Steven Allen "Orange" Jolly, 50, died Thursday, October 6, 2005.
He was born January 10, 1955 to the late Herman & Georgie Mae Maines Jolly, was a native of Nicholas Co. and was a painting contractor.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Mary Ann (Gerald) Browning, Carlisle, Andrea (Matt) Burton, Lexington & Danielle Jolly, Richmond, 4 brothers, Herman Jolly, Jr., Cynthiana, Bobby (Jean) Jolly, Nicholasville, James (Jean) & Terry (Judy) Jolly, Carlisle, a sister, Shirley (Freelin) Dotson, Carlisle, 4 grandchildren, Todd & Courtney Browning, Madison & Emily Burton and a special friend Dalphine Goldy.
Services will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday at Mathers-Gaunce F.H. by Bro. James Jolly. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.

Josephine Hogg Flora, 75, widow of Milton Flora died Monday June 26, 2006 at Central Baptist Hospital.
She was born June 23, 1931 in Letcher Co. to the late John B. & Mary Gilley Hogg was a retired employee of Jockey International and was a member of Myers Christian Church.
Survivors include 2 sons, Jim Flora, Mays Lick & Jackie Flora, Carlisle, 3 daughters Virgilene Miller, Maysville, Helen McIntyre, Fleming Co. & Rosie Hughes, Carlisle, a sister, Fiercy Duncan, Carlisle, 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter Brenda Fulton.
Services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Mathers-Gaunce F.H. by Bro. Don Wagner. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Tuesday.

The Rev. Damon L. Helton, 78, of Route 1 in Corbin, passed away peacefully Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003 at his home.
He was born in Knox County Feb. 3, 1925 to the late Don Helton and Lillie Pridemore Helton. He worked as a coal miner in Harlan County for several years, 23 years at National Standard Co. in Corbin and pastored several churches in the Harlan, Corbin and Barbourville areas. He was a member of the Keck Baptist Church of Gray and a member of the Masonic Lodge, also of Gray.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jewell Cox Helton; two sons, Phillip Wayne Helton and wife Willa of Corbin and James Russell Helton and wife Glenda, also of Corbin; five grandchildren, all of Corbin; 12 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Opal Campbell of Harlan, Valdean Jones of VanBuren, Arkansas and Donna Smith of Cawood. He is also survived by a great host of friends and loved ones to mourn his passing.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1 pm at the Hart Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Carl Gallion officiating. Burial will follow in the Dowis Chapel Cemetery.
The Cumberland Valley Lodge #751 will confer Masonic rites at 7 pm Monday, Dec. 1, 2003 at the funeral home.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 pm Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be deacons of Keck Baptist Church and Honorary Pallbearers will be all preaching brethren.

Lu Mattox Brown, 79, of Georgetown, died Sunday of complications from pneumonia. Mrs. Brown, formerly of Lexington and Danville, was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Read Brown. In earlier years, she was an active member of St. Michael's and Christ Church, Lexington. She is survived by two sons, the Rev. Raymond F. Brown of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Nicholas N. Brown of Bowling Green; by two granddaughters, Dr. Katherine M. Brown of Providence, Rhode Island, and Margaret B. Brown of Washington, D. C.; and by a daughter-in-law, Judith M. Brown of Fayetteville. A burial service will be celebrated by the Rev. Anisa Willis at St. Michael's on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Michael's Episcopal Church.

He retired from construction work and was a lifetime member of International Union of Operating Engineers local 181.He was a member of the Trinity Assembly of God and a WWII Navy Veteran. Survivors include a son, Lester W.
