Samuel Chilton Bennett, age 80, of Burgin, died Friday, April 21, 2006 at his home.
Born November 4, 1925 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late D. Samuel and Ruby (Chilton) Bennett. He owned and operated Bennettis Grocery for many years and was a member of the Burgin Christian Church, were he served as an Elder. He was also a member of the Mercer Masonic Lodge # 777 F & AM and the Oleika Shrine Temple.
Survivors include: his wife: Martha Christine ((Sexton)) Bennett, one daughter: Linda (Bill) McGlone of Harrodsburg, KY; and one son: David Bruce (Robin) Bennett of Burgin, KY; Grandchildren: Samuel (Anita) Bennett, Diana Bennett, Randy Qualls, John Qualls, David Woodard, Anthony Woodard and Seven Great Grandchildren. Special Friends: Delbert And Edna Ball. He was predeceased by a daughter Sammie Joan Bennett and a son Samuel C. Bennett, Jr.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM, Tuesday (4/25/2006), at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Mark Reiss and Jeanette Lucas and Scott George. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are: Billy Crouch, Lee Sharp, Donnie Montgomery, Charles Goodlett, Chester Ottis, Bill Yeary, and Jerry Thacker.
Honorary Bearers: Delbert Ball, Don Bugg, Lloyd Pickett, Curtis Keeling, Curtis Bailey, and Bob Thompson.

Katherine Caton, age 91, Harrodsburg, widow of Carroll Caton, died Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY.
Born January 22, 1915 in Mercer County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Robert Overton and Mary (Murphy) Trayner. She was a retired seamstress of the Cricketeer Mfg. Co. and a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two sons: Don Billy (Delores) Caton and Jerry (Frances) Caton both of Harrodsburg, KY; four Grandchildren, Joy (Jack) Robertson; Ray (Wendy) Caton; Chris (Cathy) Caton and Nick (Kelly) Caton; seven Great Grandchildren, Ann Katherine Robertson Emily, Alex, Gracie, Will, Aaron & Seth Caton. Predeceased by 4 Brothers, 2 Sisters and 1 Grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:30 PM, Friday, April 14 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Dr. Robert DeFoor and Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.

Bernice F. Ward, age 85, Salvisa, died Sunday, April 16, 2006 at V. A. Medical Ctr., Lexington, KY.
Born December 4, 1920 in Burgin, KY, he was the son of the late Stanley and Mattie Belle (Riley) Ward. He served during World War II in the Army. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Kirkwood Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one sister: Shirley W. Clark of Lawrenceburg, KY and one brother: Herman (Doris) Ward of Versailles, KY; Nine (9)Nieces and Nephews, A Special Niece, Lee Ann Clark.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, 4/19/2006, at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Elwood Norton and Tim Gray. Burial will be in the Kirkwood Cemetery with Military Rites.

Lillie Mae McKinney, age 77, 3695 Louisville Road, Harrodsburg, widow of W.H “Jack” McKinney, died Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY.
Born December 20, 1928 in Danville, KY, she was the daughter of the late Myrtle Hogue. She was former owner and operator of McKinney Tax Service and a member of the Salvisa Baptist Church and the VFW Women's Auxiliary.
Survivors include: a son, Michael McKinney of Lexington, KY; a brother, Jack B. League of Danville, KY; three grandchildren, Christopher and Brandon McKinney and Gene Moore; two great grandchildren, William Hunter and Amanda Grace McKinney. She was predeceased by a son, David McKinney.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM, Friday, May 19, 2006 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Jason Clark. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.

Carla Dean Leonard, age 45, Tyler Ave, Harrodsburg died Saturday, June 3, 2006 at the Hospice & Palliative Care Of Louisville.
Born June 12, 1960 in Harrodsburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late Robert C. “Bobby” and Delores Raiza Leonard. She was a postal clerk for the U.S. Post Office in Danville. She was a member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church, a graduate of Western Kentucky University and was inducted in to the Boyle County Hall of Fame this year for girl’s basketball.
Survivors include: two sisters: Gayle Miller of Brandon, MS and Cecelia Leonard of Harrodsburg, KY; one brother: Sleet Leonard of Danville, KY; Three Nieces and Two Nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM, Monday, June 5 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Dale Denton with burial following in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
