Ada Marie Crossfield Ransdell, age 94, 125 Cummins Ferry Rd., Salvisa, died Friday, May 19, 2006 at Heritage Hall Care Ctr., Lawrenceburg, KY.
Born June 9, 1911 in Harrodsburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Atwell and Ida (Preston) Crossfield. She was the widow of A. L. “Sammy” Ransdell. Ada was a Homemaker and a member of the Ebenezer Church of Christ.
Survivors include: three daughters: Eunice (R. D.) Peyton of Salvisa, KY, Joyce (Robert) Warren of Salvisa, KY, Jackie (Jim) White of Georgetown, KY; nine Grandchildren, eighteen Great Grandchildren, ten Great Great Grandchildren, four step Great Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday (5/22/2006) at Ebenezer Church Of Christ by John Kessel with burial in the Ebenezer Cemetery, Salvisa.
Pallbearers are: Larry Peyton, Steve Peyton, Rick Peyton, Keith Warren, John Warren, and Jeremy White. Honorary Bearers will be Grand Children, Great Grand Children. Great Great Grandchildren, and Step Great Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 21 4 - 8 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, and Monday after 9:00 am at Ebenezer Church.

Hansford "Lawrence" Hendren, age 75, 384 College Manor, Harrodsburg, died Sunday, May 28, 2006 at his home.
Born December 7, 1930 in Harrodsburg, KY, he was the son of the late Ernest E. and Nona (Divine) Hendren. He served during Korean war in the Air Force. He was a retired Teacher, having taught in the Stanford and Harrodsburg School Systems. He was a member of the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors include: two sons: Kelly Hendren of Lexington, KY, Kevin Hendren of Atlanta, GA.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Wednesday, May 31, at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Flynn Rogers. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.

Harold Renwick Preston, age 79, of Louisville, died Thursday, April 20, 2006 at Regency Rehab And Nursing Center, Louisville, KY.
Born October 18, 1926 in Lexington, KY, he was the son of the late John A. and Ella Marie (Purvis) Preston. He was a retired Minister and Missionary having served in the Philippines for more than seven years. He also served during World War II in the U. S. Army.
Survivors include: his wife: Vena Mae (Sheperson) Preston, three daughters: Deborah (Alex) Poulter of Lexington, KY, Rebecca (Danny) Chapman of Louisville, KY, Cindy (Daryl) Hampton of Houston, TX; and three sons: Renwick Preston, Jonathan (Linda)) Preston, and David (Jane) Preston all of Houston, TX; two brothers: John A. Preston, and Kenneth Preston both of Harrodsburg, KY; Sixteen Grandchildren, and several Nieces And Nephews.
Funeral services will be held 02:00 PM, Sunday (4/23/2006), at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by John Frasher and Jim Harmon. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery, Salvisa.

Bessie Frances Osborne, age 91, Moreland Avenue, Harrodsburg, died Saturday, April 1, 2006 at Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY.
Born September 9, 1914 in Harrodsburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late Ben and Nancy (Leach) Chumley and the widow of Howard Osborne. She was a Homemaker and the oldest member of the Harrodsburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include: one daughter: Janice Yount and one son: Billy Lawrence Currens both of Harrodsburg, KY; Merry Lee Jordan and Terry Lee Currens, whom were raised in her home; 6 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 4 great - great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday (Apr. 4) at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Jimmy Owens with burial in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.

Jessica Victoria Hopkins, age 17, 750 Jackson Pk, Harrodsburg, died Saturday, April 29, 2006, in an motor vehicle collision on highway 152 East of Harrodsburg, KY.
Born February 19, 1989 in Columbus, GA, she was the daughter of Jessica Hendley Hopkins and the late Roger Hopkins. She was a Student at Mercer County High where she was a member of the FFA, a former Cheerleader and Gymnast and was a mentor in the PALS program. She also worked part time at Shakertown at Pleasant Hill as a server. She attended the Bluegrass Pike Baptist Church.
Survivors include: guardians, Rhonda and Tony Smith of Mercer County; a brother, Joshua Hopkins of McDowell, KY; Paternal Grandmother, Linda Williams of Richmond, KY; Paternal Grandfather, Ronnie Hopkins of McDowell, KY; Parternal Great Grandparents, Harold and Annie Watson of Columbus, GA.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Wed. (5/3/2006), at the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, KY. Burial will be in the Hopkins Cemetery, McDowell, KY.
Visitation will be Monday, May 1 after 3:30PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg and Tuesday after 5:00 PM at the Hall Funeral Home in Martin.

Born September 16, 1934 in Shakertown, KY, he was the son of the late Berry Henry and Edna (Black) Russell. He was a retired employee of the E. W. Brown Power Plant and a member of the Eller’s Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife: Fayrene (Logue) Russell and one son: Gary Kent Russell of Harrodsburg, KY; one brother: Donald Russell of Harrodsburg, KY; Grandchild: Clayton Kyle Russell; Step Grandchild, Casey Lawson. He was predeceased by two daughters: Joni Dale and Jamie Sue Russell and a granddaughter: Amanda Page Russell.
