Wanda Jean Hurst, age 70, Harrodsburg, died Saturday, June 17, 2006 at Harrodsburg Health Care Center., Harrodsburg, KY.
Born March 3, 1936 in Harrodsburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late Marvin C. Taylor and Zeleen (Crossfield) Taylor Boston. She was a retired private caregiver and the widow of Dalton H. Hurst, Sr.
Survivors include: three daughters: Verna “Vicky” Elizabeth Hurst of Harrodsburg, Debbie Hurst of Junction City, Tammy H. Abbott of Parksville, and two sons: Tony Hurst of Garrard County, Dalton H. Hurst, Jr. of Harrodsburg, a Half Sister, Carla Taylor of TN; 11 Grandchildren, and one Great Grandchild.
Private grave side services will be held Tuesday, June 20, at New Providence by Scott Hurst.

Homer Cecil Denny, age 94, 526 E. Main St., P. O. Box 8, Burgin, died Saturday, August 5, 2006 at Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY.
Born March 8, 1912 in Mercer County, KY, he was the son of the late Henderson W. and Mary Beulah (Hawkins) Denny, and the widower of Ruth Adeline Trisler. He was an employee of the Blue Diamond Coal Co. for 25 yrs. and owned and operated Denny´s Grocery for some 16 yrs. He was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and membership chairman for many yrs.
Survivors include; one son: Joe D. (June) Denny of Lawrenceburg, KY; one sister: Lucille Hawkins of Burgin, KY and two brothers: Charles Ernest Denny of MD, H. W. Denny, Jr. of OH; Grandson, Jason (Debbie) Denny; Grandson, Gaylon (Melanie) Denny; Great Grandchildren, Clayton and Haleigh Denny; Great Grandchildren, Derek and Daniellle Brown.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, 8/7/2006, at Immanuel Baptist Church by James Heard and Harold Best. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 6 after 5:00 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, and Monday 10:00 AM until the hour of service at Church

Douglas Wayne Isham, age 48, 345 Rose Lane, Harrodsburg, died Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at his home.
Born April 3, 1958 in Harrodsburg, KY, he was the son of Waldon “Connie” and Donna (Dearinger) Isham and the husband of Leslie Sue Stephens Isham. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a Truck Driver for Bunzl Distribution Co., Louisville. Doug was a member of the Bruner’s Chapel Baptist Church and attended the Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church.
Other survivors include: two sisters: Paula (Rory) Renee Click, and Sheila (Kenny) Jo Caudill both of Harrodsburg, KY; Step Son, Larry J. Standiford, II of Lexington, KY; Two Nieces; One Nephew; One Great Niece And Nephew.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday (7/21/2006), at Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Derek Baker officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.

Charles M. Aldridge, age 76, 441 College Manor, husband of Alice Florence Aldridge, died Thursday, February 05, 2004 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington after a short illness.
Born April 19, 1927 in Garrard County, he was the son of the late Charlie B. and Mary Sutton Aldridge, was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, an Assistant Superintendent for Kentucky Utilities at the E.W. Brown Generating Station in Mercer County, a member of the Mercer Masonic Lodge # 777 F&AM; , and a member, Sunday School Teacher, and Deacon of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church.
Survivors besides his wife include: two daughters, Pam (Dick) Koerner, Dayton, Ohio, and Jane (Gary) Bridgewater, Conyers, Georgia; one sister Jesse Mae Gibson, Olathe, Kansas; four grandchildren, Alyson and Amy Bridgewater, Conyers, GA., and Sarah and Megan Koerner, Conyers, GA.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday, February 8th at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Dr. Robert DeFoor. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery.

Edith Lovett Alexander, 92, Harrodsburg Health Care Center, widow of William Myers “Jack” Alexander, died Friday, March 5, 2004 at the health care center.
Born December 26, 1911 in Boyle County, she was the daughter of the late John and Ida Milburn Montgomery. She was a retired telephone operator for South Central Bell, a homemaker, a member of the Lexington Road Homemakers, and a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters: Joyce and her husband Stanley Jenkins and June and her husband Joe Gerlach both of Harrodsburg; one brother, Dan Montgomery, Danville; five grandchildren, and twelve great - grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers Shannon and John Montgomery and two sisters, Betty Worthington and Mary Duncan Bowles.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday, March 7th at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Bro. Morris Traynor, Bro. Harold Best, and Bro. Greg Farmer. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery.

Sue Logue, 74, Harrodsburg, widow of Arnold Logue, died Sunday, March 21, 2004 at her residence.
Born May 17, 1929 in Sweetwater, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Godia Gay Lagrone.
She was the former owner and operator of Arnold’s Florist and Greenhouse in Harrodsburg for over 40 years, a former member of the Harrodsburg Women’s Club and member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two sons, Stephen and his wife Nina Logue, Burgin and Michael Willis Logue, Lexington; four daughters, Linda and her husband Jack McGee, Lexington, Susan and her husband Bentley Lane, Harrodsburg, Sherri and her husband Bob Lewis, Harrodsburg and Melissa and her husband Jim Hill, Lawrenceburg; one sister Mary Alice Franz, North Carolina; nine grandchildren and two great - grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Laticia Logue and two sisters, Jo “Nell” Gerbitz and Margaret Ann West.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, March 25th at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Bobby Logue. Burial will be in the Springhill Cemetery.
