Bessie S. Brown

SCIENCE HILL -- Bessie Rachel Shelton Brown, 65, of Waynesburg died Wednesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born Oct. 15, 1934, in Ellison Ridge, she was a daughter of the late William L. and Effie R. Phillippe Shelton. She was a homemaker and a member of Double Springs Baptist Church, Waynesburg.

Survivors include her husband, Charles L. Brown; a daughter, Sue Stoddard of Mississippi; four sons, Randal Brown of Kings Mountain, Jimmie Brown and Edward Brown, both of Junction City, and Charles Brown of Stanford; four daughters, Rita Maddox of Stanford, Carol Williams and Sheila Brown, both of Waynesburg, and Sharon Carney of Danville; and three sisters, Bea Staton of Kings Mountain, Sarah Ashley of Eubank and Velma Addington of Waynesburg; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two children, Johnnie R. Brown and Greta L. Brown.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Double Springs Baptist Church by the Rev. Brad King. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery.

Visitation is after 6 p.m. Friday at the church.

HARRODSBURG -- Hazel Cinnamon, formerly of Salvisa, died today at Norton Suburban Hospital, Louisville. Arrangements are incomplete at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.

Mary E. Gray

HARRODSBURG -- Mary Ethel Gray, 93, of Talmadge-Mayo Road died Thursday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.

Born July 17, 1907, in Mercer County, she was a daughter of the late Henry L. and Margaret J. Sanders Robinson. She was a retired Mercer County teacher and a former state employee. She also was a member of Mount Hebron Methodist Church where she was pianist and treasurer for several years. She was the widow of James P. Gray.

Survivors include three nieces, Oneita Searcy of Louisville, Ruth Robinson of Lexington and Amile Robinson of Frankfort.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Elwood Norton and Mason Harrod. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today.

Memorials may go to Mount Hebron Cemetery Fund.

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Ann Robins Gulley, 61, of Lancaster died Wednesday in St. Augustine.

Born in Lexington, she was a daughter of the late Orion W. and Mildred Robins McMurtry.

Survivors include her husband, Dr. James G. Gulley; a daughter, Mary Gulley of Lancaster; three sons, James M. Gulley of Memphis, Tenn., John O. Gulley of Bowling Green and Tom L. Gulley of Hanson; and five grandchildren.

Private services are planned.

Barbara E. Ballard

CINCINNATI -- Barbara A. Ballard, 65, of Cincinnati, died Tuesday. She was born in Lincoln County.

Survivors include a son, Ronnie L. Ballard; a daughter, Sandra J. Kenny; a brother, Raleigh Stonecypher; two sisters, Thelma Foley and Ruth Russell; and a grandchild.

Services will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday at John Hodapp Sons Funeral Home, West Chester, Ohio.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday.

Geneva F. Faulkner

STANFORD -- Services for Geneva Frances Faulkner, 95, of Clarksville, Ohio, formerly of Lincoln County, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Ephesus Baptist Church by Cecil Roundtree. Burial will be in Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery.

She died Thursday in Clarksville.

Born Nov. 29, 1904, in Lee County, she was a daughter of the late Abraham L. and Mary Hobbs Arnold. She was a homemaker, a member of Crab Orchard Baptist Church and the widow of Clennie E. Faulkner.

Survivors include a son, Deward Faulkner of Reading, Ohio; four daughters, Mary A. Jackson of Norwood, Ohio, Vivian I. Murphy of Fairfield, Ohio, Marie Taulbee of Clarksville, Ohio, and Freida M. Simpson of West Chester, Ohio; a brother, Herbert Arnold of Flat; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Visitation will be noon-2 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Sevilla Graham

HARRODSBURG -- Services for Sevilla Graham, 79, of Riverside Drive were held today at St. Andrew Catholic Church by the Revs. Joseph Muench and James Harley. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.

She died Wednesday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.

Born April 13, 1921, in Harrodsburg, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Frances Bowling Moore. She was the widow of Edward T. Graham. She was a retired Corning Inc. employee and a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church.

Survivors include a son, Tom Graham of Lexington; and a sister, Blanche Sharp of Shepherdsville.

Pallbearers were Harry Hatter, Michael, Ronnie and Roy Gene Moore, Brooks Beatty and Chuck Bugg.

Honorary pallbearers are H.B. Wilham and Travis Bugg.

Ransdell Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Betty J. Walls

STANFORD -- Services for Betty Jean Walls, 52, of Hustonville will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Fox Funeral Home by A.F. Atwood. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.

She died Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born July 28, 1947, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of Sam Turpin and Chelcie Payton Walls, both of Hustonville. She was a homemaker and minister of House of Prayer in Hustonville.

Other survivors include her husband, Jimmie Walls; a brother, George Turpin of Hustonville; and three sisters, Dallas Turpin and Marlene Smith, both of Indianapolis, and Josephine Wray of Boyle County.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Walls.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today.

LIBERTY -- Roger Dale Roberts, 27, of Parton Road died Monday on Clear Branch Road. An autopsy is pending.

Born July 13, 1973, in Cincinnati, he was the son of William R. and Eva Mae Richardson Roberts of Liberty. He was an employee of Wolford-Wethington Saw Mill.

Survivors include a son, Micah Roberts of Casey County; two daughters, Brittnie Roberts and Deandre Longmirr, both of Casey County; a brother, William E. Roberts of Casey County; and a sister, Rhonda Roberts of Casey County.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Don Clark. Burial will be in Willow Springs Cemetery.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. today.

Aaron J. Foley

Graveside services for Aaron Justin Foley, 19-month-old son of Randall E. Foley and Linda Kay Foley, both of Danville, were at 2 p.m. today at Bellevue Cemetery by the Rev. Bobby Rawlings.

He died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Pallbearers were Mike Gilpin, Kelly Edwards, Charles Whitaker and Troy Dishon.

Honorary pallbearers were Tim and Mark Roach, Sean Edwards and Rob Foley.

She died Friday at her home after a fall.

In addition to those previously published, she is survived by a daughter, Linda Irvin of Rossville Ga.
