Island United Methodist Church. Paul also enjoyed camping, fishing, spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Glenda; a son and his wife, Michael and Nancy Latham of Island; two grandchildren, Parker Latham and Savannah Nall; three brothers, Riley Latham, Rondal Latham and Bennie Latham all of Island; and two sisters, Anna Jean Herreld of Taylorsville and Linda Rector of Island.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Rev. Barney Priar officiating. Burial will be in the Island Community Cemetery. Helen Vanover Paris 80, of 2141 Baker Drive; Owensboro, Kentucky died Thursday June 29, 2006 at the Bon Harbor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Owensboro. Helen Bernice Deno was born August 23, 1925 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Ernest and Sally Abney Deno, was married
to Charles M. Vanover on August 14, 1940 until his death on April 21, 1992 and was later married
to Robert Lee Paris on August 8, 2004. Helen retired as a cook from the former Leonard’s Fine Foods of Owensboro and was the owner and operator of the former Ma & Pa’s Restaurant in Owensboro. She was a member of the Walnut Memorial Baptist Church in Owensboro and also enjoyed listening to Gospel Music and being able to take long drives with her family. In addition to her first husband, Helen was preceded in death by two daughters, Nancy Dowell and Martha Jean Vanover; and by a grandson, Jackie Wayne Horn.
Survivors include her husband, Bob; five sons and their wives, Charles E. Vanover of Owensboro, John and Margaret Vanover of Hawesville, Neal and Faye Vanover of Reed, James O. and Lin Vanover of Las Vegas and Danny Vanover of Lexington, Texas; four daughters and their husbands, Ann and L.B. Cox, Ruth and Jack Horn, Brenda Layne all of Owensboro and Thelma Anderson of Florida; 31 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; and a brother, Eugene Deno of Owensboro.

Grayson Morgan Cissna, infant child of Jessica Morgan of 238 Winn Street; Mt. Sterling and Eric Cissna of Calhoun, Kentucky died Wednesday June 28, 2006 at the Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville. Grayson was born June 28, 2006 in Louisville.
Survivors in addition to the parents include a brother, Adyn McGuffin; grandparents, Danny and Annette Adams of Mt. Sterling, Jay Morgan of Uniontown, Kentucky, Rick Cissna of Calhoun and Martha Daugherty of Island; and a great grandfather, Hilton Atherton of Livermore.
Graveside services will be held at 9:30 A.M. Saturday at the Green River Memorial Gardens in Livermore with the Rev. Jeff Devine officiating. There will be no public visitation. Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel is handling the funeral arrangements.
