Georgetown - Dorothy Louise Taylor, 82, died Saturday, January 21, 2006, at the Hospice Care Center, Lexington. She was born August 27, 1923 in Stamping Ground, Kentucky, to the late Roy B. and Cynthia Hazel Powers Moody. She was a World War II veteran, serving in the Women's Army Corps branch of the U.S. Army and a member of the Scott County Church of Christ. While in the service, she was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska, where she resided for an additional 24 years, during which time she co-founded Fairbanks Builders Construction Company and completed her education at the University of Alaska. She obtained her license as a Certified Public Accountant in 1968, she continued to practice until her death. A lifelong faithful member of the church, she was one of the founding members of the first Church of Christ in Fairbanks, Alaska. Over the years, she donated countless hours of professional services to various civic and charitable organizations throughout central Kentucky. She was the recipient of numerous awards during her career, including the Georgetown-Scout County Chamber of Commerce Businesswoman of the Year award. She is survived by two children: Gary E. Carroway of Anchorage, Alaska; and Carolyn (Mike) Carroway Huellemeier of Georgetown, Kentucky; four grandchildren: Alexander Carroway and Elise Carroway of Wasilla, Alaska; Alex Huellemeier and Holly Huellemeier of Georgetown, Kentucky; 2 brothers: Daniel Moody of Stamping Ground, Kentucky and Jeff Moody of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky; 3 sisters: Edith Soutworth and Beulah June Moody, both of Georgetown, Kentucky; and Peggy Nelson of St. Helens, Oregon; several nieces and nephews and many cousins. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Nina and Deborah Moody and Betty Lou Fite; 4 brothers, Phillip, John, Ronald and Tommy Moody. Services will be Friday, January 27, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Dayton and Rev. Lexington Coots officiating. Burial will be in the Moody Family Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be Mike and Alex Huellemeier, Justin Marshall, Jarred Slone, Daniel Moody, Ken Borror, Lloyd Martin and Tom Coots. Honorary Bearers will be Edith Southworth, Vata Gillispie, Mary Jane Marshall, Barbara Strippelhoff, Annetta Scott, Ann Shearer, Gretchen Borror, Janice Pulliam and Gary Caraway. Visitation will be Thursday, January 26, 2006 from 5 to 9 at the funeral home. Will be dearly missed by her family, friends and clients as well as her beloved cats, Hermes and Emily. Patrick Michael Harvey age 41 of Georgetown died at his home on Cincinnati Road, Tuesday Jan. 31, 2006. He was born in Saginaw Michigan on Dec. 27, 1964. Georgetown - Lillie Mae Watson, 97, died Sun. Feb. 5, 2006 at Georgetown Community Hospital. She was Born in Scott County on Jan. 18, 1909 and the widower of Arnold Eli Watson and the daughter of the late William Taylor and Rosa Friedly Willhoit. Lillie was a homemaker, and was a member of the Gano Baptist Church, and a member of Good Neighbors Sunday School class. She was baptized and a former member of Stamping Ground Baptist Church where she was a member of Fidelias Sunday Class and started the Sunbeams Mission Class. Erminia "Minnie" Sawyers, age 80 of Washington D.C. formerly of Corbin passed away on Tuesday April 4, 2006 in Washington D.C. at her home with her Son Tullio.
She was born on April 9, 1925 in Rome, Italy to the late Tullio Marcotulli and Laura Cecca Marcotulli.
She was a private secretary during World War II for Benito Mussolini. While working in that capacity she was also active in the Italian Resistance. Her work in the Resistance was highlighted by hiding three young Jewish boys for 3years and 1day. All three boys are still living in France today. It was during the time of the Italian Liberation that she met her future Husband John Sawyers who was serving in the United States Armed Forces.
Erminia was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Corbin.
In addition to her Parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Sawyers in 1974; One infant Child, Torquato Sawyers; and Three Brothers, Marino, Torquato, and Francesco Marcotulli.
She is survived by her Children; Rita Sawyers Goodman of Jacksonville, FL, Laura Roark of Aimes, Iowa, John Sawyers Jr. of Hawaii, Ira Sawyers of Aimes, Iowa, Robert Sawyers of Florence, KY, and Tullio Sawyers of Washington D.C. with whom she resided; Grandchildren, Jessee and Ashley Goodman, Eric, Adam, and Valerie Roark, Robert Sawyers, Jr. and Andrea Sawyers; one Great Grandchild, Zoey Goodman. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and Friends both here in the United States and in Italy who will mourn her passing. "We Love You Momma Roma"
Funeral liturgy with Mass will be Celebrated on Tuesday at 11am at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Corbin in the Italian Tradition.
Visitation will be on Monday from 6-9pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, with Rosary Devotions recited at 7:30pm.

Luther Jarvis, 81, of Woodbine, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2006 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center.
Born August 5, 1924 in Clay County, he was a retired railman with the L&N; Railroad.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Arletta Jarvis in September, 2005, seven children, two sisters and one daughter-in-law.
He is survived by nine daughters, four sons, 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, three brothers, three sisters, and numerous loved ones and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, April 13, 2006 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Seymour Watenbarger and Rev. David Tyson Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Clearfield Cemetery in Jellico, Tennessee.

Avery W. Chilson, Jr., 82, of Corbin, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at the Oak Tree Hospital in Corbin.
Born June 25, 1923 in Michigan, he was the son of the late Avery Chilson Sr. and Clara Chilson. He was Pentecostal by faith and was a retired assembly line worker for the Chrysler Corporation in Michigan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, sisters, and a step-son Harrison Lloyd.
He is survived by his wife Beulah "Billie" Chilson; two sons; one daughter; brother Don Chilson; step-children Pat Lloyd of Huber Heights, Ohio, Mitchell Lloyd (Wilma) of Crossville, Tennessee, Phyllis (Van) VanNorstran of Corbin, Barbara Lee (Robert) of Crossville, Tennessee, Sherry C. Lawson of Crossville, Tennessee and Shonna Lloyd-Norris of Germantown, Ohio; and numerous step-grand and step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Saturday, April 22, 2006 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Josh VanNorstran officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 am Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at a later time at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery.

William "Bill" Johnson Jr., age 84, of Gray, Kentucky passed away on Saturday April 22, 2006 at the Corbin Nursing Home.
He was born on December 2, 1921 in Knox County Kentucky to the late William Johnson Sr. and Rebecca Dizney Johnson.
He was the Co-Owner of the former SM Campbell Packing House in Gray.
He is survived by his wife Geneva Penix Johnson; one Son, Jerry Johnson and wife Jewell of Corbin; one Granddaughter, Selena Mooring; and two Great Grandchildren, Taylor and Preston Miracle.
Graveside service will be on Tuesday April 25, 2006 at 2pm at the Resthaven Cemetery in Corbin with Rev. Steve Mayle officiating.
