Mr. C. G. Simpson, age 88, of the Grab Community of Green County, died Monday, May 29th at his home.
He is survived by his wife: Eugenia Judd Simpson of the Grab Community.
3 daughters & 2 sons-in-law: Sandy & Clell Gentry of Greensburg, Glenda & Steve Stengal of Grab, and Ree Lomax of North Carolina.
3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
The funeral services for Mr. C. G. Simpson will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home, with burial in the Green County Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Benny Gene Fancher, son of the late Orville Fancher and Opal Kidd Fancher, was born on Thursday, October 28, 1943 in Green County and departed this life on Saturday, April 15, 2006 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center South in Edgewood, Kentucky. He was 62 years, 5 months and 18 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Shady Grove Baptist Church, and was a dozer operator with the CUC Construction Company.
He united in marriage to Beatrice Marie Tarvin on January 31, 1972 who survives.
Other survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law: Robbie Dean Fancher and Bryan Gene and Sally Fancher all of Ohio; a sister: Barbara Rock of Hardyville; a brother: Roger Fancher of Greensburg; five grandchildren: Heidi Fancher, Andrew Fancher, Zachary Fancher, Embrionna Fancher and Maranda Fancher all of Ohio; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Olive Bell Akin Bratcher
Mrs. Olive Hazel Bell Bratcher of Louisville, daughter of the late Willie Creed “Bud” Bell and Lucy Hazel Bell, was born on Tuesday, December, 7, 1915 in Green County and departed this life on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at the Hospice and Palliative Care of Louisville. She was 90 years, 4 months and 5 days of age.
She was a retired Aide at the Norton Hospital and a homemaker.
She united in marriage to Cecil Thomas Akin on July 7, 1935 who preceded her in death on May 24, 1950, she then united in marriage to Harry Raw in 1956 who preceded her in death in 1960, then later united in marriage to Almer Bratcher on December 9, 1960 who also preceded her in death in 1982.
Survivors include three daughters and a son-in-law: Annabelle and William Earl Henderson of Summersville, Judith Marie Ferriell of Elizabethtown and Jan Akin of Louisville; one brother: Herman Bell of Versailles; five grandchildren; 9 great-grand children and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Bratcher was also preceded in death by one great-grandchild: Carley Ann Henderson.
The funeral services for Mrs. Olive Hazel Bell Bratcher will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, April 15, 2006 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Shane Brown and Joel Crawford will be officiating.

Mr. Richard L. Settles
Mr. Richard L. Settles, the son of the late Elmer and Katie Bryant Settles, was born Wednesday, November 12, 1930 in Marion County, Kentucky and departed this life on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 in Louisville at his residence. He was 75 years, 5 months of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Southeast Christian Church. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Korean Conflict.
He united in marriage to Mary Davenport, who preceded him in death on November 3, 1994. He later united in marriage on June 22, 1996 to Hazel M. Robertson Root, who survives.
Also surviving are six children: Douglas Settles of Green County, Dale Warf of Louisville, Thomas D. Root, Frank Root, Teresa Bitner, Pam Johnson, and Enola Patterson all of Illinois; one brother: James Settles of Allen, Kentucky; three Grandchildren and several step-grandchildren and great-children also survive.
Mr. Settles was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
The funeral services for Mr. Richard Settles will be conducted Saturday, April 15, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Macedonia Cemetery with Military Honors. Rev. Clayton Klingenfus will be officiating the funeral service.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Louisville and can be made at the funeral home.

Mrs. Kathleen Gladys Henderson, daughter of the late Ellis Davenport and Lillie Price Davenport, was born on Sunday, December 13, 1925 in Green County and departed this life on Sunday, April 9, 2006 at her daughter's home in Springfield, Kentucky. She was 80 years, 3 months and 27 days of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Green Hill Baptist Church and attended the Living Word Faith Center. She was a retired Nurses Aid at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital, and a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary where she served as a past Secretary.
She united in marriage to Orvil Lester Henderson on April 29, 1950 who preceded in her death on February 20, 1981.
Other survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law: Sheila and Thomas Curry of Greensburg, Twyla and Brian Hoppes of Springfield, and Angela and Bernie Gribbins of Campbellsville; a brother: Eugene Davenport of Elizabethtown; one grandson: Rodney Henderson of Lexington; two great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; one step-great grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Henderson was also preceded in death by a daughter: Gloria Henderson on July 8, 1981.

Mr. Lester Pickett, son of the late Jim Willie Pickett and Eunice Vanara Orr Pickett, was born on Saturday, January 5, 1918 in Green County and departed this life on Saturday, March 25, 2006 at the Metcalfe Healthcare Center. He was 88 years, 2 months and 20 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Pickett's Chapel United Methodist Church for many years and attended the Fry Baptist Church. He was a 25 year retired employee from Louisville Gas and Electric and a farmer.
He united in marriage to Annis Ortella Rodgers on October 14, 1940 who survives.
Other survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Charles Lester and Joyce Pickett of Green County; a granddaughter: Ashley Sparks and her husband Dwayne of Louisville; a grandson: Charles Joshua Pickett and his wife Stephanie of Mt. Washington; one great-grandson: Colton Sparks; four brothers: Boyce Pickett of Illinois, Joe Pickett of Tennessee, Frank Pickett of LaGrange, and Foster Pickett of Russell Springs; a sister: Ruth Moore of Greensburg and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Pickett was also preceded in death by three brothers and a sister: Harvey Pickett, Ellis Pickett, Ann Austin and Colby Pickett.
The funeral services for Mr. Lester Pickett will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Orr Cemetery. Rev. Larry Wisdom will be officiating.

Katelyn Rose Hamblin, the one month old daughter of William 'Billy' Keith Hamblin III, stationed in Iraq and Amanda Sue Pierce Hamblin of Campbellsville, was born on Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at the University of Louisville Hospital and departed this life on Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at the Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville.
Besides her parents she is survived by her grandparents: Tim and Peggy Pierce of Greensburg, William Keith Hamblin, Jr. of New York and Patricia Lawson of North Carolina; great-grandparents: Garvis and Dorothy Pierce of Greensburg and Nancy Northrup of Louisville; a great-great grandmother: Miriam Day of Louisville; two half-brothers: Wesley Arnett and Jayden Pierce of Campbellsville; and a host of other relatives.
Katelyn was preceded in death by two great-grandparents: James and Helen Creason.
Graveside services for Katelyn Rose Hamblin will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Friday, March 24, 2006 at the Warf Cemetery with Rev. Landon Hadley officiating.
