Wallace Aaron Smock, age 68, 460 W. Lane, Harrodsburg, died Sunday, August 28, 2005 at his home.
Born September 14, 1936 in Washington County, KY, he was the son of Beulah Lee Key Smock of Harrodsburg, and the late John Thomas Smock. He was a USAF veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a retired Marine Control Assembler at Rex Roth Co. and a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church.
Survivors other then his mother include: his wife, Judy Marie (Owens) Smock; two daughters, Karen Dale (Randy) Huffman of Lancaster, KY, Denise Michele Smock of Harrodsburg, KY; one sister, Lillian S. Clemmons of Harrodsburg, KY; one brother, William Smock of Mercer County, KY; two grandchildren, Aaron Blake Huffman and Miranda Thomas Huffman.
Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Wednesday at the Fellowship Baptist Church, with Reverend James Harley officiating. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, with Military Rites.
Pallbearers are Gary Clements, Mike Huffman, David Smock, Michael Smith, Larry Frith, and Kent Harley.
Honorary Bearers are Taylor Lunsford, Clint Padgett, Rowena Frith, Reese Marshall, Tommy Goodlett, Donnie Sheperson and Jerry Bugg.
Visitation will be after 5pm Tuesday, at Ransdell Funeral Chapel and after 12 Noon Wednesday at the Church.

Glendon Whitenack, age 88, 2700 Mackville Road, Harrodsburg, died Friday, September 30, 2005 at Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY.
Born September 9, 1917 in Mercer County, KY, she was the daughter of the late John Hughes and Grace (Chilton) Whitenack. She was a retired Elementary School Teacher and Food Service Coordinator for Mercer County School System. She was a member of the Bruner’s Chapel Baptist Church where she had served as a Sunday School Teacher, Church Secretary and Choir member. She was also a member of the Mercer County Retiered Teacher’s Assoc.
Survivors include: three sisters: Martha Sue Mayes and Anne Sims of Harrodsburg, KY, Wyona Chew of Granite Bay, CA and two brothers: J. H. Whitenack, Jr. and Everett Whitenack of Harrodsburg, KY; Several Nieces and Nephews, Great Nieces and Nephews and Great Great Neices and Nephews.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM, 10/3/2005, at Spring Hill Cemetery by Rev. Greg Humpert.
Pallbearers are: Allen Whitenack, Alex Whitenack, Dennis Mayes, Brent Steele, Bryan Driskell, David Whitenack, Dale Yates.
Honorary bearers: Faith Sunday School Class.

Virginia Mae Hurst, age 70, Harrodsburg, died Friday, September 23, 2005 at the Bluegrass Community Hospital in Versailles, KY.
Born July 4, 1935 in Harrodsburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late Reuben and Daisy Deana (Beckham) Egbert, Sr. She was a homemaker and a member of the Ebenezer Church of Christ.
Survivors include: four daughters: Cindy Quinn, Barbara Siler and Donna Young all of Harrodsburg and Melissa Osbourne of Lawrenceburg, KY; one son: Larry Siler of Harrodsburg, KY; and a brother: Elmer “Tuggle” Egbert of Mercer County, KY; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Monday, September 26 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by John David Lane and George Blakeman. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery, Salvisa.

Carolyn Jane Harmon, age 75, Harrodsburg, died Friday, September 30, 2005 at Saint Joseph Hospital, Lexington, KY.
Born April 24, 1930 in Harrodsburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late Eunice and Maudolene (Wilson) Black and the widow of Walter C. Harmon. She was a retired Corning Glass employee and a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two sisters; Wanda Gaddis of TN, Loraine Springate of Harrodsburg, KY, one brother: Burnice Black of Winchester, KY; five Grandchildren: Adana Begley, Labandi Patterson, Deonna Serrano, Kim Harmon, Brent Harmon and nine great grandchildren. She was predeceased by to children: Kenny Harmon and Judy Patterson.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, 10/2/2005, at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Bro. Larry Reed and Bro. David Collier. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.

Edith Davidson Young, age 88, wife of Jesse Young of Salvisa, KY, went to her heavenly home Tuesday, September 20, 2005.
Born November 14, 1916 in Perry County, KY, she was the daughter of the late James Madison and Clara (Gambil) Davidson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Chavries Christian Church and attended the Salvisa Christian Church. She was involved in the Women’s Circle and Modern Woodmen
Edith was predeceased by a daughter; Jean Hatch. Survivors include her husbandof 68 years: Jesse Young, two daughters: Saundra Powell of Memphis, TN, Ann Dean of Harrodsburg, KY and two sons: Jesse C. Young and Michael Young both of Salvisa, KY; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Friday, September 23 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Johnny Hockersmith and Danny Wiley. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.

Born November 18, 1937 in Harrodsburg, KY, he was the son of the late Richard and Nannie (Grimes) Cheatham. He was a retired foreman Navistar - International Harvester in Louisville and Springfield OH.
Survivors include: one sister: Dollie Stagner of Burgin, KY; a special friend: Carl Case, 2 nephews a niece and several great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter: Alisa Ann Cheatham and a brother: Richard Cheatham Jr..
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Friday, September 30, 2005 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Mike Hamby and Burial will be in the Bethany Memorial Park, Louisville.
